I have been taking the following medicines: Amlodepine 5mg + lisinopril 5 mg Gliclazide 80mg+ metformin 500 mg Sizopin 100mg Azona 40 mg I want to know can I take these medicines together. Since they're all used for similar purposes I knew there were bound to be some complications, but I didn't suspect quite as many as I had found. Based on my research, there are several potentially dangerous drug interactions between most of the medications you mentioned. The frustrating part is, doctors are completely aware of these interactions and still hand out more prescriptions without letting people know of the risks involved.... *Using Clozapine and A...

My doctor originally prescribed Diamicron (60m) for my Type II diabetes but, more recently, my specialist prescribed Glucephage. What are the differences please? ## Diamicron contains the active ingredient Gliclazide, so it was a different medication than the Metformin in the Glucophage. If you didn't have good control of your blood sugar levels, your specialist might have wanted to switch you to this, because many people get very good results from it. However, it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and flatulence. More details: Are there any other questions?

I would like to know what this pill is please, small white pill with a G scored then Z and plain back. I have came across it in my home and it doesn't belong to any meds I recognise so worried where its came from. Help appreciated. ## Hi sonia, The closest match I can find is Gliclazide (80 mg); which is a white round pill with the imprint G Z on one side divided by a score line and C on the back. Gliclazide is an oral hypoglycemic (anti-diabetic drug) and is classified as a sulfonylurea. From what I can gather, this medication is manufactured in the UK and Canada, it is sometimes combined with the U.S. drug Metformin. Do you think this could be your pill?
