Is there any form of medicaid in Michigan that will cover office visits and prescriptions for suboxone? ## @hhhbk2469, Looking at the 2014 Preferred Drug List for Michigan's Medicaid Coverage (linked below), I didn't see Suboxone listed on there. However it appears as though Methadone is; in case your doctor recommended that as an alternative. michigan.fhsc.com/PDL_20141220f.pdf Everyone responds to these types of medications differently though, so at the end of the day I just think it's best to do what feels right for yourself, and if that means holding out for Suboxone through some other type of coverage then that may be something to talk with your doctor about to see if he/she can help recommend a different program that does cover the type of med(s) you require. I hope th...

I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Have you tried asking your doctor if they can refer you to someone else? That might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Alternatively, you may want to call Medicaid and see if they have a list of doctors in your area that accept it. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## I have done all that and yes I know I have...

I'm trying to get my prescription for 10mg oxicodone (120 pills) I have amerigroup coverage and I have called every pharmacy and even gone in person to them and all of them have either told me that they don't accept new clients or they don't accept amerigroup insurance. Is there any way someone can give me some kind of clue as to what to do and where to go from here? Please! I take this medication because I have a brain tumour that causes me a great deal of pain and will eventually kill me.

I have been on Tylenol 3 from my rheumatologist for 8 years. Now he says he can't give it to me because of the new regulations. I am home bound without this and in severe pain. Pointless to go to the hospital because they don't care about pain.

If you use it for even three months it is almost impossible to get off of. 2 weeks after stopping a 12.5 mg I was in the Emergecy Room with withdrawals. The nausea is horrible and can continue for many months.

Are there any medicaid mma plans that covers suboxone ## Hi Chris, According to the link below, Medicaid coverage for medication like Suboxone is said to vary "considerably" by State. See FAQ #4 on the following patient list: buprenorphine.samhsa.gov/faq.html You didn't mention what State you were in, but Florida is the only State's program I'm seeing information on when I type in MMA, so just wanted to double check that. Looking online at Florida Medicaid's drug formulary, the closest thing I found to Suboxone (Buprenorphine + Naloxone) was a combination of Pentazocine + Naloxone. It may also be a good idea to contact your local Medicaid office (human resource department) for more specific details involving coverage and whether or not they allow any exceptions t...

Does anyone know a subutex doctor that takes insurance in south florida? ## Hello, Tara! How are you? Congratulations! Im goin to pain management but its too high I need one who takes medicaid ## Louisiana Medicaid will not pay for Pain Management of chronic pain. ## Did u find one or are u still having to pay a bunch for your old dr? Who is/was your old dr. ? Have u heard any good things about other dr.'s in the city? Message me homey. Thanks man. ## Hello, Sherry! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, PCPs cannot prescribe narcotic opiates for pain management. Your only option for that is to see a specialist. I wish I had better news for you, since I know it is very expensive, but that is the way things currently stand in the U.S. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I heard from a friend that Louisiana Medicaid is putting a limit on the amount of time it will pay/cover Suboxone prescriptions. I would like to know if this is true. ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? Are there any FL Medicaid managed care groups that cover Buprenorphine, either for addiction or chronic pain? After becoming disabled, I can not work, depend on SSI, to survive, but end up spending 70% of that supplement, meant to cover living expenses, on out of network office visits and Rx. Unfortunately, thanks to the rx drug abusers and greedy (dr's) pill mills that once operated like candy stores, the only opioid available, legally in FL is Bup. Thank God I don't have cancer pain, but I do have multiple conditions that cause intolerable pain. I recently went to the ER with a kidney stone and had to pass it with Motrin! Anyone else in my situation? I realize other states do pay for Bup., but one can not up and move when broke. Believe me, if there was a way, I'd pack up wha
