I've been having pain in toes on both feet. Wondering if this could be due to flecainide. Pain and tingling about a month after usage. ## Hello, Squirrel! How are you feeling? I'm sorry that you're in pain. It has been known to cause some joint and muscle pain or cramping in some people that take it, though it isn't common. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. If you've been on it for over a month, then it is most likely that this side effect is going to continue, if it is caused by the medication, so you may need to try a different drug to treat your condition. But, you should have this checked out, because there is a chance that this symptom is unrelated. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Have had extensive blood tes...

My papa wants to purchase this medicine for pain of foot this medicine is good for this and not ## I'm sorry, what medication are you talking about? You didn't post a name or put it in any particular forum, so I don't know. There are many medications that can be used to treat pain, such as opiates: But the proper treatment will depend on what is causing the foot pain. Has he seen a doctor for it?

Does anyone know the possible MEDICAL cause of the pain. Is the colesevelam preventing the uptake or processing of some other nutrient that is causing these cramps? Does anyone know of any remedies that get at the CAUSE (ie, is it a vitamin or other lipid I am not absorbing correctly?). I know I can just take tylenol or something, but I don't want to be on those pain killers every day as they cause other problems as we all know. Welchol works to stop the intestinal issues (gall bladder removed). But the pain in my feet is debilitating. ## Actually, this medication has been known to cause general myalgia as a side effect, according to the FDA, along with headache, flatulence, constipation and abdominal pain. Thus, a pain reliever may be your only option. Have you consulted your docto...

In October I had a PE and have been on Xarelto since. Currently I take 20mg per day and every other day constant pain in my legs and feet. Does any one have any suggestions? ## parish are you on any kind of diuretic/water pill? could be electrolyte imbalance it causes muscle aches, cramps and restless legs. eat some bananas, drink some Gatorade, v8 is great, and try a magnesium supplement. you can also take an Epsom salt bath, soak for about 10 to 15 min. the minerals and electrolytes begin absorbing immediately and the warm bath feels good. worth a try. hope this helps ## @Parrish, I don't mean to provoke any further concerns, but according to NIH.gov, experiencing pain in the legs is regarded as a potentially serious side effect that you should contact your doctor about immediatel...

I have taken metanx for 2 1/2 mo my feet and ancles have gotten so sore i could hardly walk on them. I quit taking the med. 3 days ago and can feel a great differance in the pain leavel. ## After doing some major research Shaklee B Complex is equivalent to Metanx! Hope this comes through - they blocked my comment from yesterday! ## There have been a few people reporting that Metanx caused them worse pain and did not help at all. Unfortunately, it appears that it does cause this opposite effect in some people. Have you spoken to your doctor about using something else? Mommacakes, did you have a link to a site that sells the item in your post? My mom is having some pain in her second toe from her toenail getting snagged from inside of her sock, because she drags her right foot from a stroke she is still recovering from 2 years ago. Is it okay to try a little Ketoprofen Lidocaine for her sore toe? ## It would be best not to try anything, without her doctor's approval. Though it is topical, there is still a slight risk of there being interactions, or complications with other medications she may be taking. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including headache, skin redness, irritation, and dryness. What other medications is she taking?

My husband has severe knee, foot, and muscle pains. His doctor recommended for blood test to find the vitamin D3 levels. The reports showed levels as 5.5. His doctor suggested to take SHELCAL 500 -1 Tab / day. Now he started taking this SHELCAL 500 from last 2 weeks. But the muscle pain has not yet gone. Can you please kindly suggest how many days after taking this tablet, we can expect the pain relief. ## For muscle pain he need protein suppliment ## Normally for muscle pains or knee pains Soma muscle relaxer is the most effective medication. Can this Metanx cause bad foot pain? ## It really shouldn't, it is used to treat cases of such pain, caused by neuropathy. Have you spoken to your doctor or pharmacist about this problem? ## I got the med for foot neurophy, but since starting it the pain has become different and worse. guess i should check with him again'. ## I started having more pain in my feet, too, after starting Metanx for neuropathy, and one foot is getting real bad. My doctor can't figure out what is causing the increased pain. I also wonder if Metanx could be causing it. I hope there will be an answer somewhere to this question. ## i completed taking a script for 60 metanx for pain in my foot; i too had increased pain and my other foot stared bothering me; i could barely walk the first two weeks of t...

I took Lyrica for about 8 weeks and felt horrible on it. I had pretty much every side effect you could think of. I began having pitting edema in my legs and extreme pain on the solesof my feet. I weaned off of it and now 6 plus weeks later I am still having swelling and foot pain. Has anyone else experienced this? ## Yes I have had the feet problem. I will be sound asleep and awake to what feels like someone stabbing the heals of my feet with an ice pick. I have never felt anything like this before. ## Some people do not do well on Lyrica, however, side effects do not last for that long after the medication has been discontinued. There are also not listed among the normal side effects and should be reported to your doctor, immediately. Common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, di...

Hi im 33 yrs. Yr old ive suffered with deppressed for 10 yrs now. I was taking prozac abd stopped 4 yrs ago. I have recently lost my mom sudden and unexpectly and i cant seem to find a way to get out of my depression and yes it does run in my family. I lost weight. And now ive gained 25 lbs in a month. ??? And my foot paini have 2 planters warts on the bottom of my foot on the front pads on both feet. Ive had had thrm surgicly removed and they return. Wat would you suggest i do? That you for your time ## For the warts, you'll likely need to have them removed, again. They do tend to do that, so sometimes they must be removed several times, as detailed by the NIH. As to the depression, having lost both parents at varying times of my life, I understand how hard that is and I would sugg...

I suffered a stroke 3 weeks ago. I'm still experiencing pain in left foot and left hand, but the entire left side body numbness I first had has lessened greatly. Though at times severe, the hand, wrist, foot and ankle pain is not constant....sort of tolerable for periods lasting perhaps a few hours, returning from semi-tolerable discomfort to outright pain that also can last for hours. It's a cycle I've yet to comprehend so I can't really anticipate when the pain's going to hit hard. This is more than the 'pins and needles' feeling I now accept as my new lifes constant reminder.....This simply is hours each day (and night) of hurt. What medications, OTC or prescribed by doctor, can be recommended? ## Hi, Matt! So sorry about the stroke and subsequent pain. Th...

How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. The FDA classifies Metanx as a medical food, it is contains a variety of nutrients, such as B vitamins, that are believed to help with nerve health and function. Since it is a supplement, the only reported side effect is nausea, in some people. As to whether or not it will help, there is really no way to say, the only thing you can do is try it and see. My foot bumped with a sofa corner and got a painful and swelling reaction right away. It's been a week already but the swelling and the pain just don't stop. ## An antibiotic will only help if you have an infection, such as what might occur if your foot was cut or scraped and bacteria got into the wound. An infection would not occur immediately, it would take a few days to set in and cause any swelling or problems. In addition, if you use an antibiotic, when you don't have an infection, you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, which could cause serious medical issues in the future. If it swelled immediately after the injury, it is not likely an infection, but something else. It could be a broken bone or a sprain. Have you visited a doctor, yet, to get it...

Following a night where I consumed approximately five tequila shots, I'm now dealing with a hangover as well as acute pain in my recently operated foot. Is it possible I could manage the discomfort by taking an oxycodone? ## Dear Ms. Mona, I would be extremely careful drinking when on narcotics. The symptoms come on suddenly with almost no warning. Drinking and narcotics at the same time can cause anyone to have severe breathing trouble, so severe it can be deadly. Also, it can make anyone very lethargic and start to put off daily tasks until stopping them completely... These two tragedies I personally experienced. Sincerely, K. See ## I didn't take it. I was too afraid. I'll just wait a couple more days before I decide to take anything for pain. Thank you though. ## However...

I'm not sure what to do. It comes and goes. I have a rod in the femur it was 7 or 8 years ago. It's mostly when I go from standing to sittingsitting. Someone said there's a nerve that's being triggered. What's wrong with my leg????? ## Hello, Mark! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the pain you're experiencing. Yes, that does sound like nerve pain. Generally the pain like that, which comes and goes, is due to a nerve occasionally being pinched. Other symptoms, as listed by the NIH, may include pins and needles, or a burning sensation. Have you consulted your doctor? Are you on any medications?

I am prescribed (2) tabs 25mg carvedilol, (1) tab amlodipine besyl 5mg,(1) tab potassium chloride 8meq sr, and (1) tab losartan k/hctz 100-25mg a day for HBP. I have been on this for past 8 years. I have severe leg/foot weakness and pain. I do not have diabetes but my family Doctor said it is probably neuropathy from unknown cause. This started since the onset of the meds. I also have poor balance. My pressure is under control but the effects are bad. Could the losartan be a major cause as I've heard a lot of negative issues with this med. ## According to NIH, the following symptoms are listed as known side effects of Losartan: -weakness or heaviness of the legs -unsteadiness or awkwardness -muscle pain or stiffness -numbness or tingling in the feet Source: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhe...
