Hi, i stopped using the oralcon on the 8th of October 2019. I was bleeding for 5 days there after. In November i had my period for two days and in December i had it for 3 days. All three months i was bleeding very little not even to fill a pad but when i urinate and wipe myself there will be a lot of blood on the tissue. In Dec i had my period for three days on the 16th until the 18th and on the 21st of December i had a little blood and discharge on my underwear. Can i be pregnant ## If you have had periods, it is not likely that you are pregnant. Since Oralcon is a hormonal contraceptive, stopping it can cause your body's hormone levels to be off balance, for awhile, which may result in irregular periods, and changed levels of bleeding. It can take a few months for your body to reg...

I wanted to know if I could use oralcon pills and if there's still a chance of me getting pregnant while taking them? I'm asthmatic. Can the pills interfere with my medication? ## Hi, I used oralcon for the1st time in december 29. That was the beginning of my new cycle for only 5 days. It made me sick, then I stopped it. My periods continued till the 12 Jan. Was feeling weak then went to the Dr on the 12 Feb. Pregnancy test was faint positive. Am I really pregnant, or are my periods are still to come since I have menstrual cramps? ## Hi, I have been on the contraceptive pill for 7 years now (Oralcon). I am a very consistent individual where my periods are concerned. I have never missed a period once ever. The only time I did not have a period is when I found out I was pregnant w...

i am 28 yrs. old and i wanna know why i can get pregnant since i stopped taking althea for almost 2 years. ## Hi fiona, Sorry to hear about your complications with pregnancy. I don't know whether contraceptive pills like this have any long term effects that people just aren't aware of in relation to getting pregnant. But from what I understand, infertility is not uncommon. Millions of women face it in today's society. However most cases seem to stem from hormonal imbalances or ovulation problems. It sounds to me like your best bet would be to check in with a knowledgeable gynecologist or doctor who can offer more advice through an in-person consultation. After understanding the cause of the infertility, treatment options may just require a simple hormonal adjustment to get y...

I just finished my first pack of Althea and im taking this because i have PCOS will this regulate my mens after taking it for only a month? Is there a posibility that i will get pregnant if i stopped it now? I want to get pregnant so bad but i dont know if this will regulate my mens immediately , when will i ovulate? any experiences here? thank you ## No, it usually takes a couple months for it to help regulate things. The NIH Lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, irregular bleeding, mood changes, and weight changes. Once you stop taking it, it usually takes about 3 months for you to be able to ovulate and become pregnant. Are you on any other medications?

I started my new pack and only took three pills. Because I missed so many I just decided to stop it all together. Trying to get pregnant. Now I've been off for about two weeks. I'm ovulating this week. Now I am having cramps and very light spotting. Am I going to start my period early because I stopped taking it on day three? ## Hello, Heather! How are you doing? Has anything changed? Yes, that can occur, since this is a hormonal contraceptive, as classified by the FDA. The cramping can also be a withdrawal effect, you may also experience headache and other PMS-like symptoms. In a few weeks, however, things should return to normal, if not, then please consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Looks like I started my menstralcycle early. It's very lights...

Well, I was on this pill since May 1st, 2013 (had only 2 periods) and stopped taking it November 9th cause we are trying to have a baby. Actually we were planning to have our baby by the next summer (late August or September). Reading all these things about Lo loestrin fe made me so sad and disappointed, should we really wait more months to become pregnant? Is there any exceptions among you? Please if you have any hopeful comment, I would highly appreciate it! ## Hello, Nikky! How are you? Generally, when stopping an oral contraceptive, such as this, that suppresses ovulation, it can take 2 or 3 months, before your body rebalances your hormones naturally and you actually ovulate, again. It may happen sooner, but there's no way to know for sure, it can vary from woman to woman. Have ...

Hello, I stopped taking my sprintec pregnancy pill on Sat. morning and start my sugar pill on Sunday, but i skipped it so I should still have my period, but I was intimate with my husband 11/10 and I haven't had my period yet. Do you think I can get pregnant? Please help because im suppose to start a new pack of sprintec on Sunday Nov. 15th, 2015 and if I am pregnant I dont want to hurt my baby :( ## Hello, Abby! How are you? No, the placebo pills have no bearing on the efficacy of oral contraceptives, they are only there to allow you to have a period and to keep women in the habit of taking their pills, so they don't forget. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight changes and breakthrough bleeding. Some women...

Okay, I just had a baby on the 14th of june. I had intercourse on july 6th. I did get prescribed metronidazole and got plan b. I took both at the same time. Can I still get pregnant? My stomach hurts and my period has not stopped yet. I also have tenderness in my boobs. Everything im starting to smell I cant stand and I feel tired more often. ## Hello, Marie! How are you? If you're still actively bleeding, you are most likely not pregnant. The nausea, sore boobs and other symptoms could be just from the Plan B, since it does contain a hormone to prevent pregnancy. How long after intercourse did you take it? ## I'm taking dicyclomine 10mg bule capsules. Can i get pregnant while taking this medicine? ## hello i want to know. ## I was having itching during my period so I took metro...

Hi. I was on loestrin fe 1/20 for about 1year and half. Love it. The best control pill ever. But is time for us to have a baby. I just stopped taking it on the last day of my period, (b/c we are now trying to get pregnant) which left one brown pill in the pack. How long will I have to wait before I can get pregnant or can I get pregnant right way(i.e when I ovulate)? I'm also worried because I didn't get my period for about three month before this last one (and spotting on August 20th) on the 17th of September(which was very little. I only needed a liner). And it ended on the 21th which was the day I purposely misses the pill. I'm supposed to ovulate oct 1st. Is not having my period for 3months gonna effect me ovulating in October 1st? Or is it possible we get pregnant. Than...

Hi, I had my Jadelle implants removed in February 18th after having them for 3 years..been trying to get pregnant but no luck yet. I have baby fever and was wondering if its normal to take long to concieve. I have had regular periods too. ## Hi Lyz just wondering if you have had any luck yet with becoming pregnant? I also had the Jadelle removed in Feb since having it in for 5 yrs and have been trying to conceive since. I was on the jab 8 yrs ago, stopped and got pregnant with my son 2 months later. It seems a lot of women are having trouble conceiving after the Jadelle, is this something to be concerned about? ## Yes, it can take several months, after you stop any type of hormonal contraceptive, as reported by the NIH. Usually, women are advised to wait 3 to 4 months, anyway, after sto...

I have been taking 75 mg levothyroxine for about 8 months i KNEW that my bloated stomach (basically look pregnant) and 2 stone weight gain was due to taking these pills i felt fine before i started them. I spoke to my doctor the other day explained to him that i cant cope with these side effects anymore and broke down in tears. I have suffered with depression since beating cancer 2 years ago and all this weight gain and tiredness is just killing me. He said as my levels are back up i can stop it for a week without danger. But ive decided to stop it forever after the hell ive been through with cancer treatment and stem cell transplant im not going to live in pain anymore life is too short. If i do start to get ill i will defo not be taking levo again!! I wll post back on here in a week o...

So I stopped taking Loestrin into my second month because it was making me feel awful. I've been off for 2 weeks and my breasts are still tender and swollen UGH!!! If I were to have gotten pregnant it would've been early September (before I started pill intirally even). I've taken tests, last one being October 16th and was nevative, all were negative. How long til this may stop? ## Hello, Jen! How are you? It may take a month or two, before your hormones balance back out on their own and things return to normal. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience weight changes, irregular bleeding and cramping. What symptoms was it causing?

Hi I've been taking the pill for 4 months and about a week now . I stopped the pill 5 days ago and are bleeding so I was just wondering wen I can get pregnant ## Hello, Blommie! How are you? Unfortunately, I really don't have an answer for you. It can vary from woman to woman, some women manage to get pregnant immediately and some don't, because it may take a few months for their bodies to rebalance their hormones on their own and for ovulation to occur. Have you consulted your doctor?

I was wondering if anyone has heard of beng pregnant on implanon? I've had it in for over a year. It made my periods last longer and heavier. Well I haven't had it for 2 months now (I know it can stop) but the last week I've felt really light headed. I've had really sore boobs and will randomly feel sick to the stomach and certain smells cause it... please give me your advice ## Hi Dallas, To my understanding, it can sometimes take up to a few months to get hormonal contraceptives completely out of your system. So based on your description, it sounds to me like your hormones may have just been fluctuating throughout the time you stopped using the medication (possibly resulting in those side effects). I could be wrong in assuming that, so I would definitely encourage you ...

So I have been on the sprinted pill for months, now I stopped for a month and I started it that Sunday. The next day on Monday I had intercourse. I haven't seen my period for a week. I'm assuming the worst but I read that sometimes when you skip a month and start again it could make your period late. Could this be the case? ## Hello, Revlon! How are you? It could be either. You may be pregnant, or your cycle may just be off, because you took a break from it. How late is your period? The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. ## It is going on a second week it was supposed to be on last week ## And another thing is I finished the birth control pack as well that...

My daughter is 6 months pregnant. She is taking 80 mg of methadone a day through a local clinic while recovering from a H addiction. She also takes clonidine for tourette tics. I have noticed that her tics are worse than ever and realized it may be due to the lamictal. The lamictal is for her anxiety and possible bi polar. She stopped the lamictal cold turkey a few days ago. I am worried about that and the side effects that could cause to her and the baby. I had wanted to talk to the doctor before hand. She is 24 and impossible to communicate with. She recently moved back home (an out and back in and still cussing and fussing-etc)... We put up with the behavior for the baby and our 3 year old granddaughters safety. I also realize my daughter is sick and desperately want to help her. My ...

I have been trying to fall pregnant for 2 years now and i have just started taking trigestral in the hopes that they will help me get pregnant when i stop taking them. this month i missed my period. Should i stop taking them now in my second month or should i continue right through the next month and then stop. ## This medication is actually used to help prevent pregnancy, taking it for a few months and then suddenly stopping will likely throw off your cycle for awhile, and prevent pregnancy, according to NIH reports. Usually, it is taken, under a doctor's direction, for a few months, then stopped and it can take about 3 months for your body to regulate your hormones, again, to see if you can become pregnant. Have you consulted a doctor? Has any testing been done to see why aren...
