For the past year I have been suffering from intense vaginal itching. I have tried monistat and other medications, but nothing is helping. Hello! I was prescribed Nitrofurantoin for a UTI and I’m on my third day of taking it. My UTI symptoms seem to be gone however I’ve developed some pretty instense vaginal itching. Is the itching related to the antibiotic or did I get super lucky and develop a yeast infection or something? No discharge or rash just itching. If the itching IS a side effect of the antibiotic should I call my doctor to discontinue it or is it not a huge deal as long as I can handle it? My vagina has been itching me so badly and i have also been discharging. I think it's an infection. How do i treat it? ## Is the discharge whitish? Does it look like cottage cheese? If so, you may have a vaginal yeast infection and you will need an antifungal medication to treat it. Have you consulted your doctor? It would be best to have it checked out to be sure what is causing your problem, so you can get the best and safest remedy. I'm nearly 5 years in from my breast cancer diagnosis... I was 34 I'm now 39 and at the end of October it will be 5 years clear! Hello I was prescribed augmentin for an ear infection and im almost done with them but recently within the last few days ive noticed my vaginal area is super itchy. Its driving me nuts but I dont have much discharge (if any besides my usual) so I dont think its a yeast infection. My aunt, age 95, recently began taking Toviaz, along with Premarin cream, due to chronic incontinence. These meds helped her greatly, but now she has intense itching in the genital area and also her back. I have taken Premarin and believe it must be due to the Toviaz.
