It's been proven scientifically and medically that some people are born with a genetic predisposition to have addictive tendencies. Learn more Suboxone details here. They can fight it, of course, if they are aware that they are prone to it, or know that it tends to run in their immediate family, but it is never easy. Almost anything they take, even substances that aren't known to be addictive and habit forming, may cause problems for these types... ...

suboxone strips vs pills
Maybe im crazy but i don't like the strips, i just don't feel they work as well as the pills. I never ran short with the pills, but the strips i seem to take more. Anyone else feel this way? My dr said she'll only prescribe the strips and it's all in my head. ## Hello, Terisita! How are you? You're not the only one that has said this, it just seems that different formulations work better for different people. However, if you stuck with the strips at the amount you're supposed to take, then your body would likely adjust after a week or so. The only other suggestion I can make if you're not happy is that you try to find a different doctor. Does anyone else have any suggestions? ## Hi, I,m the other way around. I like the strips better then the pills I agree wit... ...

suboxone strips therapeutic levels
What are considered therapeutic levels for driving under the influence? My boyfriend is prescribed 16mg a day but only take a total of 2 mg -4 mg daily because he just wants to feel Normal and doesn't want to b fully dependant on it. ## Hi Tammy, How long has your boyfriend been on Suboxone for? Based on what I've read, Suboxone shouldn't impair your driving ability at all once you're used to its effects. Apparently though, they can still charge him with a DUI if for any reason he were to get himself pulled over. So as long as he's responsible about it, he may be fine with the amount he's choosing to take now. However, only through trial and error will he truly know what dosage allows him to be fully functional and without impaired judgment. I hope this helps! ...

Does anyone feel the suboxone strips suck???
I started using the strips of suboxone a few months back.. But I find they don't hold me over as long as the pills did. ( I take the strips because I have a free co pay from the company) Especially when you have to split one in half. So the do to put me up back to 2 and 1/2 instead of 1 and 1/2.. Just incase so my new doctors says anyways.. Since he put my dose up instead of it being 45 a month now it's 75 a month.. But I got every two weeks now, my last fill was 1/15/14 and because it's a new doctor I had to go 2/4/14 how soon can I fill this new script?? ## " So the do to put me up back to 2 and 1/2 instead of 1 and 1/2.." So confusing? "Since he put my dose up instead of it being 45 a month now it's 75 a month" Wow! Their is really no benefit to this. ... ...

suboxone taper
trying to detox from subone have been on 8mgs a day for 15 months need help please thank you. ## Hi confused, I hope I don,t confuse you more but heres what I did when I got down to 8mgs. By the way, it was my sub. drs. taper plan. For 2 weeks I alternated, day 1 8mgs. day2, 4mgs. day3, 8mgs.day4, back to 4mgs. This averages out to 6mgs. I kept this routine up for 2weeks then tapered to 4mgs. From the 4mgs I tapered 1mg. per week. After the last week on 1mg. I stopped completely. I was taking the strips and when I got down to 4mgs. sub dr. prescribed the 2mg strips just because it was easier to cut. Tapering this way was a walk in the park. No wds. bettween tapers. Last week on 1mg I woke up couple times thruout night but went right back to sleep. No problems after that. Been off subs s... ...

how much suboxone to reach ceiling effect
Want to know how many 8mg suboxone strips it takes to reach the 'ceiling effect' which docs say is equivalent to 30mg of methadone? ## Sub dr. told me 32mg or 4 of the 8/2 strips. In my opinion thats way too much sub for anyone to be on anyways. ## I never felt suboxone, whether I took 1 or 4, subutex ceiling affect for me was 4 or 32 mg... ## Hey christian777, Your not suppose to feel suboxone. It doesn't make you high. You might feel something very slightly at first but that goes away quickly and you just feel normal. Ceiling effect just means that after so many mgs the drug just can,t do anymore for you. Thats why when someone needs more than lets say 30mgs of methadone to "feel right " suboxone may not be the best choice for them. Methadone has no ceiling effect ... ...

Suboxone Advice
I read almost all your posts. I think I'm way off here probably just a little off in the head. I've been on vicoden and oxy's since 2003. 98% of the time I was buying the crap off the street. The other 2% I would intentionally hurt myself to get a script, pathetic I know. I took a leap of faith and stopped. Went to a Methadone clinic and regretted it ever since. Missed important life moments and lost all my friends. I was on that crap for 4 years and stopped after weening down to nothing. I was clean for over 6 months before cravings got the better of me and I started stealing family members suboxones strips. Now that member is stopping, I'm going nuts. Depressed and constantly thinking suicidal thoughts. I'm 26years old and I'm getting to thinking I need suboxon... ...

Ran out of suboxone
I have stupidly run out of my suboxone. i have been on 3 strips a day for over a year and somehow this month i have run out. I really think my brother stole them, but that is another story. I cannot get a refill for 8 days and have only taken 1 a day for the last three days. i am down to a half of a strip and already i feel shaky, no appetite, no mental focus, tired (like a truck ran over me), and ache bad all over. I have fibromyalgia real bad and TMJ and some other things. My pain is kicking in and I don't know what to do. I don't think I can last 8 more days. I have to work and have a 2 year old, 3 year old and 4 year old to chase and take care of. What can I do to get through the withdrawal for the next 8 days? ## hi, i have been on suboxone and methadone and withdrawals arn... ...

Suboxone Extra Dose
I have been taking Suboxone for a little over 2 weeks now. I have been addicted to every kind of opiate for about 15 years.. Recently became addicted to morphine taking about 150 mg a day.. Decided I was sick of being sick and wanted to change before my 30th birthday. My Question is... I am prescribed three 8 mg strips a day and now into my 3rd week am having thoughts if wanting to abuse it. At first it was like it was gonna change my life.. I felt great!! Now I'm having feeling of wanting to get high again. Is my dose not enough? Or can I take two 8 mg strips at once?... I feel like taking it every 6 hours but my doc says take it every 8. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ## When it comes to dosing, I'd honestly recommend discussing this type of question wi... ...

round white pill with 155 and a on other side is it better then suboxone strips
Are the generic round white pill with #155 on and a d on other side better or stronger than the suboxone strips sublingual ## Hello, Tribes! How are you? What dosage of sublingual strips are relevant? It's difficult to provide an answer, without knowing the basis for comparison. Can you pleas post back with more details? Thanks! ## The pill #155 is soooooooo muchhhh weaker than the suboxone strips! An 8mg suboxone strip compares to one #155 pill in the generic form. My insurance switched and now they are giving me the generics and they taste sooo gross take 10 minutes to dissolve and for what?! I can't even tell I took anything. Ive been on and off of suboxone for years and this generic s*** is gunna put me off .i refuse to take it everyday! In short...name brand will always be ... ...

Saboxin strips
What is the difference in taking the Saboxin strips as opposed to taking the pill? ## The reasons for choosing film over tablets can be different for each person, however from what I could gather, several patients said the film dissolved much faster and felt that they got better absorption or bioavailability with the film for that reason. If you have to take the medication several times per day (including while at work), then the disposable film packaging may not be as discrete as you'd like. You might have to be creative with the package disposal, so no one at work will see a discarded pouch and discover you're on Suboxone, if that is even a concern for you. Also some patients note that the films tasted better than the tablets. On the downside, "some" patients report th... ...

suboxone prescription info
I recently got my estranged ex to a dr. For suboxone treatment. I heard rumors she may not have done the right thing. Do prescription of fifteen suboxone strips come in a bottle? ## Dear Butch, yes, suboxone strips can come in a bottle. If it's a smaller amount like (15) they will put them in a bottle. If it's an amount higher like. (30) they will come in a box. The boxes hold (30) so, if she is prescribed a smaller amount, they divide it down. I'm on (3) 24 mg. a day , so, they give me the boxes of (30). Sometimes they run low and give me a partial. And, I'll get those in a bottle. If u have anymore. ??? I will try. 2 answer. ## Hi Butch, A pharmacy may dispatch the suboxone film strips in a regular prescription childproof pill bottle or they may use one of those little... ...

Generic Suboxone Sl 8 Mg Price
what is the price on the new generic suboxone sl 8 mg /2 mg per tablet? As I don't have insurance & have to buy them separate or a few at a time. ## This website does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. That said, the price will vary from area to area, from pharmacy to pharmacy and according to how many you are buying. In most cases it is cheaper to buy a month's worth, as the individual price goes up if you buy lower amounts. Learn more Suboxone details here.
