Hydrocodon Acetamine
I have some 12 year old Hydrocodon Acetamine. Is it still effective. I am sure my doctor will represcribe it for another regimen, but if I can save money I would like to use the old stuff. ## No, that's far too old, it would have lost effectiveness after 3 years, if it were still in the originally factory sealed container. Once in the pharmacy bottle, which exposes it to heat, light and moisture, it starts to lose effectiveness after one year. So, please see your doctor for a new prescription. Are there any other questions or comments? ...

I was prescribed hydrocodone-acetaminoph 10-500 when I pulled my back and was in pain. Is it safe to take with my: type 1 diabeyes; kidney transplant; 2 heart stents; and permanent valley fever? ## Was it prescribed by a doctor that is aware of these medical conditions and any other medications that you are taking? There are some concerns about the Acetaminophen having an effect on the kidneys, so you really do need to consult a doctor about this and whether or not it is safe for you to take. It can also have some blood thinning properties, so there may be some issues to be concerned about there, depending on what other medications yo are taking for you heart. ...

I was taking hydrocodon-acetaminophen 10-325's manufacturer mallinkrt which worked effectively. My doctor, against my wishes, switched me to hydrocodon-acetaminophen 5-325's. After 3 days, I experienced hypersensitivity, sleeplessness, extreme anger and became totally out of control. How do I approach my doctor, without offending him, since he is doing my knee replacement, to switch me back to the original script of 10-325's? ## The best thing you can do is to be honest with him and tell him of the problems you had. When a dosage is abruptly lowered like that, you experience both withdrawals and rebound effects and he should be aware of that. Learn more Vicodin details here. Hydrocodone / acetaminophen
Hi everyone... To the point - I have arthritis due to many years of rough living (motorcycle accident -2- and bull riding and as such have had multiple broken bones... Long story short; I've been on Norcos for roughly 6 years and am worried about the constant daily intake of acetaminophen and what it may potentially be doing to my liver... My current dose is 1-Norco when I wake / 1 or 2 at lunch / then another 1 or 2 again at bedtime... I've been prescribed Oxycontin but could not get along with it at all - it made me incredibly tired and itchy... So, would a drug such as opana be a viable option for someone like me? My Md assures me I'm okay at my current level of acetaminophen but I worry... Does anyone have any experience with a switch such as the one I propose? ## Yes, a... ...

hydrocodone acetaminophen 7.5 325
My doctor changed my medication from Lortab 7.5 500 to Norco 7.5 325, but now i'm super sleepy for about 2 hours now. Any answers ? ## It might be a slight withdrawal effect, due to the lower amount of Acetaminophen, because it potentiates the Hydrocodone. It usually takes about a week or so, for your body to adjust. However, if it continues past that, or worsens, you should consult your doctor. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Its been about 1 1/2 months, but I just found out. The lower the apap the higher Hydrocodone, that's what's make me sleepy now. If you take 1 tylenol with it - it reduces the... ...

Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 7.5-500
I am taking the above medication and am having a severe pain in the back of my head. Like a shock. Any ideas if this is something serious? Im also taking amoxicillian with it. It of course was prescribed. ## Have you ever taken it before? Or even just the Acetaminophen by itself? While many people take it for headaches, it does cause them in some people, rather than relieving them. However, it is odd and I'd suggest talking to your doctor about it, to be on the safe side. Learn more Lortab details here. Other side effects it can cause may include nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. The Amoxicillin is an antibiotic and may also cause side effects, such as dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Learn more Amoxicillin details here. ## I have taken it before. I AM VERY ALLERGIC TO NORCO AND THE BOTTLE READS MFG WATSON AND THE PILL IS WHITE OVAL WITH SCORE ACROSS CENTER ON ONE SIDE AND WATSON 3203 ON THE OTHER. IS THIS THE TRUE LORTAB? I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH PLAIN OLD LORTAB SO HOPE THIS IS NOT A GENERIC. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. ## WATSON 3203 contains Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen are both in Lortab. Lortab is the Brand Name. ## Yes, the ones with the WATSON 3203 marking on them are a generic, just as BL has stated. The name brand Lortab uses the ucb logo on them, with numbers on the opposite sides. Learn more Lortab details here. But these are the same ingredients that are in Norco, so if you're allergic to one, you should also be allergic to Lortab, Vicodin and the generics. What typ... ...
