I am Bipolar and take 900mg Epilum in the morning as well as 900mg in the evening. I suffer from severe major depression which went through the roof after a teriible year of great losses. My GP has now put me on 20mg Cilift. Will this work? ## Sorry, I forgot to mention that I still take the Epilum and just added the Cilift 5 days ago, as I understoof that the Epilum helps with moodswingsn whilst the Cilift will help for the depression. ## Hello, Emispi! How are you? It is an effective medication for many people, but the only way to see if it will help you is by trying it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi thanks for your comment and interest. Undfortuantel...

Hello everybody. I am from Belgium, I am 47, and it has been 6 months now that I take 24mg Suboxone per day. The doctor prescript it - exceptionally, he said - in my case for severe depression (I have a history of drugs addiction, but that was a very long time ago). Suboxone is really saving my life. I feel fine with it, I can function normally. It is really a new life to me. My new psychiatrist want me to go down to 16mg a day, but I don't. Is there any reason I should go down ? If anyone had a similar experience, I would be very interested in knowing about it. Thank you all in advance. Jo. ## hi...i also have suffered from severe depression for years..i have been on every antidepressant there is..nothing lasts...but when i take suboxone,it works wonders for my depression..i have e...

I am struggling real bad with panic attacks...lots of doctors don't understand some people need benzos to live a productive life and i am 1 of them, so please help??? ## Hello, Robert! How are you? I'm sorry, but this website does not prescribe nor sell any medications or products, it is an information only website. You might be creating the problem yourself, if you're seeing doctors and asking for benzos. They have the tendency to be habit forming and are often abused, so most doctors will view that as being drug seeking behavior and just won't see you or will refuse to prescribe them. Normally, the doctor expects to make the diagnosis and suggest what you should try as a treatment, if one is appropriate. Additionally, benzodiazepines do not help with depression, since ...

I've been reading, and posting about Adderall, specifically Amphetamine Salts vs. Amphetamine IR. I think I need to mention that I was prescribed Adderall for depression, not ADD. ## Hi Wendy, Thanks for sharing your experience with Adderall. How effective do you find it to be for managing symptoms of depression? I've never heard of anyone being prescribed it for that purpose, but I can imagine how a boost in energy and being more productive during the day might take away some of those gloomy feelings...especially during this time of year when people are just trying to stay warm inside their home. Has anyone else tried it for depression and what are your thoughts? ## I beleive I was on the Mayo Clinic website looking up Adderall when I noticed it was indicated for depression. My...

is colozapam for anxiety and depression ? ## The pill in description is Clonazepam; which is a benzodiazepine derivative with highly potent anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, and anxiolytic properties. To learn more click on the link below... Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## I was prescribed it to help deal with severe chronic pain and what goes with that. Although it wasn't prescribed for depression, I suffer from that due to chronic pain and PTSD. WELL This is marketed under the brand name Klonopin and it was a trade off. I would be able to sleep (it's extremely sedating), but for the next 24-36 I would be a different person. Almost like a zombie. Worst side effect I had was it takes away any coordination, slurred speech, and w...

My friend was prescribed Haldol for depression. My friend suffers from being addicted to Perocets, and because he was going through withdraw stated that he wanted to kill himself. I know that he did not mean it, I believe it was the withdrawal. Could you help me. Is this drug the answer. ## The best thing your friend could do would be to inform his doctor of everything you've just said, that way a proper treatment plan can be undertaken. Haldol is most commonly used to treat psychotic episodes, and the FDA warns that it is very potent, and may cause side effects, such as sedation, nausea, headache, blurred vision, and mood changes. Ref: Haldol Information Are these the only medications he is currently taking?

After being on every imaginable antidepressant over the past twenty-five years and undergoing ect, I have found that Ritalin has worked the best for me. I have been taking it for about two years now and wonder why I had to suffer for so many years prior. But that is history and I don't dwell on it. I look forward to tomorrow now. ## Really helps with my depression as well as my ADD. I believe the ADD contributed to the depression because it causes me to be less productive which causes stress. ## Greetings KM. . My doc just rx'd Ritalin for depression and memory issues or severe decline only 52, plus add, panic attacks, and anxiety. Think that covers it all lol. I am disabled from the above, was actually on ssd 15 yrs ago and advised not to return to employment but decided to try...

Does anyone have experience of being treated with Dilantin for anxiety/depression/ADHD symptoms ? If so, could you advise me on dosage - Thanks ## Hope things have gotten better since you posted this. I have depression and anxiety as was adult ADD. I take patil. 10mg of Ativan as needed for the anxiety and to help me sleep when I can't calm my mind, and also Ritalin 10mg 2 times a day. The Ritalin being added really made a difference. I am not wanting to stay in bed. It has helped with my productivity and has helped me focus at work. I know this will not work for everyone but it sure did for me. ## I have taken Dilantin since I was 9 months old, then all kinds of drugs. Does anyone else have feedback after 10 years of Dilantin?

paxil 40, epleptin 100 mg and tydamine 25 mg for depression. Using paxil for 4 months now. The other 2 for 2 months. It looks as if it is not working properly. was better before the last 2 medicines was added. My daughter has like a social phobia. it is as if her condition is worse now. Can you suggest something else. She is 19 years old. Went to University at the beginning of 2013 but to study BSc Mathematical Science but couldn't finish because of the depression. ## My sister was on Tydamine and now suddenly it is not available anywhere in South Africa. How irresponsible the manufacturers are to do this to people. Do they not know how dangerous it is to just stop with no supply. What the hell do we do now!

This thread is to discuss Ibogaine as a means to treat Depression and Pain Management, including, but not limited to, anxiety, IBS, joint pain, brain fog, shortness of breath, backpain, FMS, CFS, anhedonia, sleep problems, racing thoughts, loss of libido -- symptoms which are often associated with depression. I would like to start a discussion on the subject since there is a lack of information regarding Ibogaine as a viable treatment option for Depression. Most information on the web only deals with Addiction treatment. This is an off-shoot of the thread Ketamine for Depression. You can find more information regarding my past history with depression and avenues of treatment that I've pursued in that thread (for example see post # 392 over there). Ibogaine. My doctor has started me on Brintellix 10mg as I have tried a number of well known antidepressants over the years & found none give me complete remission. I suffer with MDD & Anxiety, which I believe stems from PTSD. I found that when we found one that worked, by 6 months I had built a resistance to it & it was no longer effective. They also made me gain weight which only added to feelings of self loath. I am on day 5 with Brintellix. I had ceased all antidepressants at least 4 weeks before commencing this treatment. Day 1: I was extremely sick with anxiety prior to my taking the Brintellix. I did feel nausea about 40-50mins after but I felt it take the edge of the anxiety. Day 2: nausea persisting but bearable. Yucky taste in my mouth, did start salivating soon after taking...

Hi, Does anyone else out there get relief from chronic depression by taking the Suboxone? I take it illegally whenever I run out of Percs, and it always makes me feel better, like I can do more things and I have more energy. Next week, I go to a Suboxone doctor to get on this legally, but should I tell him that I take them illegally and that they help with my depression? I am not sure if I should tell him this. I would love to hear from someone. Thanks ## I take suboxone from a doctor and after you taking percs, yes, he may start you on the suboxone program($$$) if he sees fit- or if you are truly addicted to opiates, but when you tell him you take percs for depression he will definitely add an anti-depressant to your med. list then taper you off the sub. program. It works. Depression i...

My doctor won't put me on anything like benzos because im on methadone. I'm now on sertraline 50mg and that's not helping either. This has been going on for 5 months now and i feel im not getting the help i should be because im on methadone. My life is a nightmare right now. Is there anything i can do? ## Have you tried seeing a different doctor, perhaps a mental health specialist? They are usually the most knowledgeable about what medications can and can't be safely combined to treat such conditions. And Benzodiazepines really don't help much with depression, they mainly act as downers, so they can actually make it worse. ## Could you ever come off the methadone? Can doxycycline hyclate 100mg cause depression (because of the bad effect on the stomach). I was on it for a while (large dose) until my gut could no longer take it. I went off of it (for a UTI), when I felt better. I went back on it. From that point on I have had problems. Recently I was prescribed it for another UTI. I bravely took it & before the fourth dose my gut just plain went crazy. I cannot get a good feeling between my head & gut. I had all kinds of GI exams, all came out well for an 80 year old. I'm a hurting! ## The depression is most likely a combination of everything, not just due to the antibiotic. As to the GI issues, this antibiotic can be pretty rough on the stomach and generally, people over 65 are much more sensitive to medications and their side effects....

I am wondering if anybody else out there has taken Hydrocodone and noticed that symptoms of depression are alleviated? I find that many of today's anti-anxiety and antidepressant drugs come with unpleasant side effects, whereas while taking Hydrocodone they aren't there. The caveat to all of this is that yes, I know that Hydrocodone and opiates in general can be addictive. So long term use would result in withdrawal symptoms. I'm just wondering who else might agree with me on this? ## I have taken dozens of antidepressants as well as been prescribed antipsycotics and other meds for off-label usage, and nothing has worked effectively over the past 15 years. I will take hydrocodone for a chronic pain condition, and, YES, oh my goodness, YES, it seems to make me immune to a dep...
