I've been on percocets for 2 years. 5mg. 4 times a day. I know not much. now I'm down to 3. my last dose was 1230am. is now 1030. I have an 8 milligram suboxone. how long should I wait. and how much should I take. I just took a 5 milligram klonopin. on my nervousness. my legs are starting to feel a little crampy. got a little stomach pain. so please can someone tell me. how to start this. I regularly take 10-12 mg of Suboxone daily. This month I ran out 3 days early, so I took 80 mg of opiates. Each day I took my last does of opiates at noon, it's now 7 pm. Is it safe to take Suboxone again? I don't want to go in withdrawals but I have always been told Suboxone remains in your system for 3-5 days. I have been taking 60mg of Morphine daily for a year. This past week I took 3-4 8mg Dilaudids daily. Last night I went back to 60 mg Morphine. This morning I took 6mg of Suboxone and was in withdrawal 20 minutes later. I had to take a 1 mg Xanax and fell asleep. I am worried about tomorrow. I have no more Subs but I do have a 60mg Morphine. I have gained custody of my grandchild because of parent addiction. They are now being given Suboxone, the rehab person says "no, they can't get high from it". I believe they can. From what information I have read he high is just not as strong. So can a person "get high" from suboxone? ## In theory, yes, someone could get high from it, because it still contains a narcotic, which is Buprenorphine. However, there are 2 factors that come into play to prevent their doing so and abusing it. I take way too damn much. I have came across this website a bunch. I take more than 32 mg a day and I always end up regretting it. I don't know what's wrong with me and I know its stupid. Every time I get my script I always end up doing the same damn thing. Hello everyone, I have been on Suboxone 8/2, twice a day for over 5 years. I want to get off it but I have major health compications. I've had major depression my whole life. My last psychiatrist put me on several other drugs for my depression. One of them is an amphetamine called Vyvanse. (70 mg.) How long does a person have to stay on suboxone? I heard a long time, sometimes. ## Hi bella, Some people stay on subs for years. They may taper down to just a few mgs but stay on for a long time. Some people will stay on a high dose for a long time. Some folks will just use it for a quick detox for maybe a week. Then some folks will use it for a half a year or so. Once some people get straight for awhile and are getting counceling and going to meetings or what ever they will have there Dr. taper dose down and eventually they jump off and can live a straight life. I don,t think theres any set time limit when it comes to subs.

I have been taking 32 mg suboxone/subutex for over a year. I switched to Methadone four days ago. I had my fourth dose of methadone today...50 mg. I feel like I’m in at least partial withdrawal, even though it’s only been 12 hours. There’s not much methadone built up in my system, so would it be safe to take subs now? I take 12mg of suboxone a day and it keeps me level headed and happy for the most part. It’s saved my life, but it doesn’t completely ameliorate my urges to use. Well yesterday was my last day of subs for me. I tapered myself all the way down to .5mg a day. I'm ok today but my back is starting to mess with me, but I'm fine.
