The amount in most over the counter tablets, such as Advil or Motrin is 200mg and people can take 2 of them at a time, if needed, for pain. Yesterday I bought this brand of ibuprofen, On my 2nd dose of two 200mg it's happening again! I have uneasy feeling, dry mouth , as well as a heartburn , sour stomach. I was given the kids liquid form of amoxicillin but please answer for pill form as well. Is it safe to take 1-2 (200mg) of ibuprofen while using the liquid or pill firm amoxicillin?? Alternating the two, say by taking Tylenol in the morning, then Ibuprofen 8 hours later can sometimes result in better pain relief, because it can help reduce swelling more significantly that just taking one or the other, but it will not be anywhere close to Morphine and doubling up on them, at the same time, could be dangerous, due to the toxic effects they may have on the liver. I had a script written in mexico after i had my wisdom tooth pulled, I can't figure out what was in it besides 200mg of ibuprofen but there was 325mg of another drug. The pill was white and oblong with 'S1' on one side of the pill the other blank. It was perscribed to take one every 8 to 12 hours for pain. Yes im just wondering if Ibuprofen will do much good for my arthritis in my legs. My knees swell a lot an it hurts bad. My doctor recommended Tylenol 3 with codeen which im highly allergic to. Is it safe to take 20mg baclofen, 800mg ibuprofen and 200mg gabapentin at the same time? I've been taking it for muscle spasms and sciatica. ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no drug interactions listed between Ibuprofen, Gabapentin and Baclofen. This doesn't necessarily mean that no interactions exist, so I would still encourage you to discuss this with your doctor first. However, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to take them together based upon my own investigation - Especially if these are all prescribed to you. I hope this helps!

I have had chronic pain throughout my body for years that may or may not be associated with fibromyalgia and/or arthritis. Regular 200mg OCT ibuprofen doesn't work, even when up to 1000mg is taken at once. I quite literally found a small bottle of IP465 ibuprofen, and after researching what the pill was, decided out of sheer desperation to see if it would help. It doesn't make the pain go away, but does help some...oddly enough, more than the OTC ibuprofen....and that doesn't make sense. Why would a 600mg pill work better than 5/200mg pills would?
