I had 4 teeth pulled out and had no infection...my gum is swollen and I'm on amoxicillin as well as tylenol #3 and chlorhexidine rinse. Everything was going good until I started the rinse yesterday. I have a wisdom tooth infection, and I am scheduled to have it pulled out in two days, since my dentist say that the infection has to be healed first. But the pain is excruciating! What can I use, to ease the pain, for the time being. ## this site is not medical professionals to suggest a treatment and since you did not say what antibiotic you are taking I cannot check for interactions. Most people generally just use Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen, if it is said to be okay by your doctor or pharmacist. Have you tried calling your dentist to ask what you can use? ## When I had my wisdom teeth removed I was prescribed Vicodin. Worked really well for me. I started belviq last Saturday I've been taking one pill at 6am and then my 2nd pill is at 1;00-2:00pm only because my doctor told me not to take it too late because I won't be able to sleep. I was put under General anesthesia for it. Because you are driving perhaps take 1 and when you get to the office take the other. 1 mg is not a lot but if you are not used to them it could be a little too much if you are driving or even if you aren't. I had one of my back tooth pulled about 6 days ago That had already had a root canal done on it in the pass,I was on anitabitics a few days up to this point, when they pulled it signs do infection was very clear. Felt pretty good for about 3 days after now the tooth or should I say I believe it's the gums are hurting and has been every since. My regular doctor left the clinic I have been at since 2010. New doctor at same clinic wants to wean me off my daily 280mg of methadone in just 4 weeks time. Have been on this dose for 25+ years... Mayo clinic, and my original doctor from Hawaii and clearance from two cardiologist have said no reason to stop at this point and no risk. Mistake was to not check this new doctor out first who I have since discovered is notorious for pulling this on patients for no reason. Taking it approx 50 years, I just take it as prescribed and space it between other medications. It has worked like a charm. I've gone off of it (due to assorted doctors) only to found out, NOTHING WAS BETTER. The FDA wants to pull it b/c it's less expensive as the ones they advertise on ATV. It's a huge, misfunctioning institution, pharm co's, many doctors, and media...hence 'The Evil Empire". It's about money, not health. Who pays for those fancy commercials?
