My doctor prescribed it for cough and sinus headache. He said it would help me sleep. However..it doesn't. I'm really tired and it has not helped my headache or to help me sleep. Should I tell my doctor or just hope the antibiotics help fast. He gave me a steroid shot around 11:30 this morning. Could that be what is keeping me up? ## Hello, Sharon! How are you feeling? You should inform your doctor of the issues, but they might feel it best for you to continue and just let the antibiotics do their job.

The smell of Homatropine is so bad my dog coughs from it. Why would it be included in a Hydrocodone syrup for my dog's collapsing heart condition and heart mural valve problem? ## There is a cough syrup, called “Hycodan” that is prescribed for bronchitis, pneumonia and the like for severe coughing.. it’s only two ingredients or hydrocodone and homatropine. One teaspoon is equivalent to one 5mg Vicodin, or more known now as Norco. The difference being is that there’s no acetaminophen in the liquid versus the pill.. I know allot about this because I have C.O.P.D. from childhood asthma.. is there an equivalent in pill form (say vicodin) of hydrocodone and homatropine syrup 5-1.5/5 ## usally when dealing with syrup it basically comes 2.5 to 5mg per 5 ml(which is a teaspoon) tussionex is 10mg but you probably have the so 2 teaspoons would be like taking a 10, for some reason on some of these posts it doesn't show all of it on my monitor... ## Hello, Theo! My doctor prescribed hydromet syrup because I have sinus infection. The bottle says 5 mg hydrocod/ 1.5 mg homa. With a quantity listed of 100. But it states to take 1 teaspoonful 4 to 5 times daily for 5 days. That seems like a lot. So my question is: With every teaspoon am I getting 5 mg hydrocod/ 1.5 mg homa?? or does the 4 teaspoons equal 5 mg hydrocod/ 1.5 mg homa total daily?? ## Hello, Simple Dude! How are you?
