You may also want to consider taking a probiotic while on the antibiotic, to reinstate good bacteria in your body. Have you had negative reactions wi...

I don't even know where to start. I have sores all over my legs and arms that have gotten infected. Behind my right ear I drained a big cyst and a smaller cyst (which at the time I thought was a pimple), my gums have infection coming out and I had either one huge everywhere or a couple cysts in my vagina that have drained. Some of the sores have healed and others have gotten worse. The skin by the corners of my nails where they are dried and cracked are starting to release infection. Dr gave me Bactrim without a visit. I'm scared it is something worse than he believes it to be. ## Hello, Jamie! How are you? Has there been any change? I would like to know if Zoxan 500 is used to treat blood infection. If so, for what level of infgection it is used. Mild, average or serious? ## Ciprofloxacin is reported to be the active ingredient in Zoxan. Ciprofloxacin is used to treat a number of infections including: infections of bones and joints, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, malignant otitis externa, respiratory tract infections, cellulitis, urinary tract infections, prostatitis, anthrax, chancroid, among others. The term "among others" is very vague, so I think it best to contact your doctor to confirm its use for blood infection. I personally couldn't find any info relating it to that treatment, but your local doctor or pharmacy should be able to clarify that for you.

I have cough and runny nose sneezing..an groggy feeling..I am coughing up an blowing green yellowish mucus..wanted to know if penicillin vk is good for infection? ## Hello, Patrick! How are you? I'm sorry that you're ill. Yes, it is an antibiotic that can be used to treat many types of bacterial infections. However, you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor has verified the presence of an infection and prescribed it for you. It might not be the right antibiotic to treat your infection, or you may not have enough to fully eradicate the infection and both scenarios create the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?
