My mother gets norco 5 mg for her ms. For some reason when she got them this month they say 44 334. I'm concerned my brother stole the actual medication and replaced it with these pills. Are there such norcos that say this? ## First of all, no there is no Norco, or any other prescription medication with such a marking, the 44 following by 3 additional numbers are over the counter medications manufactured by LNK International and they do not manufacture any prescription products. I believe the marking you are looking at is 44 445 and they list it as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen, which is a generic, or store brand of Tylenol. Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen comes in 3 strengths, Hydrocodone 10/Acetaminophen 325, Hydrocodone 7.5/Acetaminophen 325 and Hydrocodone 5/Acetaminophen 325. ## @Rest, I've never heard of anyone taking 500mgs of Hydrocodone, except throughout the duration of an entire monthly or bi-weekly script (i.e. if you took two 7.5mg tablets [15mg] a day for 33 days, you'd be at 495 mgs)... but for the sake of answering the question at hand, if you were to simply divide 500mg by 1.5mg, it would come out to roughly 333 1.5mg doses - Something that would have to require a patient to divide their 5mg pills into 1/...

My husband's pain management doctor is wanting to switch him to percocet. He is currently taking hydrocodone 10mg 7x/day. Overall it is a stronger medication. According to an Equianalgesic chart, Oxycodone is about 33% stronger than Hydrocodone. So approximately 6.67 mg of Oxycodone is equal in strength to 10 mg of Hydrocodone. My question for you is would you happen to know which version of Percocet he is being prescribed? which is more potent hydrocodone-acetaminophen (5-325) or Acetaminophen/cod 3 (300/30mg)? ## Milligram for milligram, hydrocodone is reported to be significantly more potent than codeine. So even with the difference in milligrams I'm going to have to assume that the generic norco you have may be more potent from what I've read online. While everyone's experience may be different, I have also seen comments from patients who've tried both and feel that "10mgs" of hydrocodone far exceeds the potency of "60mgs" of codeine. Though that may not be as accurate for someone else with a different tolerance, it does go to show that hydrocodone is superior and probably shouldn't ever be substituted for codeine in that sense. watson white pill ## Do you happen to know the shape of this pill imprinted M 337? The closest matches (imprints) I've seen are M 357 and M 367, but no M 337. The M 357 and M 367 are indicative of Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone bitartrate by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. Both are white "oblong" (capsule-shaped) pills with the M3XX imprint on one side and scored on the back. HOW MANY MG OF CODIENE? ## Vicodin actually contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, not Codeine, but it is still a narcotic pain reliever. And on another note, I can't find any record of a pill with this marking, or even something similar, in any of our databases. Was it found/obtained in the U.S.?

White oblong Watson 333 on one side and a line on the other. ## What strenght is this?Watson 333 ## @Edward, The only pill I found with a marking of Watson 333 is a 1mg Lorazepam tablet, prescribed for anxiety disorders. It's also round, not oblong in shape. However there are some pain pills that are white and oblong, including Watson 388 (Hydrocodone 2.5mg + Acetaminophen 500mg) as well as Watson 853 (Hydrocodone bitartrate 10mg + Acetaminophen 325mg). Is there any chance you may have misinterpreted the imprint based on its physical condition? Hope this helps!
