doctors willing to prescribe pain medication st louis
I am on disability for chronic back pain and degenerative disk disease, in the past I have been on 80 mil oxicontin for about eight years, but have not been on any medications in the past year. I am now at the point of needing pain meds again. ## Hello, Stan! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, asking them to refer you to someone would most likely be the quickest and easiest way to get the help you need. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## There are no new regu... ...

Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Medication In Louisiana
I need to find a Dr. To write a Rx. For hydrocodin for chronic back pain, where can I find one in Southern Louisiana? ## Well, first of all, there is no listing to refer to that tells you what doctors in any given location will prescribe any given medication. And the next issues is that you really aren't going to be able to see a new doctor and ask for a specific medication, because they are taught to see that as drug seeking behavior. Learn more Vicodin details here. Your best bet, if you need long-term pain management, is to see a pain management specialist and set up an appointment to get in the door, without asking is they will prescribe anything. Then make sure that they get a full copy of your medical records, so the documented medical problems and notes from your prior doctor... ...

Does anyone know of a good PCP in the Columbus Ohio area willing to prescribe Norcos for pain of the middle to lower back? Please let me know as I am in a bit of pain and just moved to the area. Thanks. ## Hi James, I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in locating pain management doctors within your general area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider... ...

Doctors willing to prescribe pain medication in georgetown ky
I have been seen by the lexington va for 2 years now with constant back pain. I've had shots and therapy for the pain. The only thin my PCM is giving me is tramadol which I have been on for 2 years and is just not doing anything to help. ## Due to the new regulations that have been put in place, if you're looking outside of the VA, you'll need to see a pain management specialist to possibly have anything stronger prescribed. Have you tried asking your doctor to refer you to someone that can help more? Most VA's have their own pain management clinics. Have you tried that, yet? ## There are no new regulations stating only pain management drs can treat chronic pain. Although many drs prefer not to treat it. You can try another primary care dr or you can ask your primary car... ...

Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado
I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. If anyone knows a decent doctor in my area I would appreciate the refferall it is hard to just call around for one when I say that I have been on meds they say they don't do that. Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Medication in columbus ohio or springfield ohio
My doctor had a stoke and was prescribing me 30 mg a day of methadone for a chronic pain syndrome..I am a 51 yr old, that has never abused drugs!!Does anyone know a dr.or pain dr. that is willing to prescribe this to me..Either in Col, ohio,or Springfield ohio!! Thanks for your time!! ## You'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were put in place at the beginning of the year. Due to the increased rates of over prescribing and improper prescribing, the DEA and FDA are making it harder for general practitioners and surgeons to prescribe such medications for long-term use and most people that need them must be referred to pain management. my brother is a disabled vet of the gulf war with alot of chronic back pain hes got alot of health problems ar there any doctors in joplin mo taking new patients ## Hello Cindy! Sorry to hear about your brother. How is he doing? Does he currently have a PCP? If so, that would most likely be the easiest way for him to get the help he needs, he can ask them to refer him to someone. Doctors Who Will Prescribe Pain Medication Portland Oregon
suffering from cronic headaches and neck pain due to a variety of events ## looking for a new dr. who will be willing to give me the same meds as I was taking before I moved here, they are narcotics that I take on a regualar basis for headaches and neck pain, hydro codone 10 to be exact, where I came from it is tough to find a dr. who will help you, how will I start over in Portland to find a helpful Dr.? ## I'd suggest looking for someone that specializes in pain management and making sure that they get a full copy of your medical records from your prior doctor. In many cases, if you go in asking for a specific medication they will see it as drug seeking behavior, but they can see what works for you as documented by other physicians, they are more likely to prescribe accordingly. Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Meds In Garner Nc
I need a new doctor that will prescribe pain meds for chronic pain. I have been on them for 5-6years now. I can travel a distance. I have paperwork documenting all of this, but can not find a doctor will to give them. HELP> ## Unfortunately, no one can know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not solely on someone else's previous appointment. Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach is to discuss up front and honestly what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Most doctors will take it under consideration and hear you o... ...

Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Meds In Maryland
I am a mother of 3 on medical assistance and have had trouble getting any help with my pain. I've been to several family doctors looking for help but because of this drug epidemic, they treat you like a drug addict and shew you out the door. They don't want to help and don't trust a thing you say. They look at an xray and mri and if there is no obvious sign ofl breakage, fracture or whatever else they look for, they don't trust a word you say. I deal with pain everyday of my life and severe migraines at least once a month and the doctors here are so in fear and are so use to dealing with drug addicts, that they offer no help. I am so tired of going through pain and need help in finding a more understanding doctor, willing to help someone who does not have a slipped disk ... ...

Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Meds In Orange County Ca
I am 50 and work a hard labor job for 25 years. I am in chronic pain constantly. I want a better quality of life and to continue to work. I need a Doctor in Orange County, CA that can prescribe Norco for my pain. ## The main issue here may be due to the fact that you're asking for/looking for, a specific pain medication, especially one that contains a narcotic. Many doctors will see that as drug seeking behavior, it is something they are taught to watch out for in new patients. The best thing you can do is to see a new doctor and make sure that they receive a full copy of your medical records, so your records can speak for themselves. A doctor will be more likely to follow the information and prescribing practices of their fellow physicians. Does anyone know a good doctor in the are... ...
