Can I Take Tylenol 3 And Tramadol

I took a tramadol around 1 pm today. I now need another pain reliever, was wondering how long should I wait to take Tylenol with codiene? ## Hello, Jen! How are you? It is best to be cautious, because Tramadol can sometimes initiate withdrawals in people that are opiate dependent, if you try to mix them. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What dosage is the Tramadol that you're taking? Each 50mg dose of Tramadol is equivalent to 33.33mgs of Codeine, so your Tramadol might actually be stronger.

I ran out of tramadol acer 37,5/325 mg can i take tylenol 3 until i can get to my doctor ## Yes, but Tyl 3 is a little bit stronger, so maybe cut it in half. Tylenol 3 is the stronger drug, with real opiates, just so you know. ## It requires 25mgs of the Codeine in Tylenol 3 to equal each 37.5mgs of Tramadol. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. However, substituting on for the other is never advisable, without the approval of your doctor. Are there any other questions?

I am currently on what my doctor calls a "pain management" plan since nothing else has worked. I take Vicodin 7.5/325 which right now is to be my at-home-pain-reliever. I was prescribed tramadol 50mg previously to take during the day and it was awesome! No pain, alert and able to work. But good feelings faded and became nothing. Now my doc had me on the same Vicodin. And I take Tramadol 50mg. (1-2 every six hours as needed, max 6 per day - Same as Vicodin) and Tylenol 3 (300/30mg) 1-2 twice daily. I already don't feel anything with this tramadol t3 combo. What is a good substitute I can take during the day? Maybe not even take before driving (1.5 hour commute - part of the issue lol) but maybe take eight after my commute is done and my shift is about to start. Don't wann...

Root canal Friday 55 miles from home. No pain medicine given for home. When deadening wore off, this 64 year old was crying. I have Tramadol whis I take 3 a day for spinalstenosis. So my only thought was to take 2 every 6 hrs and no more than 4. It did not cut the pain. I also found Tylenol 3 in cabinet with 150 written on it. Which and how much should I take. This is July 4th and I doubt we have a pharmacy open in this rural town. The Tramadol just barely takes edge off of pain. ## Hi Glenda, Sorry to hear about your situation. I realize it's weeks past the 4th of July at this point, so I can only hope that you got everything worked out ok. I just wanted to add that legally, only your prescribing doctor or pharmacist can advise you on what and how much to take of a pharmaceutical c...

How many Tylenol 4 would I have to take to equal 400 Mgs of tramadol? I'm trying to keep the withdrawals at bay. Please help. ## Look I'm not a doctor but i do have a lot of experience with pain meds as I have been on narcotics for chronic pain since 2008. Even though tramadol is considered on the lower epsilon of narcotics I have a hard time with nausea and constipation if i mix acetaminophen with hydrocodone or percocet. Just trust your doctor and discuss it with your pharmacist. Unfortunately doctors don't always know everything you are taking and your pharmacist does. Also trust what your body tells you. Personally i half my pills until I'm sure i can handle more i try to stick to that then when I'm sure I'm ok. I take the other half and drink plenty of fluid...

Is it safe to take (2) tramadol + tylenol #3 together? What would happen? Will I need to go to the doctor? ## @Worried In Texas, If this drug combination and dosage is more than you're prescribed, I think it would be best to discuss it with your doctor first. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, there is a high potential for drug interactions between Tramadol and the Codeine present in Tylenol #3. They go on to state the following: "Treatment with both codeine and this drug may increase the risk of certain serious side effects. Using codeine together with this drug is usually not recommended, but may be required in some cases. If you are already using both medicines together, your doctor may change the dose or how often you use one or both of the medicines. Ca...

Is tylenol 3 equal to tramadol 50 mg? I want to know the difference between the two pills and which one is more effective for pain? Thanks! ## Tylenol 3 contains Acetaminophen and Codeine, it is actually very mild, but the Tramadol is only moderately stronger. The NIH warns that both carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Which one works best for you?

Does the tramadol 377 white long pill have Tylenol in them? ## Hello, Pat! How are you? No, this tablet just contains 50mgs of Tramadol, which is an opioid analgesic. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. She just got her tooth pulled and ut hurts really bad ## Hello, Arlene! How is your daughter doing? She can take, if it's been prescribed for her, but shouldn't be given to her otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opioid, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If it wasn't prescribed for her, you should consult her dentist or doctor regarding what she can take. Ibuprofen or Tylenol may help. Holding ice against that area can also ease the soreness. Is there anything else I can help with?

My dentist prescribed Tramadol hcl 50mg, Ibuprofen 800 mg and Tylenol for tooth pain. I am concerned about taking all three of them at once because I drive a school bus. Safety is my concern for kids as well as my own. ## Yes & No--you can take/do anything as long as "nothing goes wrong" 100% if you have an accident there will be a blood drawn even if it is absolutely not even your fault --so read your employment manual --you may be totally legally prohibitted. Regardless, see how it effects you BEFORE your maiden vouyage on meds. Take the tramadol during the day-- it's so low dose I can't imagine you having a problem ! Codeine makes a person sleepy -- I would not take that during the day while driving if you've not taken medication before save that one for bedti...

I have osteoarthritic hips and run a restaurant, I am on my feet 5-6 hours a day. I currently take meloxicam 3-4 days a week with Tylenol Arthritis. I need something stronger, would Tramadol 50mg be a better choice? Could I take them both in the morning safely? ## Tramadol is classified as an opiate, by FDA standards, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. As to your other question, it depends on what you want to take it with? I'm sorry, but your post wasn't clear. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you!

Is it okay to take Instaflex with Declofenac, Tramadol and Tylenol. I know white will bark has a substance similar to aspirin. I'm wondering about the Declofenac (NSAID) with an aspirin-type ingredient. Also, I no longer have AFIB but am still taking a low dose of Atenolol and Flecainide (preventive) and am slowing going off of it. Okay to take the Instaflex. My doc doesn't know a lot about these herbs. ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? I'm sorry, but no one knows a lot about herbs and natural remedies. Since they can't be patented like prescription drugs, no one has any reason to spend the money to evaluate them for side effects or interactions with medications. Have you tried contacting the manufacturers to ask if they have any information for you? ## Can you take instafle...

I have been taking Tramadol for at least 9 years now for chronic post-surgical right knee pain, back pain, and Arthritis. They just took Tramadol off of the $4 list at wal-mart and Target. I do not like narcotics because they make me feel sick, and have horrible withdrawal symptoms and side effects. I am already physically dependent on the Tramadol so I don't want to make it any worse by adding a Narc to it. I am allergic to NSAIDS to the point that if I take them it will kill me, Tramadol is becoming to expensive, and Tylenol doesn't even come close to alleviating my pain, I am in so much pain all of the time...what pain meds can I take that isn't expensive, works well on severe bone and joint pain and not an NSAID??? ## Actually, Tramadol is classified as an opiate/narcotic...

Is this drug effective for tooth ache ## Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic that can help with mild to moderate pain, so it may give some pain relief. However, if the tooth ache has been caused by an infection, it isn't going to do anything to clear that up, nor will it help with any possible swelling that may be involved. Have you consulted a dentist? ## I have sensitive teeth and so fed up of tooth extraction. Are there any suggestions apart from the canal procedure? ## I just had a root canal, I'm on penicillin for the infection which is why I had the RC, the doctor gave me Tylenol three And after taking two no help with pain. It's kind of funny, but given all of my knowledge of medications, side effects, and etc. I didn't know until recently, when my husband mentioned it, that sometimes the sacral area is thought to be related to the same area, and he was right. Which is better for pain? Tramadol, Hydrocodone apap 5 325, or Tylenol 3? I am on blood thinners ## Tramadol is stronger. I'd research about the blood thinners. Now we know that it is Still, it is a nice, less ominous, alternative to narcotics. ## Hello, Shelby! How are you? Tramadol is no more effective in controlling severe chronic pain than aspirin or Tylenol. It is so weak it should be an OTC medication. Its totally useless in controlling severe chronic pain. ## Sorry that it hasn't help you. However, it does work very well for some people that take it. Everyone is different, so what doesn't work for you may work very well for someone else and vice-versa. Learn more Tramadol details here. It didn't work for me, either. When I tried it, all it did was make me sick. However, there are many other posts from those that get great relief from it. Have you talked to your doctor about it? It's likely just not the right medication to help you and you'll probably need to try something else.

I have been taking Hydrocodone 10-325 for 5 really shattered disc's, in which 5 of the top Neuro-surgens in PA stated that I would be a dead man, if they operate. I live in constant pain and the Hydrocodone helps a little. Now a VA Doctor prescribed Tramadol 50mg tabs. This Doctor is not my Primary care Doctor, just a fill-in. Correct me if I'M wrong, but this seems to me that this will in no way take away my pain, and furthermore, it seems like pain management. What are the answers, and What can I do???? ## If you get relief from Tramadol I would stay on that. If you have a condition with chronic pain all the time you would need more than Norco. You would need Oxycontin and since you would most likely be on it for life you don't want to take tylenol every day. Chances are y...
