with met xl 50 I take other drugs like nitrocontin 2.6 BD, atorva 40 OD, cardace 2,5 BD, Deplatt A -75 BD,Ranolazine 500 BD, Glimisave m1 forte OD, glycomat OD. last month done engio, stenting could not done due calcification. done ballooning. after a month feeling jaw heaviness after 8 to 10 mins walk at 4.5 speed which earlier felt mildly that too after 25 to 30 mins walk. Is this any effect of the medicine? ...

Does this medicine cause constipation my Dr has prescribed laxative. Is it safe? ## From what I can find, this contains Metooprolol and Amlodipine, it is used to help control blood pressure. And yes, it can cause constipation for some people and some doctors will give laxatives or stool softeners for a certain period of time for people that are new on the drug, to prevent it. My husband is having problems with no for the past couple of months.. He has hypertension ranging from 170/110 to 150/90...he was given metoprolol 25 by the doc .. But yesterday he started feeling very restless towards the evening and was sweating badly and there was uneasiness in the body .. We went to the doc today and he has been diagnosed with perpetual hypertension and is advised the below medicines Met XL 50- 2 times a day Telma 40- 1 a day along with nerve up and gem cal etc... Are there any side effects for this drug ?? I had angioplasty done two years ago. The doctor put me on Met XL R 25/2.5 and Prolomet AM 50 for my bp. I also take Ecosprin AV 75 regularly. I feel at times very tired without any workout and bit depressed. Feel weak in my legs when I walk. Lots of gas and palpitation on and off. I am wondering if it is due to these tabs. Kindly advise. I am a 60 year old male with high BP. I was taking Losar 50 mg ×2 and metoprolol XL 25mg × 2 but as my BP shot up to 160/90 with heaviness in my head and neck, the doctor changed the medicines and introduced Temsan-H in the morning and metoprolol XL 25mg in the evening since the last 3 days. I am feeling better but since introduction of this medicine at times I feel slight pressure on the upper part of the chest. Is this side effects of Temsan-H and reducing the dose of metoprolol?
