Does anyone take Lamictal and Adderall? and if so, have you had any side effects from taking the two together? Or does anyone take Lamictal and any other stimulant to help treat ADD?ADHD? ## Hello, Carolyn! How are you? I didn't find any interactions listed between these medications, but it would be up to your doctor to really say whether or not it is safe for you to mix them. Stimulants like Adderall can cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with?

It caused me to not sleep and become irrationnally angry. Helped my mood up though. I am not that angry of a person naturally so it was a schocker. ## Hello, Nickoly! How are you? Change in personality like that is actually fairly common with anticonvulsants, it happened to my fiancé with the first one he tried a couple years ago. It usually means you can no longer take that one and need to switch to a different one. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon I am doing better I got off Lamictal 3 months ago. Taking Latuda and intially had a great response on the Latuda. Much more energy better mood. Now I have been having trouble sleeping only 3 hours at a time. I am...

HAs anyone had experience with Lamictal causing mania? It definetely did for me. Landed me in the hospital for 6 days and took a full month to subside. Thanks, Pati ## want pictures ## images ## To Pati..YES, I have had trouble titrating dosage up to as little as 50 mg. each time, within 3 days, I was "wild". I have been on it for 3 months at 25 mg/day and can't stand it anymore. I am feeling that anger and uncontorollable impulses again. and no sleep. I am stopping this tonight and pray that I find a doctor who actually understands the anxiety part and bipolar people need sleep, desperately. ## To Pati I have just quit for the very same reasons but had hallucinations to add to the mix. I was only on it for Epilepsy and have just come off 100mg cold turkey as couldn't ta...

Hey all - I've been on Lamictal for about 8 months (bipolar) and I titrated up to 200mg, except during the jump from 150-200mg I quit smoking cigarettes and marijuana at almost precisely the same time I upped the Lamictal dose. I read in some medical literature that nicotine suppresses the effectiveness of Lamictal, and I can only speculate about the marijuana/Lamictal relationship. So there I was thinking that I was taking 150mg, but while smoking, my body probably wasn't absorbing/utilizing that much (quantitative difference? not sure). From the dose jump, 150-200mg, I noticed a vast increase in the substantiality of side effects that Lamictal proposed upon me from the get-go. Light headedness, word-finding problems, difficultly reading/spelling, handwriting and math out the w...

I have been on Lamictal 50 mg and have recently gone up to 150 mg a day. I have been experiencing numbness, tingling, and loss of strength in my left arm and left leg only. Has any one else had similar side effects? ## You don't say why doctor prescribed Lamictal. I'm on 100 mg for hemiplegic migraines. Left side is weak and right side is numb. Symptoms are not from the medication but rather the type of headache. You need to talk with your physician to see if there is another ## I recently started Lamictal for Bi-polar. I'm up to 100mg(?). With Lexapro, and today started Vistaril too. I too have experienced that left hand /arm numbness feeling. Sometimes my feet get tingley up to below my knees at night when I'm lying in bed. Hi, I am taking Lamictal, 150 mg, for years and years, along with an antidepressant - at the moment Lexapro - and for anxiety I take 1.5 mg of Klonopin. My diagnosis is dysthymia - constant low level depression - and I am struggling with it for years and it doesn't go away. I was my happiest on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds only. That's why I'm planning on asking my shrink to stop the Lamictal. Have any of you experienced withdrawal symptoms and how do they manifest? Thank you! ## You will most likely have to taper off it, due to the fact that while it does help some people with mental health problems, it is actually an anticonvulsant, so stopping it abruptly could put you at risk of experiencing seizures, according to FDA warnings. Other withdrawals effects may incl...

Hi there, I'm on lymecylcine at the moment, with isotrex gel at night - someone has recommended accumax supplements to me - is it ok to take the two together? ## Hello, Elliej88! How are you? Is your doctor aware that you're taking Lymecycline while using the Isotrex? Those are actually contraindicated and using them both together could be very dangerous, it risks pseudotumor cerebri, as warned about by the FDA. Before adding anything else, I think you need to have this checked out to avoid putting yourself in danger. Have you been suffering any headaches or vision loss?

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. ## What is a white oblong pill marked "Luchem 5" and what is it used for?

white ## I am sorry, could you please either double check the name/spelling of the medication or post back with the imprint on the tablet itself, so I can identify it and provide you with information? Your description does not provide enough information since the size, shape and color of a medication means nothing. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have a unique imprint on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. However, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there are many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that meet that description.

Does this drug help treat epileptic seizures? ## Yes, Lacosamide is indicated for the treatment of seizures. " Why is this medication prescribed? Lacosamide is used to control partial onset seizures (seizures that involve only one part of the brain) in adults and children 4 years of age and older. Lacosamide is also used in combination with other medications to control primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (formerly known as a grand mal seizure; seizure that involves the entire body) in adults and children 4 years of age and older. Lacosamide is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by decreasing abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
