I ran out of synthroid. It shows 0.1MG. I got a temporary bottle that shows 100MCG. Are they the same? ## Hi Lucille, Conversion tools verify that 100mcg (micrograms) is actually equal to 0.1mg (milligrams), so you should have nothing to worry about as far as taking the correct dosage is concerned. If you were given the temporary bottle by another pharmacy, that could explain why they used a different measurement than you were used to seeing. Fentanyl is the most potent opiate available, so you'd actually need several hundred milligrams of Oxycodone to equal a 100mcg patch and you can't take enough Percocet to be equal to it. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, you'd overdose, especially on the Acetaminophen, before you ever reached the same level of efficacy. Even if you tried to space it over 2 days, as you would the patch. The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Hello, my TSH is 5.68 and doctor prescribed Levothyroxine 100 mcg. Its been 5 days only since I started medicine. I don't have symptoms as of now as its just 5 days but I'm concerned about the dosage of medicine. Is it too high for TSH of 5.6? My free T4 was normal. Doctor has asked for another test after 6-8 weeks. How is it all of the sudden I am told 4 days before my due date for 15 Fentanyl patches (100 mcg 1 patch every 2 days) will not be filled because Medicaid doesn't wan't to pay for it? My pain specialist switched me from 100mcg of fentanyl to 40mg 2 times a day of opana ER. Was this the right conversion? How many international units (I.U.) are in 2.0 mcg of Vitamin B12? ## 120mcg of Vitamin K2 is equivalent to how many IU? ## I have never seen vitamin B-12 measured in (I.U) international units. It's almost always measured in micrograms. From what I've read, 2.4 mcg per day, is reportedly the FDA's recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for vitamin B12. The conversion charts that I've come across supporting MCG to IU only pertain to the following vitamins: A, B1 through B6, C, D & E. Perhaps contacting a local pharmacy may be your best bet? I am taking losartan 100 mg tablet every morning before breakfast. I also take Plavix 75 mg and Levothyroxine 100 mcg in a.m. By lunch time I feel very tired and don't have much energy the rest of the day. My question concerns drug conversion. The Fentanyl works well, most of time, for my chronic pain, but my insurance now says I can only get it again in March of 2015. This is still Oct., 2014, so I will be out of patches at end of October. I don't understand this, because just stopping the patches would/will cause terrible withdrawal, because if you are only couple days late, withdrawal starts. This happened also recently as my dr. changed (at my request to try something else)100 mcg. patch to only 15 mg. of morphine ER every 12 hours, because of patches costing almost $400 for one month, which I cannot afford, due to "doughnut hole".
