cymbalta v. duloxotine
Has anyone noticed a difference between generic duloxotine and Cymbalta? I changed in Dec '13 and have had heavier side effects if I miss one dose, esp. diarrhea, constipation and ears ringing. (I take 60 mg with 100mg lamictal.). ## Yes! My drug co. switched me to generic Cymbalta about 8 weeks ago and my anxiety is back with a vengeance. I thought I was going to have a full blown panic attack last night. Will call my dr. today to talk about it. I generally trust generics, but maybe not with a med like Cymbalta. Too essential for me. ## I was on generic Cymbalta for about 4 months and experienced severe headaches, a racing heart, nausea, and tons of sweating. My doctor put me back on the Lilly brand and all the side effects disappeared. I feel like my normal self again. ## Generics ... ...

PMR and statins
Hi. My mum is a very fit 78 yr old. She has been on a very low dose of simvastatins for 17 years. She had minor aches and pains but still fit enough to walk 5 or 6 miles a day, mow her garden and dig vegetable patch. She has stopped taking the stations and is now in extreme pain... Cannot raise her arms, walks only one mile a day and feels tired. She is going to as for a blood test but has anyone heard of side effects of coming off stations? Will this pass? Any suggestions re help? This could be PMR ..... Any advice really appreciated. ## Hello, Clare! How is you mother doing? It's difficult to say what may be causing the problem, it could be PMR, or something else. Has she consulted her doctor, yet? At her age, you really shouldn't just let this go, it needs to be checked out. ...

viibryd headache
I'm 28 and was taken off welbutrin and buspirone and put on viibryd 40mg I was not dosed up BC I was already on the others. I have hard horrible headaches, more anxiety, muscle pain, sleeplessness, more frequent bowel movements (which I am greatful for), cravings for sweets and have gained 5lbs over the past two weeks :( I don't know what else to do the old meds only helped me concentrate. But did little to nothing for my anxiety and depression. ## Hi, Ashely! Sorry about the problems you're having. Side effects such as this may be experienced any time you start a new medication, or increase the dosage of an existing one. They can last for about 4 to 6 weeks, then they will usually start to taper off as your body has a chance to adjust. However, if the headaches are that sev... ...

Cymbalta Absorption in Gastric Bypass
I had a gastric bypass in 2001. I am on a higher dose of Cymbalta. Does anyone know if the absorption of this medication altered by gastric bypass? ## Most medications are, but to be certain, I would recommend checking with your doctor or pharmacist, they will be the only ones who can give you a definite answer on that in relation to the dosage you are on. ## I had Gastric bypass some years ago. There doesn't seem to be any difference. ## I had RNY surgery in 2003. It seems I take higher dosages of ANYTHING, due to the surgery. When (blood) lithium levels were tested, and medication was supposedly a theraputic dosage, I had much lower levels than the norm. I use a pill sorter and NEVER miss doses, so go figure. ## I had RNY in 2006. I don't know about Cymbalta, but my surgeon sa... ...

oramorth and tramadol mixed
is it safe to take tramadol between doses of oramorph ## Has your doctor prescribed them to be taken this way? If not, I would say you shouldn't, because they are both analgesics and you do run the risk of an overdose or causing permanent organ damage. Spotting on Loestrin vs. Lo loestrin
Hi, all- So the general rule of thumb I've always known is the lower the dose, the higher the chance of spotting/breakthrough bleeding. However, my doctor advised me that LO loestrin might actually lessen the change of intermenstrual bleeding because at a certain point, the dose gets so low that the lining of the uterus doesn't build up sufficiently for any bleeding to occur at all. My question: has anyone had experience with taking both Loestrin and Lo Loestrin? Did you experience, more, less, or the same amount of spotting/breakthrough bleeding between periods? I totally trust my doctor, yet I'm somehow reluctant to try lest it get even worse... Thanks! M ## My 15 yr old daughter had heavy bleeding and started bc to stop . She continued with heavy break through bleeding fo... ...

pink ## Bupropion is color coded for dosage and absorption rates. Where is that information?? ## Well first of all, that is incorrect, so that information is not available. What a pill looks like, even Burpropion is totally up to the manufacturer, yes, the orignal med manufacturer who had the proprietary patent on the med usually does code them that way, but once a med is available for generic production, it can look however the generic manufacturers decide they want the pill to look, so the size, shape, and color are entirely up to their whit and whim. The FDA and DEA do not have any requirements stating that they must be coded that way, their only requirements state all prescription pills manufactured and/or legally sold in the US must have a unique imprint for ID purposes. So a certa... ...

DILTIAZ ER (XR) 240/24 cap generic for dilacor. Is this just diltiazem?
Doctor increased dose from 180 and BP still not budging. Have large red bruises on arms, even small hit will cause great blood spots. Can this be the Dilitaz? ## Hi, Keith! Sorry about the problem you're having. And yes, that could be due to an issue with the medication and you need to contact your doctor about it as soon as possible. They'll need to check it out to ensure that it's not a serious health complication starting and you'll most likely need to switch to a different medication. I'm not sure why they just increased the dosage, if it wasn't working to begin with, then just trying a different medication is usually the best approach. How long have you been taking it? ## I was taking TAZTIA 180 for a long time, and it didn't really help much, then Dr. s... ...

is it the same as Norco ## Yes, they are both just brand names used by different companies for medications that contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone in different dosages. What Time Of Day Should I Take Dexilant Dr 60 Mg
Is it better in the morning, afternoon of nithg before bed. ## Hi Sal, The dosing instructions for this medication state the following: "Dexilant (Dexlansoprazole) comes as a delayed-release (long-acting) capsule to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day. Dexlansoprazole may be taken with or without food, but it may provide more relief from after-meal symptoms if it is taken before a meal. Take dexlansoprazole at around the same time every day." It does not indicate a specific time of day to take the medication, so that decision is going to be up to you at your own convenience. If it's something that effects you the point of not being able to function at a normal level, then it may be best to take it at night or in the evening hours when you may be in the comfort of y... ...

Aspirin Ec 325 Mg
how come I can't find info: on this med:? that is it's purpose? how dose it help me? ## Not sure what search you used, but I just googled it and I found info on it. It is Aspirin Enteric Coated; It works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. Correct me if I'm wrong but It doesn't seem any different than a normal Aspirin tab with a higher dose of 325 mg rather than the more common 81 mg. Can I take 2 in one dosage ## You should only take them in the dose that you've been instructed to take. These contain 550mgs of Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and while they can be greatly helpful medications, there are also some possible risks associated with them, especially if you exceed the recommended dosage, such as liver damage, stomach ulceration and risk of bleeding. Taxim O Cefixime Oral Suspension Use
my kid is 3 & 1/2 yrs old. he has blocked nostrils and cough so how should use this dose for him ## Well a suspension is meant to be swallowed orally. However, Cefixime is an antibiotic and if he just has nasal congestion and a cough due to a cold, this won't help, because a cold is caused by a virus, not a bacterial infection. Was this prescribed by his doctor? If you aren't familiar with it, you can learn more Cefixime details here. ...
