I am detoxing off of methadone and ive talked with my counselor and since i have pain issues that im going to have to address because of me detoxing off of the methadone, she(counselor) told me to check out some pain clinics were they can monitor my med use,but i would really like to be sble to find a pain clinic that would maybe give me 10-20mg of methadone in pill form just for the pain instead of going back on any kind of pain medication. I just dont see the point in getting back on some random pain med after i just spent 4 years to stay off of them.???? im very confused and dont know what to do??? Can you help ## Hi Amy, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I don't know of any clinics to recommend, but I'll try to be of help in other ways. What type of pain are you exp...

I have been addicted to pain pills for nearly 20 yrs. can anyone tell me a good methadone doctor in hickory NC. ## Hi, Coy! If you are looking to use it to break your addiction, then you will have to go to a Methadone clinic, a private physician isn't allowed to prescribe it for that under the current laws. To be used to treat addiction, it has to be used under the supervision of those that are specially trained in using it for that in a clinical setting. Have you considered treatment with Suboxone? They have a website at suboxone.com with a feature that will let you search for doctors in your area and it only requires monthly visits to the doctor, with counseling, rather than daily visits like the Methadone clinics. Learn more Suboxone details here. It also has the added bonus of e...

My husband has been taking this med for a virus. He will eat something small before taking b/c it upset his stomach. Shortly after taking he will get hiccups that will last for awhile. Can this med cause this and should he keep taking? ## First of all, Cephalexin is an antibiotic, so it is only effective against infections, it will not do anything for a virus, since it's not an antiviral medication. Did his doctor prescribe this? That is why antibiotics cannot be used to treat cold or the flu, because they are caused by viruses, not bacterial infections. Using them inappropriately causes the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. As to the hiccups, it is probably because they can cause some gas in some people, if he is taken it with small amounts of food and gulping a flu...

Im havin alot of trouble finding a pharmacy that carries yellow perc 10/325s n my area. Most of them carry the IP204s but these dont work nearly as well. Is it ok 2 call pharmacies & ask which 1s they carry? ## Whichever one that a pharmacy has in stock will depend on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to replenish their supply. Learn more Percocet details here. That said, no calling will not get you straight and accurate answers, due to the fact that this is a controlled substance and they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate customer with a need, or a potential thief. Thus, you'd have to go in and actually show them your prescription to find out. If you know who the manufacturer is of the ones that worked well for you, you ...

I need to get refill on lortab or Percocet for chronic pain that takes Amerigroup January 2015, a small clinic that will prescribe lortab close to mt Juliet Tennessee ## I'm sorry, but general practice clinics will no longer prescribe such medications, due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year. If you require such a medication, you'll need to see a specialist, now. Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. The FDA lists this medication as being a This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have not been able to find a medicine that helps with what my doctor thinks is Gerd. The last medicine was protonix and within 21/2 weeks I am having side effects. Ankles are spasming as well as hands however I have spondilosis. I have never had spasms in these areas until protonix and I still have food that gets stuck and continuous hiccups. My doctor put me on 400 mgs of magnesium. Any answers or opinions? ## Hello, JLM! How are you doing? It isn't actually that food gets stuck, though it does feel like it. It's esophageal erosion and irritation there. Sometimes you swallow something that irritates it and gets it acting up, so it feels like there is a lump there, but there actually isn't. And yes, that is a sign of GERD. What other medications have you tried? I had many ...

I am getting hiccups continuously from the morning around 3am till now.. Can I use the omee-d tablet..It's a bit urgent... Any response would be helpful..thank u. ## Hello, Hari! How are you? This medication is used to help treat excess acidity and to facilitate gastric emptying, so it will not likely help with such an issue. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and flatulence. Hiccups are usually caused by spasms of the diaphragm and they are most often caused by swallowing a lot of air, while eating or drinking, though there are other causes, as well. Do you often eat hurriedly? Or gulp your drinks? If so, that could explain the problem. ## Hello. I'm suffering from hiccups. Can I use omee tablets for relief? ## You ...

My husband was prescribed this med after telling his oncologist that he felt like he had something in his throat that was making it hard to swallow. For the last 3 days now he has had constant hiccups. I mean constant(even while sleeping). He's about at the end of his rope. I suggested that he take a dose of the "magic mouthwash". The hiccups stopped for about 15 minutes and then came back. That 15 minutes has been his only relief for 3 days. He had chemo this week as well. The scheduling of Soma was recently changed, since it is commonly abused, so many doctors no longer want to prescribe it and are swathing their patients to alternatives.
