V.A. sent me hydrocodone 5mg/acetaminophen 325mg. It has red dots all over, with # 3202 on one side, and Watson on the other side. So, is this really hydrocodone, 5, with acetaminophen 325 mg ? My levels came back high for hydrocodone, on blood test, but Rx said " no more than 8 in a 24 hour period, and I have never taken more than that, in 24 hour period. I might have taken one the morning of the test, not sure. Did I cause this error in blood test myself? Thanks DIANE ## Hello, Diane! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had. I bought pain pills from someone bacause my insurance won't cover pain management Dr. Or rx they appear to be the real thing by imprint but i would like to know if there is a way to test the pill without out sending to lab ## Unfortunately, no there isn't, I'm sorry. What is the imprint on them? That's really the only way to tell what something is, most imprints are difficult to copy precisely on fake tablets and it 's usually noticeable if they have been badly done. The imprint will be off-center, or not look quite right compared to images of it. Learn more Vicodin details here.

For many years I've sufferd from Fibro pain and for many years I've taken the generic Watson, which was just fine Now every couple of months the pharmacy changes the generic brand and I've had an incredibly rough time and suffered through the different brands, some are just crap, the pharmacist recommends ti ask the doc to write, Vicodin brand only on the script, this makes perfect sense, but says my insurance may not cover this, Is this truley the best route and dose anyone have suggestion s on the best Watson's or others? I am currently on the 7.5/325. ## Your Dr can write the rx for the brand and specify on the rx to dispense as written no.generic substitutions allowed. It is highly possible that your insurance company won't pay for it. ## Sheila, I take the brand...

I have been on these for awhile but now,it is and oval and has a big V on one side and the numbers 35/98 ## Yes, this is just another generic for the same thing, these ones are made by Vintage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, the dosage is 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 660mgs of Acetaminophen. ## what do you request if you are allergic to yellow dye and these have a orange tint, I had a light receation, then stoped till I could get in them in a white form. Why so hard for RX to get in white ? ## Not hard at all, they are available in white, yellow, orange, blue, and a whole rainbow of colors, it just depends which company made them. What you need to do, is go in and explain to the pharmacist you allergy problems. Most pharmacies simply carry the cheapest one they can find in their providers list of...

I take 10/325 vicodine. My doctor puts on the RX to fill on the 5th of every month. I get 120 and take 4 a day. I run out early a few times a year because if you count the days from the 5th of last month when I got them filled to the 5th of February it actually adds up to to like 32-33 days on some 5th to 5th dates which causes me to run out 2-3 days early. The pharmacist says even though it's a 30 day supply they still can't fill it until the 5th because that's what the RX says. Does the new law address this? Any suggestions? ## The new laws and directives actually place more restrictions on it, so your pharmacy no longer has any leeway and can't fill it until the date the doctor has directed. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming an...

If so does anybody know of a manufacturer that is equivalent to Mallinckrodt? ## Hi I have been taking vicodin For a long time.but from different manufacturers. And recently I got some a couple of days Ago,and it was generic for lortab.it is called norco.and it said generic for lortab.I don't know Who the manufactor is. I'm in Dallas Texas, looking for a doctor who will prescribe Vicodin. I spent money on several visits just to be told they don't write for it. Help I only have a few pills left. Got any other suggestions? ## Hello, Karen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. However, if you look at the FDA website, you'll see that all medications containing Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen were changed to schedule 2 back in October, so you'll need to see a pain management specialist, if you require it on a long-term ongoing basis. General practice doctors won't write for it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Additionally, ...

How can I the generic Vicodin. I want my RX to state "generic for Vicodin" It used to say, Hydrocodone/Apap 5/500. Now when I get my refills it says Hydroco/Apap generic for Norco? Told they are the same so why do I need to take the Norvo in larger doses (2 pills each time) to get the same relief from one generic Vicodin? There must be something my Dr is writing on the prescription that causes this to occur. Thank you for your help ## Hello, Grandma52! How are you? Vicodin actually contained more Acetaminophen than the Norco does, it was available with amounts including 500mgs and over. However, last year, all of the tablets with the higher doses of it were removed from the market. Thus, Vicodin and its generics are no longer available. The maximum dose of Acetaminophen availabl...

I have a Rx of Vic's for 5/325. They r the vintage Qualitest brand. What I find odd is they r oblong white with little pink speck in them. ## That is just something that was done to help distinguish their pills from the others that are on the market, they are just added specks of color and nothing to worry about. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. I had a 2 fills written in Sept. 1 was filled and the other now says non-refillable. I thought the law stated that refills written prior to 10/6/14 would still be allowed to be filled. Isn't that the law? All prescriptions for HCPs must comply with 21 U.S.C. 829(a) and must be issued in accordance with 21 CFR part 1306 and subpart C of 21 CFR part 1311 as of October 6, 2014. No RX's for HCPs issued on or after October 6, 2014 shall authorize any refills. Any prescriptions for HCPs that are issued before October 6, 2014, and authorized for refilling, may be dispensed in accordance with 21 CFR 1306.22–1306.23, 1306.25, and 1306.27, if such dispensing occurs before April 8, 2015. ## Hi Vincent: Yes, that is the federal law. i have a valid script for vicodin 5/500 but no one will fill it now that they have changed the acetaminophen dose. is there anywhere i can still get it filled on the internet or at a pharmacy? ## I'm very sorry, but no. They have been removed from the market, so no one can fill it for you. The best thing to do would be to see your doctor about getting a replacement prescription. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Have them call the the doctor for an adjustment to the new acetaminophen level. Or call around..Some mom and pop shops still have some on the shelves and will quietly sell them to you. Your rx can...

I had a prescription for Voicodin 7.5 a few months ago for a tooth ache. Well, my tooth is hurting again and I was going to take this, but the label is faded and I am not sure now. Novox 10mg is an Rx prescribed for my dog. ## This is the name brand Novox, generic Carprofen. It's peach and oblong with novox on one side and 75/mg on the other. I was wondering if it could be a generic brand of Vicodin? ## It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, the FDA warns that the side effects in a canine might be similar to those in human, so it could cause nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation, which your dog might not be able to communicate, so it is best to keep a close eye on them.
