I have been prescribed ramipril 5, telmisartan 40, losartan sodium 50 at different occasions for blood pressure. I want to know is there any harm in changing the medicines from time to time. Or one should stick to one medicine for BP. Please let me have your suggestion in this regard. Please note that alongwith this BP Medicine I have been taking Glibenclamide5mg+Metformin 500 mg (for diabetic) ## Hello, Kaaliya! How are you? You should take whichever medication your doctor has prescribed, unless they tell you to change it or to stop taking it. I took 125 mg of meteripol for my blood pressure ## Hello, Hercules! How are you? Yes, you can overdose if you take too much of any medication. When it's a blood pressure/cardiac medication like this one, it could cause your blood pressure and heart rate to go too low, which may cause dizziness, fainting and possibly death, as listed by the FDA and NIH. How much are you supposed to take? You should be aware that for this to help your blood pressure, you need to take it regularly for a month, taking extra when you have higher blood pressure numbers won't actually do anything to help.
