Why did they stop making 7.5 loritab ## Hello, Ronnie! How are you? It seems there are many misunderstandings about this occurring, but I'm happy to clear this up for you. The medications with the various doses of Hydrocodone, such as 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg are still available, it is just the ones with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen in them that are no longer being manufactured. From now on they will all only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Norco details here. Thus, for you to continue taking it, your doctor has to prescribe a different one with the lower amount of Acetaminophen, I...

Is it possible to get 10/325? I take other prescribed meds and want to know if the 10/325 would be better for stomach upsets. ## Zoie in my opinion the 10/325 is easier on the gut and for sue the liver!! Ive been on 10/650 10/500 now down to 7.5/325 , Just my opinion and they worked just as well whether with or without more acetaminophen. I read they are coming out with zohydro!1 hydrocone-the main ingredient of norco, lotrab, vicodin, but ive heard of this a year ago, so it will be nice to get all the acetominophen that's causing liver damage out!! ## As of now, the ones with the higher doses of Acetaminophen are no longer available in the U.S. They have all been lowered to contain 325mgs per dose. Differences In these two meds ## Hello, Shellie! How are you? Originally, the difference between these brands was the dosage, however, due to the changes which have been made to the amount of Acetaminophen they can use in them, that is no longer true. It is really best to just consider them all to be the same, they contain varying doses of Hydrocodone with 325mgs of Acetaminophen, though there are rare cases where the Acetaminophen may be lower. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. pink oval 12.5 pill ## pink loritab picture ## There are no 12.5mg Lortabs, the maximum dosage of Hydrocodone in these is 10mgs. I also cannot post a picture due to copyright reasons, however, if you can post back with the imprint from the tablet, I will gladly look it up for you to see what is in it.

Loratab, white pill with M363 on front ## i woold like to see the pills to make sure they are the right ones. ## Sorry, due to copyright reasons, I cannot post the pictures, however I can tell you that imprints on prescription drugs in the US are unique. A pill marked M363 should be a white oval/caplet shape with a score line on the opposite side. It contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone, a generic for Lortab. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I can't find my prescription anywhere due to the new law , I was sounder ehat I could take instead of my hydrocodone/acetaminophen.. ## Hi Anthony, Sorry to hear about your situation. However, there are a number of different options on the market if you were to look for an alternative pain medication to Lortab (hydrocodone + acetaminophen); even if you were to just opt for another brand name or generic of the same medication. But just to name a few that you could ask your doctor about, there are: Percocet (oxycodone + acetaminophen) Percodan/Endodan (oxycodone + aspirin) Norco (hydrocodone + acetaminophen) Vicoprofen/Reprexain/Ibudone (hydrocodone + ibuprofen) Please also note that changing medications may not necessarily make it any easier to fill, especially if they are of the sam...

Are the Watson 540 blue loritab 10 stronger than pink loritab10 ## From what I could gather, both of the pills in question are one in the same drug. The only difference I noticed is that they are manufactured by different companies. Because of this, there may be a slight variation of inactive ingredients; but other than that you can be assured that they are the same drug and same dosage. If this applies to you: Generic medications are allowed to contain 20% more or less of the actual active ingredients. This factor, along with different inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) could enable you to have a completely different reaction to each medication. Did you notice any more relief from the Watson's?

I have been taking for 60 days and the first presciption from walmart did not help but the second refill is too strong and i cut them in half please explain why they are so different they both say m357 mallinckro ## This has been reported many times with the tablets manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. I can't say with any certainty, but it appears that they may have quality control issues. Have you tried using a different pharmacy, or perhaps asking at Wal-Mart if they can get tablets from a different manufacturer?

Prescribed four times day..10 ml..is that too much ## Did you ask the prescribing doctor, or pharmacist? How often is the dosing schedule? It does contain a narcotic, Hydrocodone, so you do have to be cautious using it in children and really have to base it on various factors, such as why it's prescribed, the severity of the condition, their body weight and etc.

The magnesium sterate is it plant based or pork ? ## Where can I find Hydroocodone made by Watson in Atlanta GA. Is Watson still manufacturing them since they lowered the Tylenol dosage? ## @Peggy, Based on my research, Watson doesn't appear to list these types of details on their webpage. However, what I am finding is that most drug manufacturers who do use Magnesium stearate as a filler in their tablets, also derive/source it from beef. If you have any reservations about this, it may be best to talk with your doctor or pharmacist about any allergies you might have to certain types of animal products. This way problems like that can be avoided in subsequent prescriptions. For additional product information you can also reach the manufacturer directly at: +1 (800) 272-5525 @Rebecca,...

I was just wondering if anyone knows what the blue specs in my loritabs are? I just want to know what i am ingesting. ## They are really nothing, there is nothing that requires there to be blue specks in the tablets, it is just something the manufacturer has chosen to do to differentiate their tablets from the others on the market. It is a type of coloring agent that is considered an inactive ingredient by the FDA. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was told that Watson is discontinuing the light blue oval 10mg loritabs? Liver damages was the reason given? ## Currently, removing many doses of Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, is something that's being taken under consideration, because of the liver damage that the Acetaminophen can cause. They want to make it so that only a few are available, to better restrict how much Acetaminophen someone can take in a day, when they are on this. Learn more Vicodin details here. Is there anything else I can help with?

With new laws passed can a dr now wright a script for pain med instead of going to a pain dr ## Hello, John! How are you? Yes, they can still write them, but most prefer not to do so. It is felt that by having people see a pain management specialist, it will help curb improper prescribing and over prescribing. If a PCP prescribes something like this, it will most likely be scrutinized and they will have to have very good reason for doing so. Exceptions are made, however, for people that suffer possibly terminal conditions that cause intractable pain, such as stage 4 cancer. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
