I just hate the way I feel on prednisone. ## Hello, Eileen! How are you? It would be best to take it as prescribed, starting with 6 tablets and tapering down to 1. This is not Prednisone, it is a steroid, but a different one. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and acne. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm on a 6 day/4mg medril dosepak what can help with the insomnia? ## I only have 7 pills (missed) out of a 6 day 4mg pack of methylprednisolone. Can i take Nyqil Severe Cold and Flu with CTM 4mg tablet ## Hello, Esther! How are you? You likely shouldn't mix them, since the Nyquil also contains an antihistamine, you'd basically be doubling up on it and that could result in overdose. The Nyquil contains Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Doxylamine and Phenylephrine, so it really contains all you need, if your doctor approves of you taking it. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, nervousness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

My father has been taking Clonazepam for years. He takes 4mg a night to sleep and he also takes Amitriptyline along with it. About 6 months ago he lost his bottle of Clonazepam and could not get it refilled for another 2 weeks (controlled substance law would not allow it until 30 days from the last refill). After about 5-6 days of cold turkey, he being having high blood pressure, vertigo, clammy skin, numbness in left arm, etc. We thought he was having a stroke. We went to an Urgent Care Clinic and the MD there said he believed it was the withdrawal from the Clonazepam. He prescribed a different Benzodiazepine that he believed would keep him from complete withdrawal and so we all assumed these symptoms would go away. Most of them did ease up, but not 100%. When he restarted the Clonazep...

I have been taking coversyl (4mg per day for six weeks) and have a very dry throat and mouth. How long will it take for this to clear up after stopping the coversyl? ## Those can be normal side effects, according to the NIH, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. However, if you are taking this to treat high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition, it could be very dangerous to stop the medication cold turkey. It would actually be best to consult your doctor, because you may need to try a different medication. Are you on any other medications?

I am a 30 year old female and in the beginning of March 2013 I got terribly sick with some sort of cold paired with a severe sinus infection. I was prescribed Methylprednisolone 4mg dose pack. I completed that with only minor side effects however it didn't really work and I was back at the doctor a mere week later feeling just as bad. I was then prescribed Prednisone 20mg tablets, taking 3 daily for 5 days. It helped my symptoms and I felt better. However, my last dose was Sunday 3/17/2013 and today is Wednesday 3/20/2013 and I am feeling incredibly strange. I feel weak, tired, irritable, depressed, dizzy and light-headed at times, off balance and I am getting mild headaches. I'm also moody and have a short temper. From looking online it looks like these are some of the devastat...
