This is the end of my first week with one pill per day. I just took the first evening pill. I don't understand. If one pill in the morning is working, why do I have to increase the medicine. I have RA, Sjogrens, Graves disease, fibromyalgia and am hypothyroid. I take plaquenil, nexium and synthroid. I would rather not add any more medicine to my system than necessary. ## Hello, Annie! How are you? The dosage is generally raised, because based on testing, that is the dosing regimen that was found to be safe and effective for most people. Whether or not you take more is entirely up to you, but for the best results, it's usually a good idea to follow your doctor's instructions. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Contrave as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache,...

I been taking Contrave since September. I did the one pill the first week...at first I felt loopy, light-headed a little off, but I got used to it and inplus was tired. Started my second pill the next week and I stopped at the second dose...I could not sleep. So I stopped and just continued with the one pill for about 3 weeks with no problems with my sleep, so then I got the courage to start the second dose which is the one pill in the evening...did fine after maybe three days into the evening pill. I would go to sleep but when I wake up couldn't go back to sleep. I was feeling light headed like the feeling of low blood sugar. But I sucked it up and continued with the evening pill. Now I would like to start with the third pill but I'm not sure. The job that I do and with me work...

I have a chest cold that won't go away. My doctor recommend I take Amox K Clav 500 125- 1 pill, 3 times a day. I am a small person and weigh under 75lbs. Do consider that dosage be too much for someone my size for the next 10 days? ## This is a generic for the antibiotic Augmentin and chest cold is caused by a virus, which would not respond to an antibiotic, so its likely that it has turned into an infection. And yes, that is the usual adult dosage for a severe infection, one tablet every 8 hours for 7 to 10 days. Learn more Augmentin details here. Did you discuss your concerns with your doctor, or pharmacist? You are very tiny, which means such an infection could be really dangerous, so it is important that you treat it properly. Hello, My weight is 90 & height 5'5 want to know the proper disage to take of ZEROFAT-A sachet, how to use it & how many months need to take. ## @PIU, From what I could gather, the active ingredient in Zerofat-A is Orlistat. According to the manufacturer, the typical adult dosage of Orlistat is 120mg taken orally 3 times daily. Apparently you're supposed to take each dose with every meal you have that contains fat. However the manufacturer goes on to note that the dose may also be taken within about an hour of finishing your meal(s). As to how long you should take it, I think that is best determined by you and your doctor, depending on your goals an expectations. I would also encourage you to confirm dosing protocols as well, since the instructions mentioned above are on...

My father has INR 1.43. He has taken 1,1, 2 mg sintrom in three consecutive days. How mg sintrom will he take in matter his INR to be 2-3? Please ask to me as soon as you can. Thank You ## Sintrom contains the active ingredient Warfarin, this is an anticoagulant. It is hard to say, it can take several weeks for most medications to reach their full effect in the body. His doctor should keep testing his levels regularly and adjust the medication as needed, accordingly. You can read more on this medication here: Have you tried asking his doctor about it?

I'm wondering if it's necessary to take 4 pills per day. I'm in the 2nd week of Contrave and take 2 pills per day. Seems to me that is enough as my appetite is diminished and I've had no adverse side effects. What are the additional benefits of increasing to 3 or 4? Can I stay on 2 per day and have it work? ## Hello, Connie! How are you? For the best results, it is best to follow your doctor's instructions by taking the daily dosage that has been found effective. However, you can speak to your doctor about it to see what would be best for you. I have been taking 1,500mg of MSM in the morning and 1,500mg in the afternoon for the past two weeks. I was wondering if I could take 3,000 or 4,000mg in the morning and the same in the afternoon. I am taking it for psoriasis. It has helped some with joint pain, but not at all for my skin. Has anyone bumped the dosage up to 6,000mg or 8,000mg in divided dosage daily? ## MSM is actually just a nutritional supplement and I have never heard of it actually helping with any type of skin issues, though it is naturally present in joints and supplementing it can help with such problems, for some people. That said, the general maximum recommended daily amount is 4.000mgs in equal divided daily doses. Have you consulted your doctor about how much you should use?

I have been suffering from antral erosions and small haital hernia. And i have been using rabonik plus for four weeks and pantocid L for next 3 weeks(till today 24th may). Doctor advised me to continue pantocid for one more week. Many researches say that long term usage of proton pump inhibitors causes many side-effects and health problems. How long can i keep using them safely without getting addicted and without side effects.

My doctor prescribed to take this as 2 pills 2x per day. Not a ramp up like I read about online - has anyone else done this? I have not started taking the pills yet. ## You really should gradually increase it. It isn't fun gradually, it has to really suck taking it all at once. I would think it could hurt you taking it all straight away. The dr will write the rx for the full amount but either tell the pt to gradually increase or give them a sheet of paper. He gave me a pamphlet from the company that makes it. Ive found this to be common with other medicines that had to be brought up to a full dose over time. You should call and ask your doctor what you should do and tell them about the titration schedule. He may not know about it. I've had to inform my doctors about a lot of thi...

I accidentally have my husband 60 mg of nifedipine twice today. Will it hurt him? ## How is he doing? Did he suffer any adverse effects? Anytime something like this happens, it is best to contact the prescriber, or poison control to be sure of the person's safety. While there are those of us online that are happy to help, if we can, we cannot administer life saving procedures, if they'd be needed. Doubling up on a medication such as this could cause hypotension and dangerously lowered heart rate.

Witch time of the day is the beste to take Cymgen 30mg. ## I want to know of I can drink Cymgem in the evening? ## What have your respective doctors advised? Did they suggest any specific times of day? Most people do take such medications in the morning, so it is active in their bodies during their most active times of day, to help keep their symptoms under control. However, in some cases where someone experiences a lot of drowsiness from it, they may have to switch to a nighttime dosing schedule.

Its my second week in taking the pill but I took it in error and I missed seeing the dates and the arrows on it. As a result instead of taking the 8th and 9th pill, I took the 14th and 13th pill and did not notice it until I took the 13 pill. I'm worried if I was unprotected during those days when I took the wrong dates of the pills. ## i was on my 11th pill, but before i took the pill, i hesitated because i thought i was supposed on my 12th pill that night, i thought i just forgot to take my 11th pill the previous night, so i took both the 11 and 12 pills that night. afterwards, i figured out it should have been my 11th pill for that night. so for my 12th night, i didn't take any. and continued on 13th day with my 13th pill.. i just wanna know if what i did is okay? ## I took t...

My doctor reduced my levothyroxine from 125 to 100, because my count is still low. Is this normal? ## Hello, EV! How are you? The dosage does need to be changed regularly, to better balance your levels, so yes, it is normal. You may eventually hit a point where you are on one steady dosage for awhile, or it may need to be changed frequently.
