Hello. I am 22F. I am not getting my motion even after 4 days. I am taking medications for my back pain(cervical).plz tell me what to do??? ## What medications are you taking? According to NIH reports, many of them can cause this as a side effect, but I can't really answer, without more specifics. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! Have you tried increasing your fiber intake?

I have been taking 5mg Norvace and hava loss of appetite. Anyone have this experience ## irrtation above of breast ## Norvasc contains the active ingredient Amlodipine, which is a calcium channel blocker and these medications can cause loss of appetite in some people that take them, though it isn't very common. I've suffered from anorexia in the past and have severe anxiety. After taking the genomind test I can only take a few medications like pristiq. I've lost 6 pounds so far on pristiq during the last 3 months and can't afford to lose anymore. I thought antidepressants were supposed to help give me my appetite back again and not worry about food. Should I ask to switch to something that will make me more hungry? ## Hello, Alyssa! I began taking bentyl 2 weeks ago for ibs. After 2 days I noticed that I haven't had any appetite and I still don't. My appetite was normal until beginning this medication. My pharmacist suggested I stop taking the medication, wait a couple of days to see how my appetite was and then call my doctor with my findings. I just got around to calling him yesterday. I did not tell him I had completely stopped because I thought he would just switch medicines. He told me to cut down to two pills a day and see how that does. How do others deal with a lack of appetite from medication? After Christmas I will let my doctor know I am not taking the medicine and my appetite still hasn't returned. So I've been prescribed 0.5 mg xanax for about 7 months now. I take it almost everyday. Sometimes I take more (0.75- 1 mg) or sometimes I take less (0.25 mg) but most often I will take 0.5 mg. I tend to not be able to eat unless I take it. I don't take it more than once a day if I do. The longest ill go without it is every other day. Its been a while since this started, like I said 7 months. Could I get withdrawal from stopping altogether? The fact that I can't eat without it, is that a withdrawal symptoms? Just started Ozempic for weight loss. In my 4th week and now taking 0.5mg... I don’t really feel any loss of appetite. Does it take a little longer for that to kick in? My father is 69 years old and has been taking Ecosprin 75 mg for about an year. He for about a month is suffering with indigestion, loss of appetite and diarrhea. Started Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim 800/160 twice a day for a staph infection two weeks ago. Stomach pain and nausea started in second week. Apparently these are rare side effects. I stopped it for 24hrs. and symptoms subsided. But I did not want to risk compromising the treatment so I started again. Symptoms returned about ten hrs later. Do I tough it out or can I take something like yogurt to counteract the symptoms? ## Hello, Tony! How are you? I wouldn't say they're rare side effects, many people experience them. I was miserable myself, when I took it. Yes, you can take it with food or a snack to help mitigate them. The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, diarrhea and non-allergic skin rash. Is there anything else I can help with?

Today is day #2 for me on Naltrexone. I’m taking this (50 mg) in order to eliminate my craving for alcohol. I wasn’t sure about side effects, but my Physician told me she didn’t know of any. And I know she has prescribed this for many other of her patients - all with beneficial results. Yesterday, I felt tired after taking it, and basically had no appetite. Hi. I started Ozempic 3 weeks ago. Recently I have become constipated but having diarrhea. (Yes that is possible) I have also had horrible indigestion and a lot of acid sitting in my stomach. I have absolutely no appetite. I am dehydrated. When I drink anything it makes me feel like I ate a 20oz steak and baked potato. And then I feel super nauseous. I have digestive issues as is. I was prescribed this for a period of time and then there was some drug shortage and had to rotate between the numerous generics of Ritalin until it was available, some worked great and others were horrible and since generic focalin was approved under my insurance (TEVA 93 5277 10 mg white round pills) and my insurance has a mail order service and few people are on it so they have a rather abundant supply I switched back. How are you? How tall are you? That also plays a role in how much you should weigh, according to the NIH. As to the loss of appetite, I've experienced that myself and the best advice I can give you on that is to eat, anyway. You may not eat a large, full meal, but eat, anyway, even if it's just small portions. You know you should eat, so you have to make yourself do it. And don't be afraid to have a few small meals throughout the day, you don't actually have to do 2 or 3 large meals to remain healthy.

Maybe Benicar is the problem, so I want to get off 20mgs of Benicar that I'm thinking could be a factor, as it has caused a loss of appetite, cough, and fatigue. I started on 30 mg / the bumped to 50 7 weeks ago and last Fri started on 70 mg. I did not see a huge difference in my weight or appetite about 3 monts ago. It kicked in full force. I had no appetite and my energy level sky rocked. I have went from 176 pounds down to 150. I went from a size 14 down to 8 and sometimes a six I am also on 150 mg of Wellbutrin 3 times per day.
