doc advised me to take this tablet 3 times a day( after food) i.e morning, afternoon, and night.... so my question is if I consume this tablet 3 times in a day then will it nullify the sugar level I mean will it bring the sugar level below 50 ??? ## Hi Mady, Unfortunately there's no real way of knowing how this medication is going to end up affecting you and your blood sugar levels until you try it enough times to develop a true opinion. The effect this has on someone else's blood sugar levels may be totally different than yours based on several individual and biological factors. But with all do respect, isn't your doctor supposed to be monitoring your progress on a regular basis while you're first starting out on Metformin?

What happens if x Met sr 500mg tab is consumed on an empty stomach? ## Actually, that's when it should be taken, on an empty stomach just before a meal. This contains the active ingredient Metformin in a time released formulation, it is an oral antidiabetic medication that's used to help lower and control blood sugar. Taking it just before a meal allows some of the medication to start being released, so it can start working to help control your blood sugar by the time you are digesting your food. Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, flatulence and low blood sugar. Learn more XMet-SR details here. Methylcobal 500 mg is taken for what. Does ot have any side effects ? Is it a substitute of Becosule capsules. Thanks ## Methylcobalamin is a form of Vitamin B12, so it is a nutritional supplement. And no, it is not a direct substitute for Becosule, because it is a multivitamin supplement. As a supplement, the side effect profiles for it are not studied, as is done for prescription drugs, however, some people do experience some nausea, after taking it. It is used to treat or prevent the conditions that can be caused by a deficiency in the nutrients that it contains. Are there any other questions?

I am taking one Osertile 100 plus tablet and one Frenxit for each day for reducing high blood pressure. I have been suffering deficiency of vitamin B12. IIt is 155.49 pg/ml. I feel unbalance between head and leg. Can I take methycobal tablet with Osertile and frenxit ? If yes, then please mention doses and time. ## Have you consulted a doctor? I cannot find any information on Osertile and what it contains. Frenxit contains the active ingredients Flupenthixol and Melitracen, these drugs are used to treat mental health disorders, not high blood pressure. And since the B12 is a supplement, its interactions with medications have not been studied and, depending on your other medical conditions, how much you can safely taken must be carefully considered. This is why you should consult a docto...

I just got my RX for metformin Hcl 500 mg. tablets. I am confused as to when is the best time of day for me to take it. Should I take it in the morning, or, at night before bed? Do I need to take it on an empty stomach, or, with food? ## Ideally, it should usually be taken in the morning, just before a meal, that way it has time to start working to help lower your blood sugar by the time your body starts digesting your meal. Learn more Metformin details here. Didn't your doctor or pharmacist provide any instructions? ## My Dr. said to take it in the morning, but, the printout that comes with prescriptions said to take with dinner. So, I was confused. I take 2 tablets in the morning at breakfast and 2 tablets at dinner time. I was advised recently to test my sugar 2 hours after each meal for beakfast, lunch and dinner. They said it should be under 140. I can not get under 141 after breakfast, it is usually around 220. Two hours after lunch it is usually below 140, even though i do not take any tablets at lunch. I have tried taking the tablets 1 hour before i eat breakfast and the results are closer to 140. The only time i show bad results is at breakfast. Can you explain whe i should take the tablets? Will Metronidazole 500 mg help my boyfriend if he has a UTI ??? We have not been with anyone else so we know it is not a venereal disease, but do not know what it is and they want $450.00 co-pay at the hospital. In other words will the Metronidazole 500 mg take it away if it is a UTI???? ## Hello, Nicole! How is your boyfriend doing? If he is showing symptoms, he needs to see a doctor. It isn't good, nor safe to try to diagnose and treat it yourselves. Metronidazole might not be the right medication to treat his problem. If he goes to the ER, they cannot demand the copay upfront, they have to see him and send him a bill, at a later time. Rather than put his life at risk, that would be the best thing to do, if you don't have a regular doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?
