I am taking Eslo 5 Tablet for over one yr for mild hypertension. Now have got swelling of the one foot & leg till knee.Know that this can be side effect of this medicine.Would like to know alternative medicine if I want stop this one. Thanks ## How have your blood pressure readings been? Are you also watching your fluid and salt intake? There's a chance that such swelling may not be solely due to the medication, elevated blood pressure and too much sodium and fluid can cause edema and that, in turn, may lead to congestive heart failure. So yes, there are alternative medications that can be taken, but you need to seek medical assistance first, to have this checked out and see what's causing the problem, rather than just trying to handle it yourself.
