Levothyroxine breast tenderness
I had a total thyroidectomy and 10 lymphnodes removed due to papillary carcinoma in october 2012. I started a higher dose of levothyroxine (150mcg) a week ago. I'm having a myriad of the "less common" symptoms that I'm hoping will go away as my body acclimates. The most annoying is I have extreme breast tenderness and swelling. It is to the point where it hurts to be hugged and no bras I have fit. Is that normal and should I expect it to dissipate as I acclimate? ## Hi Leah, In time, your body should acclimate to the medication and the symptoms should go away. However, since your pain seems to be more severe, I would definitely speak with your doctor if it persists or becomes totally unbearable. Learn More: Levothyroxine Details I hope this insight helps! Side Effects VS Neuro-Cardiogenic Syncope
My son is 14 and has been taking Vyvanse for about one year now. His current dose is 60mg daily. Over the past 4 months he has been experiencing side effects that led doctors to think that he has Neuro-Cardiogenic Syncope also known as POTS (Postural Orhtostatic Tachycardia Syncope). So now on top of his Vyvanse he is now taking Toprol 25mg daily. His symptoms include rapid heart beat, dizziness, blurred vision, and chest pain. He had a TILT test performed and failed. But now after reading more, I think that these symptoms are all side effects of his medication. He participates in sports and can no longer get through a wrestling match without the symptoms so severe, he has to quit the match. Has anyone else had this? ## Hi Paula, I'm sorry to hear about what you and your son are goi... ...

Have been on bisoprolol for 4 months and following effect happens like clockwork. Two hours after taking bisoprolol my throat goes very dry, coughing spells occur, some nauseau, and I become short of breath. These side effects last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. I have read up on bisoprolol side effects and they fit the profile daily. Clonidine 0.01mg.
How many Clonidine's of 0.01 mg could cause an overdose?? A friend of mine has taken more than prescribed and I would like to know if what she did take is safe or not. ## My mistake. It's clonidine 0.1 mg ## Without knowing how many they took, it's difficult to say. When it comes to overdosing, it can vary according to the medication taken, the person's overall health and their tolerance to the medication in question. In other words, someone with a very high tolerance that has taken something for years may not have any problems taking a very high dose of something, where a fraction of it may cause an overdose in someone that has not been on it very long or who is in questionable health. However, yes this one can be dangerous due to its mechanism of action, so if you'... ...

CONCOR+MULTAQ
Can high dossages of Bisoprolol (5mg+0+5mg) may be used with a single dossage of Multaq 400mg (1+0+0)? Is there any sideeffects using these medicines togetherly? I am a patient of HCM (non) with irregular heartbeats age 43ys . Current treatment Concor5mg+0+Concor5mg with Plavix ## Use of the Beta Blocker Bisoprolol, with the Dronedarone in the Multaq could result in increased plasma concentrations of the Bisoprolol, this can result in Bradycardia and also increase the depressant effects of the Dronedarone. Thus, if your doctor is going to have you use them together, your dose should be carefully adjusted and you should be monitored regularly. Are there any comments or questions? ...

Metformin Hcl 500 Mg does it +up to 1000er
Is two 500 hcl metformin the same as 1000 er ## Hi tam, Not entirely. While the dosage certainly adds up to 1000mg, there is still a big difference between immediate release formulas and extended (time-released) formulas. The time-released tablets are more geared towards 24 hour - around the clock pain relief; while the standard immediate release tabs are said to be more ideal for short term pain management patients. Whether you take 500mg or 1000mg of Metformin, the time-release effect will always outlast the immediate release effect in terms of longer pain relief (although some patients claim the immediate release formula to have a stronger effect, since it hits you all at once, per say). I hope this explanation helps! ## Only if they are also time released, since you listed ER by the... ...

dextroamphetamine and medicare
My mother was told that her doctor could no longer prescribe the dextroamphetamine that she has been taking, at minimum dose, for oer 50 years. She takes it for ADHD and narcolepsy. Her doctor tells her that it is no longer legal to "provide" it for her because congress has made it illegal to "provide" to any medicaid patient for any reason. Can someone help me follow this up? If the story she is telling me is true, I need to write my congressman to protest. Since when does the Federal government have the right to interfere in our private health care needs - she is not asking them to pay for the medication, she has simply LOST THE RIGHT TO HAVE IT PRESCRIBED TO HER. Is there anyone else out there that thinks this is WRONG?! ## This is not true. I take 2, 10mg dextroamphe... ...

Exalgo 8mg
I am just now taking this medication, but feel like I am having to take more hydrocodone 10's. I got off the fentanyl patches for the same reason. I am scared I may take too many and overdose......? Does anyone suggest anything? Also, I wake up in the middle of the middle of the night in severe pain. ## What dosage and frequency of taking them has your doctor recommended? You should be following that and, if it isn't handling your pain, then you should contact them for assistance. You can learn more Exalgo details here. I know pain is miserable, but a fatal overdose would be even worse. You have to be really careful with the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen, since you can't exceed 4,000mgs of the Acetaminophen in a day, going over that creates the danger of toxicity overdose from i... ...

Help Chris
I am a 42 year old male that weighs 220 pounds!I want to know if i can take two Lodrane 24D capsules at the same time before bed? ## The usual dosage for Adults is 1 Capsule every 4-6 hours, and to not exceed 4 capsules within a 24 hour period. If it says you can't take more than 4 capsules within a 24hr period, then in my opinion, taking two capsules at once wouldn't be much different (based on relative dosing and the time gap in between). For your own safety I wouldn't recommend ignoring those dosing guidelines, because these medications can affect everyone differently. Have you tried any other allergy medications that might be more effective with a single dose? ...

There are only 5 and 10 mg pills... And they are the worst drug ever invented. Great if you are gonna be on narcotics literally for the rest of your life!! you will never get off them and if you do your memory will be ruined.
