How Long Does It Take To Get Methadone

I've been on methadone liquid now for roughly 3 years, though 60 is the highest ive ever taken, 10 being lowest and it amazes me how strong and powerful this stuff is. I swear i dropped down to 20 and was ready to switch over to subutex, but right at the last minute i bottled it despite my doctor really saying do it, best move you will ever make, but my reasons were i really was so depressed, sweating profoundly, no sleep. Also was coming off a 20 yr valium addiction take away a few yrs in detoxes and rehabs. I'm a londoner uk by the way, nice too meet ya. All good serious website help me. Anyway well instead of swapping over to subs i put my methadone up to 35 then 40 and stopped. Also still dabble with valium and klonopin once a week, stupid really. I gotta gdt off this methad...

I heard Do you swallow methadone or dissolve it umder your tongue first?? I ## It depends on the formulation. What are the markings on it? Methadone comes in sublingual, liquid, and sold formulations that you have to swallow. Can you please post back with more details? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming.

Hi i take methadone for 3yrs now i take 80mgs a day. Hello everyone who is one methadone and wants to get off. I was on methadone for 6 years....I wanted to get off so I went to a rehab and did a 30 day suboxone detox getting down to 1 mg for the last 3 days. After 2 days off suboxone I started to get sick once again and decided to get back on methadone. That lasted for about a year before I had finally had enough. I got off my subs for a month and went back to full antagonists thinking I was gonna have gall bladder surgery. I can't take the opiates anymore so I went back to my subs two days ago after being on methadone for about two weeks. Wanted to say I just came out of precipitated withdrawal! What holy hell! I have been on methadone for 6 years taking 115 mlg daily & got myself down to 50 mlg for 2 weeks, waited more than 72 hours, then took 2mlg suboxone. I was fine. Not better, just not worse. Following my doc's orders, I took another 2mlg 90 mins later. Ok, then took another 2mlg after 90 min and oh my god. Almost instantly threw me into precipitated withdrawal! Hydroxyzine 50mg 4 time daily. Bus par 60 mg daily clonazapam 1mg 3a day melatonin 10mg bedtime. Does any take away the effect of methadone. I am on 244 mg a day due to rapid metabolism. I gave all my drug history and wanted to get into a methadone clinic because i've been battling opiate addiction and they said the medical staff suggested that I go to a non opiate clinic and im pissed. How do I get accepted? They wont tell me why they denied me? Please help me, I really need this. ## Hey Dandrea. The only reasons I could come up with for them to say you should try non-opiate clinics for help would be: 1.) You took a drug panel and during the U/A your levels of opiates weren't present or didn't match the dose you claimed you were using regularly. 2.) During some point in the conversation, the doctor decided your behavior, responses, and withdrawal symptoms did not warrant a script for hardcore opiates.

I've been on various pain meds since I was 21 due to a VERY serious car accident where I broke my back and did a lot of other damage to my body. I've moved up through SEVERAL meds over the years, and have NEVER been fully pain free, but at times able to live life fairly normally, others not so much! I take suboxone. I'm really trying to be 100% clean. I ran out of suboxone early and took 3 10mg methadone pills. I have never taken them before.
