WHAT IF I FORGET TO GIVE A DOSE TO A BABY - SHOULD I GIVE IN A.M. AND THEN AGAIN IN P.M. ## If you forget to give a dose, you should give it, as soon as you remember, unless it is close to the time for the next dose. If that is the case, then just give the next dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule, until the course of the medication has been finished. With an infant, you should never double up or give more doses than your doctor has instructed. This is an antibiotic and it may cause some side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and skin rash. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

I have been taking levothyroxin for 3 or 4 years. Recently, somehow I forgot to take my dose each morning. Completely forgot about it. As a result, about 6 weeks later, a phone call from my doctor after reading my lab results from blood test ended with advice to get to the emergency room ASAP and get admitted to the hospital. My blood saline level had fallen to a dangerous level and I was in danger of stroke, heart attack, death, or coma. I had been feeling very weak for some time and had no idea why. Even standing and walking around the house at home had become a major effort. So, I went to the hospital as advised. I ended up spending 3 days in the hospital, getting a saline IV the full time, as well as starting back on my levothyroxine regimen. My saline count had fallen to 118. 3 day...

Trying to find generic donnatel no luck I live in PA. It is the "only" med that has ever helped me with my IBS, the excerises well to who wrote it good luck.. it does not work. If someone finds the generic pls post it here Thank You !!! ## Hi Care, Based on what I've read, apparently they really did stop making the generic form of Donnatal (Belladonna Alkaloids with Phenobarbital). Some patients might get lucky finding left overs on the shelves of some of those old mom/pop type drug stores or even less popular pharmacies like Rite Aid. But I hear a different company ended up buying out the generic and now only the brand name is said to be available. Have you considered trying the brand name yet? ## When was donnatal exlir I heard from Walgreens said it was not being made any...

My dad is in the hospital and he has been taking 10mg of Valium for 40 years. Nurses haven't given any to him for three days, he only takes at HS. He is 86, fell and is confused. Every time he goes to the hospital, he gets confused. He is normally very sharp, well read and can discuss and debate topics. They put him on Ativan, because he has a half pint of whiskey per day. I am very concerned about the nurses forgetting his Valium. Confusion is worse, but sleeping all the time. Ativan is tid. ## Hello, Ruth! How is your dad doing? Has there been any change? If he's experiencing some withdrawal, since Ativan is much milder than the Valium, that could explain the confusion and extreme drowsiness. He may also experience rebound anxiety, depression, fever and chills. However, if he...

I started citalopram a year ago and it takes time but it does work. I take 40 mg a day, and life has gotten better. OK, I do admit, you will be a little forgetful and slow, but that is what it does. If you are high anxiety, like me, it will slow you down. It calms you down and if you embrace it just right you CAN make the drug work in your own way and fitting in your own lifestyle. But remember, IT DOES TAKE TIME. You'll see. ## Medications in this class generally take a month or more to reach their full effectiveness, for most people. AS to being forgetful and slow, this DOES NOT happen to everyone, medications can affect everyone in different ways. So, while some may experience this as a side effect, not everyone does. Thank you, however, for providing your experience and informat...

Can I take 500mg vitamin B12 tablets for a month straight? On one tablet a day, I had a low level of vitamin B12 due to poor absorption. My current level of B12 is around 350 but I still experience numbness in my hands when I sleep on my sides. So I cant sleep on my side. I also tend to forget things sometimes. ## What has your doctor advised? 350 is considered to be in the normal range, which goes from 200 to 900. So, you should consult your doctor, because it really depends on how poor your absorption is, a supplement may be necessary to keep your level in the normal range. However, you do have to be careful, because getting your level to high can also be dangerous. ## Hi Verwon, Thanks for the reply. I should probably take a test before taking vitamin b12 pills. I've been taking citalopram for just over a week and I've got the shakes and my walking has gotten slower. Also, I tend to forget things. I am feeling washed out and tired. I'm not bothering with my appearance as I can't be bothered to even cook myself a hot meal. I'd rather live on crisps and snacks. Is this normal or does it get better with time? ## No, this is NOT normal. It sounds like you are having a bad reaction to the medication and you should contact your doctor immediately to inform them. They will want to rule out other causes and if it is the medication, you may need to try something else. Have you contacted them, yet? ## Hi. I've just been put on citalopram 10mg a day for depression and anxiety. Has anyone out there benefited from this drug and does ...

Tri-sprintec pack of birth control pills my daughter just started this month. She got to the 4th row of white pills and stopped taking the pills. I think she thinks they are sugar pills. What is in the 4th row, should she take the 7 days of white ones? She only missed 2. TX! ## Yes, they are essentially sugar pills. She should take them just as a reminder tho; she may remember this time, but over the months/years one could forget... ## That is correct, they are placebo pills that are meant to keep her in the habit of taking them. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irregular bleeding, mood changes, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Pain clinic increased the fentanyl from 12 to 25 and now I finally back down to 12mcg. Took the patch off today (I'd rather have pain than fentanyl). I am still having skin crawling, restless legs symptoms with each step to decrese the dose. I want to be off this horrible drug and go back to work. How long will the symptoms last? Also, the fentanyl has made me very emotional, and decreased my mental alertness. I have been forgetful and can not evn remember the first few weeks I was put on the patch. Is this medication this awful for all or am I just a rare case? The medicain was prescribed by a PA when my ortho surgeon was out of town. After only three weeks, I was having physical withdrawal symptoms between patches and when I tried to tke it off, I was in pretty bad shape. Thanks f...

It can be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability, therefore it is not advisable to use it without consulting your doctor. fighting high blood pressure but want to know if it would be better to split 100mg dose to 50mg twice a day. Seems like I start the day off way behind and spend the rest of the day trying to get it down...over 100 most mornings 95 is down!! ## Yes, it can be taken that way, I split my doses, with my doctor's approval, because it works better for me that way. Generally, they only prescribe them as once daily doses because many people forget to take multiple doses throughout the day, so it's easier to keep a patient compliant, if they only have to take them once daily. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. I have forgot to collect my prescription from doctor and its now closed ll weekend and have just been on lower dose for 4 weeks, how will this effected me or how can i get some to tide me over. ## Hi Donna, Depending on how long you've been taking this medication and how much of it you've been taking, there is a risk for withdrawal symptoms. If you forget to take a dose, it's generally recommended that you take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. (Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one). As far as withdrawal symptoms go, the precautionary guidelines for this medication state the following: "If you suddenly stop taking citalopram, you may...
