Hi, I have been diagnosed with Scrub typhus and the medication (doxycycline) was started after 15 days (the delay is because of diagnosis) from initial appearance of symptoms. First symptom was a severe throat pain which made difficulty in swallowing even my saliva. Later symptoms like fever (103 F), severe body pain (unbearable at back and limbs), consistent chills, fever and sweating developed and remained with me for more than 2 months. I started to loose weight (around 11 Kilograms in 45 days) and my immune cells were found in elevated levels (double than the normal level). Hemoglobin and RBCs were found reduced than the normal limits.
