I was prescribed Topamax about a month ago for migraine prevention. However, I have developed side effects of numbness and tingling in my hands and feet, concentration problems, problems with motor skills, and not much improvement in my migraines. I am going to ask my doctor to stop taking the the Topamax even though he advised that it would take a couple months to completely see the benefits of it. I just can't deal with the side effects and don't expect them to improve unless he says otherwise. I had high hopes for this drug and I'm really disappointed. ## I too was recently put on Topamax for bad headaches. Within the first week noticed sharper pains in my temples, strange pressure behind my eyes, became much more agitated with people and situations-really short fused. (w...

So I've been on Mono Linyah for about a year or more. For about three months, each time I start the white pills my period starts later and later in the week. At first it was on the first day, then the second, then the third. Now I'm on the fourth day of the white pills and still haven't started my period. I'm pretty good about taking my pills and very rarely miss any. Is this normal? ## Yes, that can be normal, some women even stop having periods, at all, while taking hormonal contraceptives, according to FDA reports. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. Are you on any other medications? How old are you?

Hi. I started taking Oxy for my back pain about a year ago. I noticed an added benefit was a general energy lift and of course kept taking them even after my back was healed. Not daily at first, of course. However, a year later I was up to about 50mg per day give or take a few mg either way. Today is day 2 of no oxy's from a 4 day taper. Feeling ok. I've been taking immodium and kratom off and on throughout the 2 days and even though I'm not 100%, I know it could be much worse. A little sneezing, rls and just a general achy feeling. I do have some Xanax that is helping me sleep at night so thank God for that. I don't know how I would do this without sleep. For anyone going through this, please hang in there. I've noticed that when I get the craving really bad, I can ...

hello.. i have taken 5 tablets of follihair and i feel that few unwanted hair have grown on my face and neck.. though on scalp it did not show any efficacy.. its been only a week or 10 days that i started using it.. is it a side-effect of follihair..shall i continue using it or not??? ## Hi, Sonia! Sorry about the problem you're having. Follihair is just a nutritional supplement that's believed to help with hair loss, but it will only help if your hair loss was caused by a deficiency in one of the nutrients it contains. Thus, it isn't likely that it caused hair growth in unwanted places. How old are you? Are you on any type of hormonal medication, such as oral contraceptives? Many times women experience hair loss and growth in odd areas due to an excess of estrogen and andro...

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE EFFECTS OF USING BOTH MACROBID AND EVENING PRIMROSE? ## There are no interactions listed, however, since Evening Primrose is a supplement, not a medication, this is not always studied. taking Lisinopril hctz 20/25. precription says take 1 every morning. my BP is often higher again by evening (150's/90's sometimes). Is it safe to take another dose in evenings? Does chewing the pill get it in my system faster? round peach tablet with B03 front & LL on back. ## It is not a good idea to adjust the dose, without your doctor or pharmacists instructions. Especially since this also contains the Hydrochlorothiazide, which is a diuretic, too much of it could result in dehydration and other serious conditions, such as Hyponatremia. Chewing will not speed the way it works. Have you spoken to your doctor, yet, about the problem? ## I am taking both Lisinopril 20 and Lisinopril 2025. They say take one daily. It can cause dizziness, drowsiness, headache and stomach pain as side effects and they will be worse if you take it and don't eat right afterwards, because it could lower your blood sugar too far. The last year on Lo Estrin has been up and down. Sometimes I have little to no period and other times it has been heavy and painful. The last few months I've had periods every 2 weeks. Always at then end of the pack but then again in the middle of the next. Does anyone have ideas as to why and if it will stop? Or should I just try another pill? I know when starting a pill there is a grace period. But what about after a year? I rarely skip a pill and when I do I take two pills the next day. Anyone have suggestions? ## That time period should only be about 3 months, not a year. At this point, I'd strongly urge you to just try a different one. I used to average about 1-2 migraines a month, so my primary care doctor prescribed me Fioricet. This usually takes care of the migraine within a couple of hours (not without making me feel kind of drunk though). However, the frequency of my migraines has increased and I'm averaging about one a week, so my primary care prescribed me Topamax. I started it even though I was weary of all of its alarming side effects, and I had to stop it due to the crippling anxiety it has caused me. I plan to talk with my doctor again about getting on a different medication, but I was hoping for some advice. Has anyone tried Elavil for preventing migraines, and if so, how were its side effects? I've heard that some of its side effects are dizziness (which concerns me as I have a daily commute) and...
