Hello I've been on high does opiates for injuries due to a terrible auto accident for 16 yrs to date. My doctor at my request prescribed my contrave. How long do I need to be off opiates before starting the contrave? I know people can take suboxone almost immediately. With the bupropion in contrave does it help stop pain from withdrawal effects of the opiates? ## You need to be in full withdrawal from the opiates, before you can take this, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. Taking it too soon could cause you to go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The same is true of Suboxone, it cannot be taken immediately. Bupropion is an antidepressant, not an analgesic, so no. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Contrave as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, d...

all of the opiates are secretly being reduced. in drugs that are combined with aspirin Tylenol such as lortab the 7.5mg is no longer made, with doctors not even knowing this. it is the 5mg that is the strongest. the tylanol is not reduced. people in chronic severe pain will not get the relief they are expecting and take more not realizing the toxic effect Tylenol has on the liver. they are also reducing the amount of opiates a dr. can prescribe a month. when the unwinnable war on drugs turns torture and possible liver death we the people need to stand up and scream for the people in to much agony to fight. only 10% of people are junkies, which includes alcoholics.they are born with a chemical imbalance that drives them to abuse whatever substance or behavior. we need to take back our mon...

Today is Sunday a I have been taking 1/3 of an 8/mg strip everyday for about 12 days. I have surgery on wed., I'm also Being put to sleep. My question is after I take a third Sunday if I stop completely will I be ok on wed for the surgery and pain mess after ## Hello, Jesse! How are you? There is a chance that the Naloxone in the Suboxone could cause problems with the anesthesia and prevent pain medications from working, after surgery. So, it's very important that you tell the surgeon you're taking it and see how far off from surgery they want you to stop taking it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, d...

But doctor wants to taper me off of gaba b4 i finished methadone. I dont know why he is doing this but i did get clonodines .1 mg once a day at night from him since i hav to hurry up with methadone now cause actually i had to increase gaba for it to continue working and now i have even less gaba. So my question is how long does it take for clonodines to work and is only once a day enough? ## Clonidine usually tends to have some effect shortly after taking it, generally within 20 to 30 minutes, so some people do take it on an as needed basis, rather than taking it all the time. A user was using for months, tried quitting cold turkey with violent, terrible, horrible withdrawal symptoms that finally tapered off, but left with depression. So user went back to using, tried quitting again but this time administered small doses to ward off the withdrawal symptoms, which worked wonderfully. My husband 6ft 279 pounds was left at the hospital labeled as JOHN DOE. As a result my husband died. The coroner office said the cause of death was Opiate Toxicity of Opiates. Which was morphine and codeine. Per the report it was 14.3ng/ML of morphine (Free) and less than 5ng/ML of codeine. I just don't understand how a person this size dies from morphine and codeine. From the information I have gathered this is not really a lot of meds compared to his size. The way my husband's death took place, nothing is adding up.
