How can I the generic Vicodin. I want my RX to state "generic for Vicodin" It used to say, Hydrocodone/Apap 5/500. Now when I get my refills it says Hydroco/Apap generic for Norco? Told they are the same so why do I need to take the Norvo in larger doses (2 pills each time) to get the same relief from one generic Vicodin? I live in central new jersey, and lost my dr. of 10 years. I did 5 years in physical therapy for some issues. I am now forced to leave my dr. and desperately need another immediately. I was perscribed vicodin 750 es and then norco was told they were same and also available under other names. I just wanted to know if Methodone and Trazodone are related, or are in the same family. ## No! Methadone is a narcotic/opiate, used to treat pain and drug addiction. Trazodone is an antidepressant. I believe your confusion was caused because the names are so similar at the end, but you were incorrectly spelling Methadone. Do you have any other questions?

Until the 1990s the brand names were affordable; $20. for 100 Tylenol #4s, $25. for 100 Percocet 5s. When the drug prices went sky high, generic versions flooded the market, $75. for 100 Miltowns vs. $5. for 100 generic meprobamates; but for every two Miltowns I was used to taking, to get the same physical effect (mild sedation) from the generic version I had to take three times as many. Even my doctor told me that the generics were only about 35% as potent as the brand name, so he told me to ask for the brand name of meprobamate Equinal, which was just as good as Miltown but only cost $18. for 100 tabs. I took one of those and had a migraine headache the whole day , along with breathing problems, rash , and nausea , bad stuff . I did some research and manufacture does matter . I have taken 7.5mg hydrocodone for pain in the past, the only effect being the absence of pain. Took one about 3 hrs. ago for a toothache and......it KNOCKED ME OUT!
