I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What do you mean by little spikes? Are you referring to short hair that's sticking up? If so, that's hair breakage, not hair loss. from few month my hair start falling every day while coming my hair.Dr prescribe me konaz shampoo and mintop 10% to use .But there is no result while using these medicne . ## If the medication is not working for you as prescribed, then you probably shouldn't continue using it. The stability of one's hair can't just be treated from the outside if the issue is an internal factor; such as being deficient in certain nutrients that make hair strong. What it really comes down to, in my opinion, is what changes you may have made to your dietary habits or lifestyle before your hair began to fall out? It may not seem like a big factor, but your body can respond to these stimuli in a variety of different ways, whether the change is negative or positive. Figuring out the underlying pro...

I don't have any money for anything but for diapers wipes and stuff my twins needs,My hair keeps falling out and I need this so my hair will grow back I know that you need to make a profit but please will you guys help me out ## Hi Maile, I'm not sure what you're talking about as far as making a profit goes, but this site does not manufacture or sell any products. It's simply a platform for people with medical, health and wellness inquiries to communicate with one another. On that note, Kera-veda hair grow oil is only $12.95 on amazon by Lotus Herbals.... so I don't see how pricing could be too much of an issue in this day and age? If you're having a problem with low income, have you considered applying for human resource programs like grace resource, food stamps...

Oh my goodness...I am a mother of two. 5 and 10 years old. I think stress was the leading cause of my heart acting "crazy". Just general stress. I have had an irregular heartbeat from childhood. Landed in the ER with terrible ekgs. Doctor put me on metoprolol 25 mg. twice daily until I see the heart doc. Before hair was falling out a tad...mind you I am a hairdresser, but this is terrible! Been on metoprolol 1 month and I am going bald in the front, fast. I am 31 years old. :( ## You should contact your doctor immediately, this is actually listed a serious side effect of Metoprolol, it is usually signifies more serious ones occurring and you will probably need to be switched to a different medication. I also had very bad reactions to Metoprolol and had to switch. A similar medic...

I have been suffering from pcod. I consulted doctor and he prescribed me krimson 35. I took it for 6months. After consuming it for 3 months, my hair started falling. I am having a severe hairfall. My hairs have also become thin. The strength of my hair has become one-fourth of its total strength. I can see bald head in some parts. I want to know can I get back my lost hairs? Its been 1year since I am facing this problem. Can I get back.my hair? Will my hairs grow thick? Please reply me please. ## That can be a side effect of this medication, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, PMS-like symptoms, and irritability. But it could also be due to your PCOD, according to NIH studies. And yes, once the problem is resolved, of the medication stopped, your hair should gradually return to norm...

After discontinuing Viibryd, has anyone noticed their hair NOT becoming thick again? I've been on 60 mg for about 8 months. My hair is now falling out by the handfuls.. I have an appointment to see my dr. next week but I'm terrified my hair won't grow back! Not to sound self centered or shallow but I adore my hair! Had I of known this was a side effect I'd never agreed to try this medication. I'm terrified, as I've already stated, but I am also angry that this information isn't given by drug reps who push these meds! I pay 277$ a month for this RX & now have to worry about withdrawals, my hair possibly not growing back & adjusting to a new medication. Any replies are welcome & will be appreciated! ## Hello, Amanda! How are you? I'm very sorry ...

Hi I recently broke my hip, I'm 25 and have been given eliquis to take. It's been 6 weeks now and I'm experiencing my hair start to thin and fall out including my eyelashes. Does anyone know how long it takes to grow back or how long after stopping taking it, your hair stops falling out. At 25 losing my hair is pretty distraught, I could deal with the constant insomnia, low blood pressure and nausea but not this. ## That can be a normal side effect of this medication, according to NIH reports. Are you also taking any others? I have had that happen from medications in the past, so I understand how upsetting it is. You should probably talk to your doctor about trying a different medication.

My hair is falling out and I think it is from taking tramadol for the past 5 months. Only took one 50mg tablet a day. I'm wondering if oxycodone would do the same thing? Do they have the same ingredients? ## Hello, Grace! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. No, Tramadol has not been known to cause hair loss, going by the detailed side effects listed by the FDA. And no, they are not the same, Tramadol is exactly that, while Oxycodone is also a different drug. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are you on any other medications?

My hair is falling out but the handful. . I am on a lot of medication for ankalosing Spondylitis including Enbrel and methotrexate. . I started the Enbrel and the Angelique at about the same time and don't know what is causing this sudden hair loss. . It's a huge amount of hair so I am very confused concerned ## It might be due to the Methotrexate, the NIH does list hair loss as a possible side effect of it, along with nausea, loss of libido, nausea, and dehydration. However, it is not listed for either of the others. You may want to check with your doctor to be sure, you might need to switch to a different medication. Are these the only medications you take? ## hello. iv been taking metho and etanercept for r/a for 6yrs now and im glad to say at 56 i still have a full head of h...

I was switch to Effient after having severe reaction to Plavix. Since being on Effient My hair has been falling out by the handfulls . The condition of my hair now (whats left of it) causes constant snarling and looks so pathetic I don't want to go anywhere. I have fine thin hair to begin with, now I have lost just about all of it. I have never experienced anything like this before and very disturbing when you've had beautiful blonde hair all your life. I am well under 130 pounds and wondered if 10mg was too strong and if it might help with this problem if the does was cut to 5mg. Has anyone else experienced such extrem hair loss from taking effient? And if/what you did about it? I have been taking 200 mg. a day for about 4 years. I thought it was a coincidence that I've lost 50% of my hair during this time because I am also going through menopause. I just found out that it is possible the hair loss is caused by metoprolol, so my doctor just wrote me a RX for a different drug. Will my hair grow back? It was very long, down to my waist, but I've been cutting it to compensate for the thinness. I just touch my head and lose a few hairs! Any ideas? ## I have been on 25 mg of metoprolol for 2 months and my hair is rapidly falling out. I have stopped taking it. Will my hair stop falling out? Is the hair loss that I have already experienced reversable? ## If your hair loss truly was caused by taking Metoprolol, then yes, your hair will all grow back. BUT you we...

After taking Losartan 25 my hair started falling out. Is this a side effect and what could I do about it? I'm losing quite a bit. Thanks. ## Hello, Chickie! How are you? Yes, that can be a side effect of this medication and, unfortunately, it tends to continue as long as you are taking it. Thus, the only thing you can really do is speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. I had better results with Atacand, which is a related med, it just didn't cause me as many side effects. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have taken losartan for approx. three years. I noticed recently my hair is thinning and is not growing. If I discontinue losartan will my hair return to normal growth? My thyroid test was normal. ## Good evening. Since using Soriatane, my hair has become brittle and is falling out. I recently stopped taking the drug but it's still falling out. Will this ever get better? ## HI, Dorothy! Sorry about the hair loss, that is just awful for a woman to have to deal with. And yes, it should get better, if it was just caused by the medication. However, if it was influenced by something else, such as imbalanced hormones, then it may not improve, so you'll really just have to wait awhile and see. How bad is the loss? Have you tried any treatments for the brittleness?

I experienced a severe adverse reaction of 75% hair loss after having a Kenalong inj. to my thumb on 3/1/17. Stay away from this poison! I had to buy a wig; and my hair is still progressively falling after the 12 weeks! Dehumanizing! ## That is odd, it is actually used to treat hair loss. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including administration site irritation, redness, dryness, and flaking. Are you on any other medications? How long after receiving it did the hair loss start? How old are you?

I have used various older drugs like Tegretol, Topamax, Epilum for complex parcial seisures that started 6 years ago after a bash in the head. I have experienced HAIR LOSS with them all. I stopped all drugs 4 months ago as my hair was getting thinner over the last year, its still falling but less. I was wondering if there were any new drugs like SAFINAMIDE that may not affect the hair. Has anybody been using this drug and experienced HAIR LOSS ## I have tryed Tegretol, topamax, epilum and lost lots of hair like every one else over the last 6 years.I have stopped all medication for 8 months now but cant drive. You either loose hair or drive, what a choice. Does this new drug Safinamide and Lacosamide do the same. It seems they are all just bad drugs.

2 months ago my doctor prescribed Pradaxa because I have Dvt. I have other health issues therefore I take quite a few meds. After 1 month on Pradaxa, I said to the doc, there are 2 things a woman doesn't want to happen, 1-gain weight and 2- lose your hair. My genius doc said, hair loss is not a side effect. Told him I don't know where ha gets his info. I took it upon myself to stop Pradaxa. I have been off for 1 week & my hair keeps falling out. Anybody know when the hair loss stops and will your hair come back. To add insult to injury I began to gain weight. I am quite crippled due to severe arthritis in my hips so I don't want to carry any extra weight on my hips. Any ideas when that hunger eases up. Thanks. ## Hello, Dee Dee! How are you? Have been on 50 mg Flecainide twice daily and 125 mcg Digoxin once daily for one year due to sporadic episodes of tachycardia and one incident of Afib that landed me in the hospital. My rhythm adjusted itself after 12 hours. I noticed an increase in hair loss a month or two after I started taking it. I thought it was due to stress levels several months previously because I had experienced hair loss in the past due to stress. That subsided and the hair would grow back but not entirely. However, it has been continually falling out an alarmingly steady pace since. I have seen my dermatologist who said everything seemed normal and to try rogaine. I just had bloodwork for several issues to see if this mystery can be solved and have not gotten the results. It dawned on me that the time frame ...

How can I stop hair loss due to taking Amlodipine 10mg? ## I would personally recommend natural alternatives to counteract it, that way there is no risk of having even more side effects associated with another prescription medication. I found that supplementing with liver pills is a great source of iron, biotin, and B-vitamins which help to keep hair strong and healthy. Another reliable option is supplementing with fish oil or hemp seed oil; particularly the omega 3 and 6 fatty acids are great for hair. One last option I would recommend is ceedarwood essential oil for stopping the hair from falling out. I urge you to google information about these products for not just hair health, but many other benefits as well. Please post back if you have any other questions or concerns...
