I have been on methadone for about 6 years and had to start going to a maintenance clinic a few yrs ago after my pain dr lost his license here in Phoenix, Arizona. I tried going to another pain clinic after mine closed but they wanted me off the methadone and forced me to taper off of it in one week and demanded I took gabapentin which DOES NOT work and they didn't care. Anyways, I went to mmt clinic and have been there since but there are so many things wrong with it, I'd end up writing a book. Does anyone know of a pain Mgmt doc who writes methadone scripts in Metro Phoenix area? ## Unfortunately, since you've been going to the clinic, it isn't likely that you'll find a doctor that will take you on. For addiction/maintenance, the current laws will only allow it to ...

I'm 55 and have chronic back and neck pain. I'm also worn out dealing with these state/gov doctors who feel they have to re-invent the wheel where my pain relief is concerned. I have had all MRI'S/diagnostics when I saw a pain management Doctor for over 12 years. However this was back when I was a real person w/ private insurance. Now I'm old broken and unemployed living at the states mercy. I think ANY kind of drug panel, especially one to see a Doctor is UNCONSTITUTIONAL BULLS***...If anyone knows of a Doc that's not tied up w/ this "OH MY GOD, NOT PAIN MEDICATION" attitude please let me know. It would be GREATLY APPRECIATED BY ME & SOME OTHER OLDER FOLKS THAT R HURTIN LIKE A B****...THANKS ## If you are willing to drive to Chandler on a monthly basis D...

Looking for a doctor who Prescribes soma in DFW area, preferably Garland or Plano or Richardson. I’ve been on soma for eight years through my PCP but unfortunately the practice he belongs to has closed down. I went to pain management doctor today and the charges are $500 a visit and does not prescribe some. I can’t take any other muscle relaxers. ## I really feel Texas is limiting the rights of their citizens, and Abbott doesn't care. Trying to set the law of the land with that Abortion Pill, and now wont even let doctors prescribe Soma. With all the horrible murders in the DFW area, and all the recent murders in the state, have you thought of moving to a new place like Arizona, or California? I have yet to have a doctor say no out here ## My PCP had no issues prescribin...

I just moved to Phoenix, AZ and am looking for a new doc with compassion who can prescribe Xanax / Klonopin for anxiety and Percocet for back pain. Any help appreciated. Thanks ## Xanax contains Alprazolam and Klonopin contains Clonazepam, they are both Benzodiazepines, which treat the same conditions, so it is unlikely you will find a doctor that will prescribe both. In addition, many doctors will not want to handle pain treatment and the treatment for other conditions, such as anxiety, because they are not properly trained in handling both conditions. Have you had any luck yet? ## My dr prescribes me 67 8mg suboxone, 1mg klonopin 3x daily and 1mg Xanax for insomnia. ## Xanax is really not a sleeping drug or for insomnia. While the dosage seems acceptable, taking two drugs that are ver...

Hello. Even before Tramadol became a controlled substance I have found doctors are more reluctant to prescribe it and if they do are doling it out as if they were prescribing H. I know it is not for everyone, but it is my pain drug of choice and I've used it responsibly for years. I live in the East Valley region of Metro Phoenix in Arizona and I am looking for a decent doctor who won't be a hassle in terms of prescribing this medication or calling in refills to the pharmacy in between visits. If anyone could hook me up with a doctor who isn't afraid to prescribe like the old days, I'd gratefully appreciate it. ## II don't know why any Drs are afraid to prescribe it. It did fly under the radar for years as far as pain killers go and it was a lot easier to get prescri...

My previous doctor is no longer practicing and I have been a CPP for more than 20 years. For the last 7, I was prescribed 2-80 mg Oxycontin ER twice a day and 30 mg oxycodone every 6 hours for breakthrough pain. I have not been able to find a doctor who accepts my insurance, most want cash and the visits are sky high-which I wouldn't mind if I was getting prescribed a long-acting and short-acting pain medicine. If anyone has any decent PM doctors please reply. ## Hey, I'm in the same boat as you. I've been in PM for a while now taking oxymorphone er and oxycodone 30s. I'm from New Orleans but been living in Arizona while on PM. Moving back to Nola in a few months and I'm going to need a new PM Doc. Has anyone replied to your message with a good contact? If so, could ...
