QI am looking for a good mild/moderate narcotic for break through pain . I am allready on hydro/norco 10/325 and it only las about 3-4 hours and thenn wears off. Any sugestions. I see a pain management Dr for chronic pain. I've had a very difficult time in finding the RIGHT medication for this. I recently had my 2nd disc repair surgery on my neck and I've made sure to follow all protocols with prescriptions between my pain management Dr and my surgeon. My biggest issue right now is that I've been taking Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 7.5/325 in liquid form. Today my husband took me in for a follow up appointment and we found out that this medication is no longer available in the liquid form. I take the liquid form because of a poor absorption issue with my stomach after having a bad gastric bypass surgery (while I lost a great amount of weight my stomach is totally screwed up now). I recently had a major cervical and spine surgery. But still the pain is very severe with me taking 20mg of oxycodone every 3 hrs plus 1000 mg of Tylenol Extra every 6 hrs. I have severe chronic back pain and Fibromyalgia and have tried steroids, injections, therapy (both physical and mental) and nothing has helped except narcotic pain medication. But with the new regs. etc, I cannot find a Dr to prescribe them. ## I've been transferred to Muscatine, Iowa for business and I'm having trouble finding pain management clinics that will take cash. I've been in pain management for 14 years and a lot of the doctors that I've been calling in the Quad cities are not even accepting new patients. Someone please help.

Hi. I have a question about fentanyl. I'm on 25+12mg every 72hr but still in a lot off pain. Now I heard from a friend that oxycodone 80mg is stronger. What are the ingredients in Optalidon and is it addictive? ## Hi Gail, From what I could find, caffeine and propyphenazone are reported to be the two active ingredients in "Optalidon N". Neither are a narcotic or opioid, but propyphenazone does have pain relieving and fever reducing properties. As far as addiction is concerned, we all know that caffeine can be abused. However, when it comes to the other ingredient propyphenazone, I haven't come across any specific details stating whether it's addictive/habit forming or not. Though, if you take it as prescribed there really shouldn't be any problems with that?

I found this pill in my sons room and he said it was a roxycotton I need to know what it is and what it looks like. This was a white pill that had some letters on it. ## The challenge is that Roxicodone (active ingredient Oxycodone) can have many different appearances. This is a potentially dangerous and addicting narcotic, and can be fatal when consumed with alcohol. Please intervene and make sure your son stops with these. I just moved to Ocean County NJ from North Carolina....I have had 2 failed back surgeries and 1 failed neck surgery and still with 2 herniated discs in my back, one torn disc, and 2 herniated discs in my neck. Hello I'm trying to find out the new pain medicine that kids are taking today that replaces the pain pill oxycontin. I saw a show on TV about this but I can't remember what It's called? I think it starts with the letterA? It's the new drug craze today. ## The only one I can think of offhand that starts with an A would be Actiq, it contains the narcotic Fentanyl, which is over 80 times stronger than Morphine and is available as a lollipop, it's a formulation used for slow release of the medication. Like everyone else I am having a hard time finding a pharmacy that will fill my pain medication, I live in Brandon near Tampa Fla. My Dr. will only give me certain meds because he is aware of the problems getting some meds filled. When I went to the pharmacy I asked him and he said the same thing, I then said I guess I could do a mail order for the meds the pharmacy won't fill and the pharmacist told me that it is illegal to get narcotic pain meds mailed in Florida. I just had a script filled by mail in March, does anyone know if they changed that law? I know a lot of new regulations went into effect April 1st. Like Dr. cannot up your dose or quanity of certain meds after 4/1, many other state and federal changed too that don't apply to pain meds but I am just concerned about ha...

Hi I have got gallstones and I have been given oramorph and co deine and paracetamol from the hospital I am on 5ml every 4 hours but still the pain is bad would I ne able to take it every 2 hours or 10ml every 4 hours ## Hello, Jacqui! How are you? You should not change your dosage, without your doctor's approval. Both the Oramorph and the Codeine are narcotics, so you may overdose if you do so, they also carry the risk of being habit forming. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Paracetamol is also dangerous, if you take too much each day, an overdose of it could result in fatal toxicity. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Need an understanding pain management Doctor in CHATTANOOGA TENNESSEE! I suffer terribly with constant ongoing chronic pain that nerds to be treated with narcotics and muscle relaxant for Transvaginal mesh erosion complications and fibromyalgia. What if anything does anyone know about Exlago instead of the Opana 30mg or Opana 40mg for pain because the new ones do not give the same relief as they did?
