Several years ago a doctor recommended over the counter "briny" eyedrops which I found to be helpful in managing "sandpapery" feeling eyes. Now I would like to use these eyedrops again but I cannot remember the name. I seem to recall they started with UR (not sure). Any ideas? ## No eye drops I found started with "UR", but the following are names of eye drops that I felt most closely matched your description: Murine eye drops (these are made from urine) Brolene eye drops Brimo eye drops Could it have been some sort of foreign brand?

Not worth the price. My eyelashes fell out the next day. What little I had. Will not be using the product ever again. Will see if there's something else that can be done with my dermetologist. Seems to be making my eyebrows grow. We shall see.

I was prescribed Nevanac by my doctor after anti allergy medications like Zaditor/Patanol couldn't fully get rid of the redness. Though the first day I used it, my eyes got redder and stayed red for the whole day. My eyes became dry too. That's quite counter-productive, seeing as I was prescribed them in the first place to reduce redness. Anyone have any experience with this medicine? What did you think? Also just wondering, is Nevanac a vasoconstrictor?

Accidently put Zilactin-L in eye, Will it cause any damage. Imediately put clear-eyes, but eye is red and puple seems ok. ## I just put Zilactin-L in my eye as well. I rinsed with the contact solution I had in my purse, but came home and rinsed with water. So far it feels like my eye is just irritated (like I'm wearing a very dry contact.) I too am concerned because I wasn't able to flush for 10 minutes, I'm hoping you received a response? ## Wow, I have to say in this case, you should never pop online and post on a free website waiting for a response. If putting it in your eyes is dangerous, you could suffer serious consequences or permanent damage while awaiting a response. Please, in these types of cases, call or go to your nearest emergency department for prompt assistan...

I have been trying to find Prefrin as well. I used to use it in the 80's & early 90' then it just went away from the stores. I do know that it was made in South Ft. Worth by Alcon Labs. It is still available ???? It was the BEST eye redness relief product on the market... Thanks ## From what I've been seeing on the web, I don't think it's still being manufactured anymore. However you may want to look into what's called a "compounding pharmacy". I don't know all of what goes into it, but apparently these types of places can formulate something for you, provided that you have a valid prescription for it. The list of ingredients contained in Prefrin Eye Drops are: Phenylephrine hydrochloride (1,2 mg/mL) + Liquifilm [polyvinyl alcohol] (14 mg/mL) + Be...

need some OTC drops for conjunctivitis please advise what is available for over the counter ## conjunctivitis is usually caused by a virus or bacteria. you will most likely need eyedrops with an antibiotic in them, not available over the counter. You should try warm, moist compresses, however, going to the doctor for the correct drops is best. ## Yes, please see your doctor. this site does not have any medical professionals on this site, this is an information only website.

My aunt is having problems with her eyesight and found out that oxybutin can cause vision problems. She's been off of oxybutin for 2 weeks and her eyesight isn't any better. She says there's a shadow where here vision is blocked. Has anyone experienced this? If so, did it clear up or was it something different? Wondering if it's time to see a specialist. Thanks!! ## Hello, Gina! How are you? Generally, the Oxybutynin tends to cause blurry vision and dizziness due to the way it affects the vision, as listed by the FDA and from my own personal experience trying it years ago. Other side effects may include headache, dry mouth and urinary retention. Thus, it would be best for her to have this checked out by a specialist to be sure. Drug prescribe for sore eyes ## The proper treatment depends on exactly what is causing the problem with your eyes, which could be many different things. It could be anything from an infection to just temporary irritation. The problem and your medical history, as well as any other medications you may be taking, will then be taken into account, before any type of treatment is prescribed or used. It may require something as simple as eye drops, prescription tablets or some other option. Have you seen a doctor for this, yet? ## what is the medicine prescription for sore eyes?

Can I use Voltaren gel on the skin beneath my eyebrows and possibly on my eyelids for inflammation I have there due to Sjogren's Syndrome? ## Hello, Shira! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having. No, you should not use it there, anything that isn't specially formulated to be used on or near the eye could potentially cause serious damage, if some accidentally gets into your eyes. It would be best to see your doctor to discover what would be safe for you to use. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including skin irritation, redness and dry skin. Is there anything else I can help with?

I think they are selling Visine LR on the internet, but it is very expensive. It is the only gtts that work for me. Have been searching for it for two months. Some of the blogs here have helped with suggestions. ## Hi Neil, Thanks for the heads up. I've also heard about some remaining stocks of Visine LR being available online, but are being sold for much more than most individuals are willing to pay. The eye still has small amounts of grennish yellow discharge & seems sore to dog. What happened I can't afford a vet until pay day ## Hi Jay, Sorry to hear about what happened to your dog. From what I've been reading online, medications like Amoxicillin, Clavamox, Otomax, Penicillin, and Tetracycline are all touted as being safe for dogs… but ideally, a vet should be consulted in order to determine what a safe dose would be. I was prescribed 10mg amitryptilyine for migraine prevention. It seems to be helping with the migraines, however, I feel very tired all day and my eyes have bags under them and feel so tired all the time. It has been well over a month since I've started this and the side effects do not seem to be subsiding. Any suggestions?? I love the fact I'm not having the migraines but the side effects I can't handle much longer. ## Hello! How are you? This medication is a tricyclic antidepressant and it can cause REM onset latency, which means you don't enter the REM phase of sleep as fast as normal and spend less time in it than normal, so your sleep isn't as restful. That's likely why you feel so tired and have the bags under your eyes. I found that they improved about 6 w...

I have a sore eyes which caused my eyelids to inflame. Can i take decilone forte? How many will i take per day? ## Decilone Forte contains the active ingredient Dexamethasone, this is a corticosteroid, that is usually used to treat allergic reactions, swelling and immune disorders.
