I went to my pharmacy today here in Canada to be told that Smith Kline Glaxo is no longer making Buro Sol. Is this the case and, if it is, what are my alternatives? ## You mean the antiseptic powder? Unfortunately, since it's never been available in the U.S., I can't find much information on it or why it was discontinued. I can't even find a listing of the ingredients. Learn more antiseptic details here. Did you try asking a pharmacist if they can recommend an alternative? I would, but I'm not sure what's available in Canada. ## I currently am using Buro-sol powder with water to make solution. I live in a town west of Toronto Canada and its available here in most if not all the pharmacy's. some are now keeping the powder behind the counter but others have it with...

Buro-sol has been removed from the Canadian market and states it's discontinued. I have used this product to manage a chronic infection that I have had for the past 45 years. Its the only medication that helped manage it. Not one specialist has been able to correct the reoccurring infection. Is there another close alternative that's availableL

Has anyone had an extremely uncomfortable burning in their feet while taking 5mg Eliquis once a day? My dad keeps getting this “on fire” sensation on the soles of his feet and “sunburn feeling” in his legs. He’s only been on this dose of Eliquis for a week but it hasn’t gone away. Can caffeine also be making this worse? ## Hello, Lisa! I'm very sorry about what you're dad is experiencing. Yes, Eliquis has been known to cause these types of side effects in some people that take it. Ref: MedScape Eliquis Other side effects may include nausea, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and gout. Most side effects tend to taper off in severity, and eventually go away entirely, once someone gets used to a medication, but that may take about 4 to 5 weeks...

As an ENT specialist, I am treating Keratosis obturans and Cholesteatoma of the external ear canal. I have found a recommendation in the literature to use the above solution (Burow's aluminum acetate 5% in water). In Switzerlan practically unobtainable, I wonder if there are OTC products in other countries. Please let me know. {edited for privacy}

Is it possible for lantus to be burning during injection because of A small amount of insulin being left on the tip of the needle after priming the pen? The burn doesn't happen all the, time just sometimes. Lantus has been a great medicine and works wonderfully for me I'm just wondering what causes the burning that I sometimes get during injection? I always use room tempature lantus so that's not an issue. I Know its slightly acidic so maybe that's the cause. What do you think? ## As far as I know, it's just something that happens with injections, sometimes. My ex-husband is diabetic and he has to occasional sting when using Lantus, as well as other insulin. There really isn't much you can do about it. Insulin prescriptions, of any type, commonly warn about possi...

I get burning sensations on my legs alot and hands but after the burning sensation goes away whereever it was burning has no more hair,my leg hair litterlly disappears and doesnt ever come back,could someone please tell me whats going on. ## Have you consulted a doctor? Are you on any medications? No one is really going to be able to give you a definitive answer from just a short online post. I have, however, heard of this happening to people, but I have no idea what the diagnosis was, or what solutions were offered, if any.

If your stomach is burning that badly, it may be that this just isn't the right medication for you to take. You may need to switch to something else. And dose it have any side effects because i feel some anexity in my stomok. ## Hello, Naseem! How are you doing? All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, even over the counter products. It's just the nature of adding a chemical to the body to try to solve a health problem. Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, which is an anticonvulsant that's also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight chan...

I went in with bad ear aches and was obviously told I have ear infections. I was given amoxicillin along with Neomycin and polymyxin b sulfates and hydrocortisone otic solution, usp. It was fine the first two days then the third day and today it burns my right ear very badly. I can't keep it in the 5 min. My left ear still feels no major pain when using. Is this normal?? ## Yes, the FDA does list that as being a possible side effect of this medication, you may also experiencing redness, drainage, and itching. If it is that severe, you might need to consult your doctor about trying a different medication, or sticking with oral antibiotics, it might be that this isn't the right one for you. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

I gave platelets today. I was thirty-eight minutes in the procedure. When we had to stop the process, I was experiencing intense burning in the bladder. I was told that that was because the dosage of citrate dextrose solution was too high. My question is this: Is this a normal reaction to a high dose? Should I not try to give platelets again? This was my second attempt to give platelets. My first attempt we had to stop because I also had some discomfort in the bladder. The discomfort was not this intense.

My father was 32% burn from electric and admitted in hospital. After one month he developed DVT. Now he is suffering this problem from two month and taking Acitrom 6mg daily, After that he has an skin alergy in burn areas. please advice me how can i solve these problems. ## With the burns and that skin still healing, I have to say that it is really far to risky to try to solve these issues on your own. Has he consulted his doctor? It is normal for the healing skin in burned areas to be more sensitive and it will sometimes react to something that the rest of someone's skin does not. They may be able to provide him with something else he can use to alleviate the symptoms or they may need to switch him to a different medication. The Acitrom contains an Acenocoumarol compound, it is an ...
