On May 2012, I got my 1st Prolia injection. Four months later, I gradually started to have groin, hip, thigh and lower back pain on the right side. My rheumatologist says that I have severe osteoarthritis in my lower back and mild to moderateosteoarthritis in my right hip. I can still walk with some pain and bending to tie my shoes or put socks on is excrutiating. Sept. 2015 and I am still on Prolia. Could this be the cause of all my pain? ## Hello, Louise! How are you? Yes, it is possible that it's due to the Prolia. Many people have experience such side effects from it, along with headache and dizziness, as listed by the FDA. In many cases, it has been so severe that they had to stop taking it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes, it is a possibility that Prolia has cau...

QI am looking for a good mild/moderate narcotic for break through pain . I am allready on hydro/norco 10/325 and it only las about 3-4 hours and thenn wears off. Any sugestions. Three bad dis in neck and fibromyagia with severe migranies i think being put out of me out misery would be better lol. ## Hi vonda, Based on your description, I get the sense that you may want to ask your doctor about trying an extended release pain medication, for something that lasts a lot longer than 3-4 hours. A few different options in that category are: AVINZA capsules are a modified-release formulation of morphine sulfate indicated for once daily administration for the relief of moderate to severe MS CONTIN (another variation of morphine sulfate) is an opioid agonist product indicated for the management ...

Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen,[a] is a medication used to treat fever and mild to moderate pain.[11][12] At a standard dose, paracetamol only slightly decreases body temperature;[11][13][14] it is inferior to ibuprofen in that respect,[15] and the benefits of its use for fever are unclear.[11][16][17] Paracetamol may reliev...

I have COPD and my doctor gave me Tylenol 3 and they don't work. I've been on them for 5 months and they don't work. ## Codeine is actually a very mild opiate, so it doesn't help everyone that takes it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you informed your doctor of the problem? You may need to try something stronger.

I had severe back pain, lower lumbar, doctor said it is minor slip disc and advised me to take Recool along with other couple of medicines like Lofecam and Myoril. Recool I understand is more for reducing the heartburns and ulcers of stomach(acidity). Why , tablet Recool for conditions like mild slip disc?. ## Hello, Siva! How are you? A medication like Rekool is often prescribed with a medication such as Lofecam, because it can cause stomach irritation and possibly ulceration as side effects, according to the U.S. FDA, so it is usually intended to try to prevent such issues from occurring. Other side effects may also include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

im suffering from heel spurs what medicines should i take ## Hello, Lalyn! How are you? How do you know you have heel spurs? Has a doctor made this diagnosis? And other than some mild pain medications, the only available treatments if you do have them would be options that only your doctor can provide, such as orthotic shoe inserts or surgery.

I have really bad back pains. I have tried everything to mild the pain but nothing works. Can I take Dolo-Neurobion Forte for my back pain? ## I doubt that it will help, it just contains a complex of B vitamins, with Acetaminophen (aka Tylenol). The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache. What other medications have you tried? ## Yes, it's useful for pain relief. Headaches, migraine. Spasms. Good for the brain. ## Hi, i want to know which neurobion is good for my cracking/popping my knee and legs. 4 months ago when i feel this case. Thanks. ## Which is better to take nuerogen forte or just nuerogen 300 for scolliosis? ## Yes, Dolo NEUROBION Forte Works very well for back pain. I have been taking pantoprazole 40mg for almost 3 months now and while it helped my abdominal pain after 1 month of use the symptoms are now returning in a milder form. I experience sharp pain in my upper left side ( stomach area), gas and hunger pains that are normally relieved by eating. Lately, the discomfort can be felt on the right side slightly also and in my left side and back. What is going on? Shouldn't the medication help this? ## Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach, so it can help treat or prevent conditions such as ulcers, GERD, heartburn and gastritis. But it can cause stomach pain and bloating as side effects, so that may be what's causing your problem. Alternatively, you may have something else going on a...

My eldery lady has back pain all the time, she is confined to her recliner and she doesn't walk. Will this combination of diclofenac, gabapentin & lidocaine help alleviate her back pain? It originally was presribed for pain in her feet. ## Hi Patti, As a topical pain-relieving cream, it may help. However, one cannot distinctly say that it will or will not without trying it first. - Diclofenac is a NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) marketed for use in treating mild to moderate pain/inflammation. - Gabapentin is marketed for use in treating nerve pain (as well as certain types of seizures). - Lidocaine is a sodium channel blocker marketed for use in relieving pain and numbing tissue (skin). To what extent these ingredients will help her pain is anyone's guess... How...

Hello, I injured my back about 10 years ago. An X-rat showed a collasped, bulging L5 disc. With muscle relaxers and mild pain meds I could function. As the years have passed, the pain has become chronic. Over the last year, the pain has become acute. On my bad days, the pain is so severe I can't move. I can't get dressed or feed my cats. I spend the day trying to find a comfortable position to sit or stand. I stopped working last February and now I am on Medicaid. I found an internist who is very sweet, but does not treat chronic pain. He advised me to find a pain management doctor. I went to one. It was a strange consultation. She had my MRIs and all my other medical reports. I told her I can't drive anymore or work. And a list of other things I can't do without help. Duri

What is the role of libotryp in treating frozen shoulder and what are its side effects? ## I am suffering from a mild mitral valve problem and am taking acitrom 1mg, pentids 800 and atocor 10 mg since i have to visit a spine doctor for a back problem. The Dr. gave me clopitab A, cobix 200 and nexito. l'm on 1 day & had some imbalance issues after taking additional medicine. Please advise. I also have some tingling on my eyes and lips sometimes. ## Libotryp contains Amitriptyline and Chlordiazepoxide, it is actually an antidepressant, but some medication in this class can help with some types of nerve pain. Do you know what has caused the frozen shoulder? If it is from an injury that needs to heal, this will probably not help much. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsin...

I'm a Parkland patient that's been diagnosed with degenerative facet arthritis. My MRI shows moderate stenosis in C3-4, 6,7. Mild disc bulge in C3-7. My PCP has scheduled an appointment with the Pain Management Dept. but the appointment isn't until September. I need some relief now. Is there anyone that will prescribe me something stronger than Tramado until I can get into the Pain Management Clinic? Please help. ## Dear Rick, Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I realize that you posted this back in May earlier this year, so I don't know if you managed to find a solution yet...
