Trying to substitute 20mg oxycodone 3x a day with vicodin. How many vicodin a day would equal? ## Hello, Cici! How are you? You should not take more than your doctor has prescribed. The ratio, however, would be 30mgs of the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin to each 20mgs of Oxycodone. The problem is the Acetaminophen that is also in Vicodin, it is dangerous to take too much of it in any 24 hour period. Thus, if the current dose you've been prescribed of Vicodin does not help you, it would be much safer to speak to your doctor about adjusting your dosage, or trying a different medication. I've been taking 15mg of Percocet with Tylenol in them for a year. My dr just gave me a 20mg dose without the Tylenol, but it doesn't seem to be working as well. Percocet contains the active ingredients Oxycodone, and Acetaminophen, and the maximum dosage of it available contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Does percocet come in 20mg? ## I'm assuming you're referring to the amount of the narcotic in it, the Oxycodone? If so, then NO, it does not. Percocet, which contains the Oxycodone, coupled with Acetaminophen, is only available in a maximum dosage of 10mgs Oxycodone and 650mgs of Acetaminophen. I have 3 herniated discs in neck and back and bulging discs. Also arthritis in my whole spine. Also, neuropathy in my feet. I'm almost 70. I have been taking 20mg Percocet 8am and 10 - 15mg at 3-4pm. Has anyone taken 10 mg hydrocodone tabs 1to 3 tabs at once to help with your pain. I want to know what I can expect in the strength of 10 mg er once taken . Is it the same as 1 hydro or much stronger ? I have some breathing issues taking 10 mg OxyContin but not with 15 -30 mg.
