Anyone who doesn't have diagnotic test results and/or refuses to get tests the dr says are necessary will be viewed as a drug seeker. ## If it involves nerves, you need an EMG (Nerve Study) ## Hello, Jodi! I have been on Gabapentin for 2 years for diabetic neuropathy, building up to 300mg x 3 times daily. Six months age I started getting a sore and burning feeling in my throat, which causes me to continually cough to clear my throat. I have had a camera down my throat and nothing bad showed. An x-ray showed I had some fluid in the base of my lungs -could this cause the soreness as well as the persistent cough? I tried reducing the Gabapentin to 200mg x 3 times and the cough eased a lot, but the nerve pain got worse so I increased it again ## Hello, Pamopal! How are you? Are you on any other medications? No, medications placed in your ear should not cause such issues with your nose and throat. The FDA lists the typical side effects as normally being limited to the ear and possibly including topical redness, itching, a feeling of fullness, and drainage. Sometimes, something may hit a certain nerve in your ear and make you cough, but that is usually the extent of it.

my mom has started syndopa plus (2x1/2 tablets/day for 7 days followed by 3x1/2 tablets/day) 3 days back. She is diagnosed with Perkinsons. She is now showing delusions and talking randomly. What shall I do? She is also taking Rasalect (1 after breakfast), Pacitane (2/day/after food) and Felicita OD. Do Loritabs contain a decongestant ## They contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, neither of which is a decongestant. Hydrocodone is sometimes used in prescription cough medications, because it acts on the nerves that cause the reflex to cough, however, it DOES NOT have any decongestant properties.
