A friend of mine is taking this pill but was not prescribed it by a dr. Is this going to be harmful. ## Yes, there is a possibility that it could be harmful, that's why it requires a doctor's prescription. This tablet is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 10mgs of mixed amphetamine salts, it is a generic for Adderall, which is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, elevated blood pressure, weight loss and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with? ## This was helpful. I will pass on this information to my friend. Thank you ...

it is an blue oval shape pill with 15 on one side and 3 on the other ## After searching for several variations of the marking "15 3" (including other numbers) I haven't been able to locate a match in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases. Odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. Also double check the marking if you think there's more to it than what you stated. Did you obtain this pill off the street by chance? ...

I found a small bottle with a few of these pills in it. The bottle is generic. What pill is this? ## Hello, Dee! How are you? Could it possibly be an R, rather than a Y? There is round, blue tablet manufactured by Actavis with a stylized R on one side and the numbers 031 on the opposite that they list as containing 1mg of Alprazolam, which is a generic for Xanax. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders.
