i have found a bottle of pills in my mom's desk drawer they are round, orange or peach in color, with a M on one side and the other side says 751... are these methadone pills? ## No, the M on the pills actually doesn't stand for what they contain, it is just the manufacturer's logo. The tablets actually contain 10mgs of Cyclobenzaprine, the active ingredient in Flexeril, it is a muscle relaxant. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. I have been taking Methadone for opiate addiction for almost 20 years! It has worked for me! The only time I relapsed was when I moved from NY to Ohio and had to wait to transfer into a different clinic. I have been clean since 2002! My problem is; I recently lost my medicaid because I do not live with my 12yr.daughter and her mom anymore.Ohio Social Services does NOT give medicaid to single men unless they are on disability or SSI. I am on neither being that I am capable of working, even though I am a insulin-dependent Diabetic also.I work part-time making 8.00per hour. The clinic I go to is 60 miles away, and medicaid was paying for my transportation also. Now I am faced with two dilemmas...getting to the clinic twice a week because I do not have a car at this time (I do get "take...

Iwas put on Methodone 5-6 years ago for chronic back pain and fibromyalgia. My ankles starting swelling so my Dr. put me on a fentanyl patch. with Norco for breakthrough. I have ben doing pretty well. A few months ago I decided to get off the drugs. I have been on 25mcg patch for a couple of months, and the other day deciced it was time to quit.My Dr. knows what my plan is. Anyway it's been a pretty miserable couple of days. The second night I put on a patch for a few hours to sleep. So sincde yesterday I have been a real TWEEKER-restless body, flipping all over the place, can't eat, can't sleep, achy. Right or wrong I am rationing the Norco I have left atlernating with tylenol, and taking klonipin. It sucks. I am so glad that I am not alone, while at least I can read what o...

I'm on 100 mg of methodone and im thinking of switching to subut ex ! What is the side affects I have heard so many diff. Stuff so could u plz help me ## Hello, Dawn! How are you? Subutex carries the risk of causing the same side effects as Methadone and other opiate narcotics. The active ingredient in it is Buprenorphine, so it can also be habit forming and cause dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, depression and constipation. The difference is that is isn't known to cause the withdrawals that are as severe as those of Methadone, nor to cause cravings. So, unlike Methadone treatment, where people usually end up on a lifetime maintenance dose of it, those who take Subutex or Suboxone usually end up eventually becoming entirely drug free. Are there any other questions or concerns?

i'm 46 year old male, had been taking vicodin for 12 years for back problems.i tried quiting 3 months ago have had a hard time with it.dealing with cronic back&joint pain, and withdralls, was wondering if i'm a canidate for methodone treatment, and also if there are any drs.in orange county ny that can prescribe it. ## Methadone treatment cannot be provided by a regular doctor, it can only be provided by someone that's specially trained and must be done in a clinical setting. Learn more Methadone details here. That said, whether or not you are a candidate depends on how much of the Vicodin you've been taking. If you've only been using prescribed amounts, then you'll most likely be better off just tapering off it, rather than resorting to addiction treatment. How ...

My son has been a methodone for program for 5 months. He is disabled and his only means of income is $1,100 a month on SSD. He has to pay $35 a week to get his methodone. They ask him anywhere from 2 to 3 times a week for a U.A which they charged him $20 per diagnosis. This is from $40 to $60 a week that he does not have. If they do not get their money they refuse to give him his medicine. I am a senior citizen and cannot afford an extra $40 or $60 a week to give him. They hold him for ransom if he does not have the money. He tells them he will give it to them when he gets his check on the 3rd Wednesday of each month but they say no. If this fair?? ## Hello, Npet! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that your son is having. Is it necessarily fair? No! But is it legal, so t...

i am perscribed 2 10mg methadone 4 x a day and i was sorting my meds for the weak and i took the wrong pile of pills and that was 6 10mg of methodone instead of my mixture of pills perscribed to me wich are 20mg methadon 8mg hydromorphine tinazadine and gabapentin should i worry about this ## Are you okay? Did anything happen? There is a chance that it could be too high of a dose and cause an overdose, but that would really be worse case scenario. Since you are used to taking Methadone, it would be most likely to just make you very drowsy and sick. Learn more Methadone details here.

I'm on 130mil of methadone a day but got a couple 75mil tapenadols from a friend bc in 2 weeks had 6 teeth pulled and dentist only gave me 5mil hydros. So I just wanted to kno if I took them together I wouldn't go into withdraw. Please answer asap.. thanks guys ## Hello, Based on my research, using tapentadol with methadone can increase side effects like dizziness, impaired judgement or thinking, and difficulty concentrating. If you were to take all of these medications together for a considerate amount of time, there is the possibility of becoming dependent on them- so when you stop taking them you may experience some withdrawal symptoms. Everyone's body chemistry is unique though, so it's impossible for me to know how your body will react to the medications for certain...

Do these doctors prescribe methodone? I know someone that has used street drugs most their life. They need a doctor who can prescribe methodone! ## Hello, Margie! How are you? This website does not prescribe, nor sell any medications, it is an information only resource, I'm sorry. Under current U.S. law, Methadone can only be prescribed to treat addiction by someone specially trained in it's use, and it must be done in a clinical setting. So, while it may be expensive and inconvenient, a Methadone clinic is the only option. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Suboxone might be something to consider, since it doesn't require daily clinic visits. Is this pe...

Ive been using Methadone for chronic pain for over 7 years. I went through the full gambit of Opioid medication and always got to the point of abuse to function. After 11 surgeries and 2 full knee replacements I'm at the end of my rope. The cost for trying to feel like moving every day has become too expensive. I need to find an alternative. If I say things like this to a M.D.. he'd make me see a PHD and that would be on going and more expensive. Please help me find an alternative. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. However, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you will need to see a specialist to have such medications prescribed. A PCP is no longer allowed to prescribe them on a long-term ongoing basis. This is a nar...

Can I take both kinds of pills to help get rid of the pain? ## white round pill with watson 932 ## Its not a good idea at all! Your doctor may have short changed you when he did the conversion? I took Methadone for 11 years before switching to Oxycontin 3 months ago. The switch was very difficult! I had Methadone withdrawals for 3 weeks which made my pain even worse. I continued to hurt much more than I ever had while taking Methadone but my pain doc wanted me to give it 2 full months. I was about at wits end when the 2 months were up. That's when my doc reworked the conversion and admitted he short changed me because...

please help me obtain methodone in florida ## Hi matt, Your best bet for obtaining methadone is the legit way, through a doctor and a prescription. Buying off the streets is just a gamble in my opinion. Many people get a fake drug or something that just doesn't work as well as they had originally thought. The price may be higher with a prescription, but your also paying for the security of getting what you want and having the availability of your doctor's help. I am on the methodone clinics ,I have a mirgain ,is it OK to take lannet ## Hello, Luisa! How are you? Which medication are you asking about? Lannett is the name of a pharmaceutical manufacturer, not the name of a medication. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! Methadone is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I just wanted to know if Methodone and Trazodone are related, or are in the same family. ## No! Methadone is a narcotic/opiate, used to treat pain and drug addiction. Trazodone is an antidepressant. I believe your confusion was caused because the names are so similar at the end, but you were incorrectly spelling Methadone. Do you have any other questions?

Apo tramadol is the only other opiod I could find because I cant afford my medication for methodone anymore, and withdrawel is insane. Am I going to die? ## Hello, Hallows! How are you? I doubt you'll die, but the withdrawals could cause dangerous seizures which may require emergency medical attention. Tramadol is nowhere near as potent as Methadone. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you discussed the situation with your doctor?
