Is Percocet Better On Your Body Than Hydrocodone

Im wondering why I would be able to take darvacett & percocetts but I cant take vicodin. Arent theese medications all the same? Would the fact that I have a codeine allergy make a difference? I have a damaged SI joint in my back from a car accident 12 years ago and also have fibromyalgia. I've recently noticed something and I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out. I've taken hydrocodone mainly for pain, usually 7.5 mg, but sometimes 10 mg. They make the pain tolerable but never seem to last long. I recently tried Watson 749, which I'd never heard of before, but they are percocet 5 mg. Both these and the hydrocodones I've taken had 325 mg acetaminophen in them. These 749 are awesome! They work faster, better and last longer! I understand that percocet is a stronger med than hydrocodone but a ten mg hydrocodone should be stronger than the 749, so why does this 749 work so much better? I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 for chronic pain, 1 pill every 6 hours. My Dr. just prescribed Oxycodone 5/325 with up to 2 pills every 6 hours. Which is stronger? ## The oxy is stronger but who knows your body may b used 2 the vicoden. But if he is allowing u 2 take 2 @ a time it would b better if he would just give u the percocet 10/325 as it would b as effective with 1/2 the amount of aspirin. Try it out n post your feedback. ## Scott is correct, the Oxycodone is actually stronger than the Hydrocodone. To equal 10mgs of the Hydrocodone, you only need 6.67mgs of the Oxycodone, so I'd advise caution when you first take them, you probably shouldn't take 2 of them, until you try one and see how well it works for you. Hi, I was taking 40-100 mg of Percocet a day- I weaned off and took about 10-40 mg of hydrocodone a day. I was feeling sick and got 10 mg methadone pills. I took 20 mg the first night-I did get a euphoric feeling and woke up with a terrible headache. I took 15 mg of methadone last night to continue taper going down to 1 10 mg of methadone tonight and 5 mg tomorrow, and hoping I won't feel withdrawal but my head hurts so bad-it feels as if it is going to combust. Is the T133 imprint indicative of a real pain pill? I just got it prescribed and want to know before I put it in my body. I was on 7.5-325 Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen.
