I have wheezing roblem from last 1 year. What is the difference between the Deriphyllin od 300 & Deriphyllin retard 150? ## Hello, Laksmi! How are you? From what I can find, the only difference is the dosage, otherwise they are both just different brand names for Theophylline, which is used to treat asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory disorders. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am suffering from on and off cough . I have been taking Deriphylin Retard 150 twice daily - Morning and Evening in connection with the suspected Asthma and breathing problem. As a result I have developed swollen gums and ulcerated tongue. Is it because of this medicine? If so, can you suggest some alternative or a cure? I am also taking Pan D and cream lax for constipation.

Is it fine to take this 2 tablets for long time. I was suffered from pulmonary thromoembloism and get treatment for it. Doctor prescribed to take Acitrom 10mg + clopilet A 150 + Dytor Plus10 + Deriphyllin Retard 150. My PT (INR) is 3.15. Is there any side effects or any risk involve to continue the medicines.

I am suffering from asthma and the doctor has prescribed Deriphyllin Retard 150 mg (one tablet in the morning and the other in the evening). Is it safe to take this drug with Alprazolam 0.5 mg which I have been on for the last four years?
