Is a tec 30 stronger than a percocet 5? Is taking a tec 30 the same as taking a percocet 30? ## If I am not mistaken TEC 30 contains 30 mg of Codeine, whereas a Percocet 5 contains 5 mg of Oxycodone. As far as comparisons go I had a look at the Equianalgesic table and it's showing that Codeine is 1/10th the relative strength of Morphine, where as Oxycodone is 1.5 times stronger than Morphine. So to break that down ... 30 mg of Codeine ≅ 3 mg of Morphine ... 5 mg of Oxycodone ≅ 7.5 mg of Morphine. In other words, a Percocet 5 is over twice as strong as 30 mg of Codeine.

It's a fake pill on one side r p and 20 on the other side. Is tylenol 3 addictive, like oxycodne or hydrocodone? Is it also a class 2 med? I have chronic pain from a traffic accident a few years back (damaged pelvis & lower back, shoulders, etc.). I am quite active on "good days", like riding my Harleys, and don't want to be stuck having to take pain meds on days I can get by with regular tylenol (and wish to drive & be 100% alert). I was dispensed my Oxycodone refill and I'm wondering why it is different. Now it's a small round white pill with a weird shaped M, a scored line, and a 3 on it. I am allergic to coedine, was prescribed oxycod/apap, can you confirm that this does can coedine? ## THIS DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY CODEINE! So I have removed the incorrect post to avoid confusion. This contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. Oxycodone and Codeine are two completely different drugs. However, being opiate based narcotics, they are distantly related, so it is possible to have a reaction to this if you are allergic to codeine. In my case, I cannot take Codeine, but I am find taking Oxycodone or Morphine, while some people will have a reaction to all of them. I would like to know just how much of that codeine is contained in a percocet 512 round pill. in mg's please. concerned parent here. ## It contains 5 mg Hydrocodone and 325 mg Acetaminophin ## OHH MAN. I am sorry, I slipped up. Its 5mg OXYcodone. not hydro. and still the 325 mg of Acetaminophen. ## Percocet does not have codeine in it. It has oxycodone and acetaminophen. Percodan has oxycodone and aspirin. ## The above posters are correct, there is not Codeine in it, though it is still a narcotic pain reliever.

Prescription Tylenol contains codeine and this does not. This contains Acetaminophen 325mgs and Oxycodone 5mgs, it is generic Percocet or Endocet. This is, however, a narcotic pain reliever, but it is much stronger than the Tylenol products.

severe pain. Does nucynta alleviate pain? I am at my wits end and cannot take codeine due to severe itching. Oxycontin 80 or 110mg is better than oxa forte or it's the same. ## Hello, Karl! How are you? would like information on a comparrison of the two drugs are they equal in strenght ## That would depend on the dosage. Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Winadeine contains Acetaminophen and Codeine. The Codeine is not equal in strength to the Oxycodone, so you would need a higher dose of it to achieve the same pain relief. The one with the M 30 marking does not contain Hydrocodone, it actually contains 30mgs of Oxycodone, it is a generic for Roxicodone. The pill with the M 3 marking contains 30mgs of Codeine and 300mgs of Acetaminophen. As to the conversion, the amount of Codeine needed to be equal to each 30mg Oxycodone tablet would be 300mgs, because the Codeine is much weaker than Oxycodone. Im wondering why I would be able to take darvacett & percocetts but I cant take vicodin. Arent theese medications all the same? Would the fact that I have a codeine allergy make a difference?
