Morphine Sulfate 10mg

Im taking 30 mgs of morphine 3 times a day. It doesnt make me feel high r anything. It just takes away my chronic back pain, due to a couple of back surgies. Im also taking tramdol 50 mgs of tramdol also works good. However, in order for any of these meds to work. I have tlo take 3 pills of each, meaning im taking 90mgs of morphine and a 150 of tramdol. The pain clinic and the Doctor that prescribes my morphine. I dont feel like he has my best interest at heart. He seems to be me like a legalize drug dealer. How many 15 mg of Morphine Sulfate equal 4 of the 10 mg Hydrocodone?? ## Morphine and Hydrocodone are generally considered equal in strength, when taken orally, so a 10mg Morphine tablet would be equal to 10mgs of Hydrocodone, this your 15mg Morphine is actually a stronger dose than what you were taking of the Hydrocodone. 3 of the Morphine 15mg tablets would be 45mgs and that would actually still be 5mgs stronger than the 40mgs in 4 of the Hydrocodone tablets. My morphine sulfate 60mg were stolen, and I hve some methadone 10mg. I was supposed to take the Morphine sulfate 60mg X3 a day. How should I take these methadone 10mg to help me get through until I see My Dr. next week? ## I'd suggest actually calling your doctor to see what you should do. If you're under a treatment contract, taking something else, regardless of the circumstances, without doctor's permission could violate it and result in your getting dismissed as a patient. How different is Morphine Sulfate 30mg E 653 from a 30mg perocet, and is it dangerous to take it like its a percocet or vicodin, is it ok to take in severe cases of plantars fasciitis ## There is no 30mg Percocet, so I assume you're talking about a regular release Oxycodone tablet, whereas Percocet would contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and is only available with a maximum of 10mgs of the Oxycodone. As to a comparison, Oxycodone is actually one and half times stronger than Morphine, so it would take 45mgs of Morphine to equal 30mgs of the Oxcycodone, so you may not get as much pain relief, as you would from the Oxycodone. My Dr doesn't want to treat my chronic pain cause she says it's untreatable...? Here's what she's done in the meantime, she prescribed 10mg max 3 per day of Morphine sulfate and she thinks that's a high dose, which does nothing for me. I've had my right knee replacement done 3yrs ago and my left knee being scheduled this fall. The pain is unbelievably awful. Pain is shooting from my knee up into my thigh and lower back. I ran out of percocet 10mg for breakthrough pain due to insurance problems. The soonest I can get a refill will be in 2 days. I take Morphine Sulfate ER 30mg every 12 hours. Does anyone take Kadian? How is it? How long does it last? It is not very strong to me. ## In response to the question about Kadian, I have taken it in a dosage of 12 to 20 100mg capsules per day. It is basically morphine sulfate, and the thing I do like about it is that it kills the pain more in the body as opposed to the brain, so you feel more normal. The down side is that is makes you sleepy sometimes, causes more constipation than Oxy, or Feninyl, and has a ceiling around 2 grams/day, in other words beyond that amount there is no additional relief when taking more of the med. Overall, I have found that I can take it once a day along with 4 30mg Oxycondone IR in the morning and two to four 10mg Valiums at bed time. My doctor put me on the morphine to try to wean me down from taking 4 percocets to 3. I took my first morphine at midnight - and I still feel pretty good 10 hours later. My question is, how is the morphine released into my blood stream? i.e. do I feel relief immediately - or 45 mins later and then every 1/2 hour or so more is released? Maybe this benefit of 10 to 12 hours relief will dissipate over the next few days to lasting only 5-6 hours? I have had 6 back surgerys with pins,screws and many of fusions.over the past 5 years or more have been on oxycodone 10-325 4 to5 times a day. Now with new pain management on 5-325 oxycodone 2 a day for break through and 15 mg morphine sulfate every 12 hrs. In pain consistently. I ran out of Percocet 8 days early. I know people make excuses as to why this happens, but I went to jiffy lube and forgot that my coin purse was on the seat. It had 15 pills in it! I put them in that coin purse, in case of an emergency. Luckily, I still have a few more. My dr. prescribed morphine sulfate 15 mg twice a day. I have not taken it yet. i have been taking 60mg.morphine sulfate with little relief i just started on methadone hcl 10mg. & found them to be stronger & more effective my wife just believes that it is the change but i am convinced the methadone is stronger who is right? ## It would take 15mgs of Methadone to equal each 60mgs dose of the Morphine, so I'd have to give the win to your wife. However, there is a caveat, it may not be just because of the change to a different medication, it could be due to the fact that the Methadone may just work better for you. Recently after losing a family member (to the same painful disease me and my brother have) I found this package of really old vials of Morphine Sulfate, 10mg in a closet. I don't know when they expired as they have no date. But they look really old and are slightly yellowish. They were made by Wyeth to be injected using a device called a Tubex. The plastic wrapped package has 4 sealed glass vials with the needles and rubber stopper attached. My question is if really old morphine is dangerous or painful to use? I know it probably won't do anything, but I figured on a bad day why not try. I was going to try one vial IM to be safe.
