That said, I do have my doubts that it will go undetected in any test except a blood test. If you have a valid prescription for Methadone you should be fine though. When they test and send it in by Fedex, how long before they get results back? The reason I am asking was last Thursday I found an old Fentanyl patch stuck to me that must have been in my bedding or something. Of course, the same day I got tested. Today is Tuesday and they haven't said anything but my counselor is getting old and isn't all there. I'm not even sure there was meds still on this old patch? And usually for drugs like this, the safest way to stop taking them is to taper off them under a doctor's supervision, if possible. Wanted to say I just came out of precipitated withdrawal! What holy hell! I have been on methadone for 6 years taking 115 mlg daily & got myself down to 50 mlg for 2 weeks, waited more than 72 hours, then took 2mlg suboxone. I was fine. Not better, just not worse. Following my doc's orders, I took another 2mlg 90 mins later. Ok, then took another 2mlg after 90 min and oh my god. Almost instantly threw me into precipitated withdrawal! I've been going to pain management for over six years now. The main doctor over all of his pain management centers got into trouble and decided to take everyone off of methadone and fentanyl. Well I was on 60mg a day for six years. They have been doing a medication rotation on me since then. This is the first month they took the last 30mg of methadone away from me. I am on 40mg of oxycontin three times a day and 15 mg of oxycodone three times a day for breakthrough pain. I'm sure I will have a urine done next month. My pain doctor has changed me from 10 mg methadone to 120 avinza how long get before relief.with the new avinza? There was an issue with taking methadone for years it would cause heart problems. I have been on Methadone for 5 - 8 years. Has anyone done this and how long does it take for the relief to come? ## To equal 10mgs of Methadone only requires 37.5mgs of the Morphine, so there shouldn't be a lot of different in the relief, since you were placed on 120mgs, but you may be dealing with some withdrawal rebound pain from stopping the Methadone. Has your doctor provided you with any advice on it?
